Notice that The Beast sign is missing from those photos. I wonder if it'll be moved back to The Beast Canyon Cold Drinks building for this weekend or if it's been laid to rest for the year.

I would venture to say that is part of the gigantic crane that is going to be used to install the tall supports of the lift.

I happened to see a semi backing into the area in front of The Beast earlier today. Not sure what was on the bed because it was just out of the frame, but it didn't look like it was carrying track or supports. It wasn't a flat bed trailer. My first thought was possibly shipping parts of a crane.

I cringe at the thought of a late night Saturday ride for the sake of that crew. Because of the fireworks policy, I've seen the crew get out extremely late. A late night ride would probably result in The Beast crew getting out at 1 or later.

LOL honestly that doesnt look very thrilling. It may be terrifying to a child, but just a little rocking back and forth. Huss has got another winner right there!

^ Sorry tennageninja, but Flight Decks breaks do not close by default. As with a lot of Arrow coasters (if not all), there are airbags that inflate to pinch the breaks shut. If there is a loss of air pressure, the breaks release. That is the reason why The Vortex and Flight Deck trains, must be chained when the ride is shut off, and also why at night a train is parked on the hill on flight deck and Vortex.

Ok now hearing your part about the grapevine Browntggrr, turns the tables a little for me. If that turns out to be true that the kid was being stubborn and would not get out of the train he deserved a little bit of a reprecusion. However, I feel that Mr. Nelson overstepped the boundaries when he said the kid wasn't going to ride any ride because he was blind.

^O yeah. They couldn't work any slower on that section of 275. But I haven't hit any really bad traffic driving that stretch so far this year.

^Gordon I think he may be refering to the round trip. Although i dont know for sure, I dont live in Fairfield Township. I know it takes me 40 minutes to drive to KI from Harrison, OH, but I drive the highway all the way.

^Did anyone else notice that the Sandusky register reffered to Robin Innes as a Park Spokeswoman. I thought for sure Robin Innes was a guy. Anyway, that's pretty sad that students would be dumb enough to do something like that and ruin the day for their classmates.

Gordon is right. It was just a coincidence that Crypt opened when rides started to close due to rain. Seeing as it was a Friday morning and people are still in school there simply were not enough ride ops to run every single ride. The park is always short staffed on fridays during preseason.

I believe those are trim breaks, but I could be completely wrong. I've not ridden many B&Ms in my life.

That looks like it was an amazing coaster. I wish a park would build this today. To me it looks kinda like a wood version of Maverick.

I always enjoy how you say it without saying it LoL... he must know something that I don't. To me it seems Interpreter always knows something most others do not. I'm def with you Browntggrr. I would like some definative proof of these things at the park. But who is to say these tubs were "sitting" in the parking lot. They very well could have bee moving through the lot to the access gate so they could be taken to the paint shop. It doesnt take long to drive down the fulltimers road and into the gate to get to the backstage area. But judging from where this picture is in the parking lot that is doubtful. I still would like more pictures to give a real answer.

Looking around the net today and came across this Flying Eagles fansite. http://flyeraddicts.com/ On the right side of the page under "Flyer Addict News" there is a news story and a picture claiming that two flyers tubs were spotted in the KI parking lot on October 12th. As the story says, "Could the eagles be making a return to the park in 2008?" What do you think? I don't trust it yet because the picture is so small, but from what I can tell the tubs look new.
