  1. Not that I'd ride it, but I'd like to see a Zipper in Coney Mall. Also a Tilt a Whirl and a Musik Express would be nice there too.
  2. I wish I could go over there but Action Zone is not my area. On a side note kjkjkj is was nice freaking out your sister when I came up and greeted here by name on Friday by the gate.
  3. It's crazy the amount of progress they've made so far today. Can't wait to see it in person this Friday!
  4. I braved the weather last night after a drive from Columbus. I wanted the drive to be worthwhile, so I still entered the park. I was really impressed with Board to Death I thought it was well done and lots of fun. The actors I came across in there IMO were good and energetic. Delta Delta Die had good scenery and a good layout, but the actors were not very energetic other than the entrance staff. I'm betting they'll get better though. Carnevil was good all around I thought. The crew was very into it for a good opening night. Madame Fats was good and delivers with its great scenery. There were some timing issues with the actors, which is nothing but time will fix. My biggest disappointment by far was Urgent scare. The actors were extremely quiet, and not very active. I could see actors lips moving, but couldn't here a word they were saying. The others I felt were just standing or sitting looking at the groups going by them. The redeeming points were the front desk staff which were great, as well as Steve in a hallway as usual! I still think with time it will be good as always though!
  5. Really excited for Haunt can't wait to roam the streets Friday. I'll be looking for victims from KIC haha.
  6. The starlight spectacular is very disappointing compared to what it was. I took my grandma down there Labor Day weekend, and was in shock as to how terrible it looked. I turned around before we even got to the stars. On a side note the garden clock wasn't working a lot this year I noticed. Will be extremely sad to see that feature go. I've loved it since I was a kid.
  7. Also from personal experience, I believe you get much more wet from the flume rather than the falls. This was even more true when the dang elephant was there. Congo Falls you can escape without wet shoes by putting them under the seat in front of you (minus the front seat). To me it's perfect amount of wet, as a majority of the splash goes outward. The only way you get real wet is if the geysers hit you, which rarely happens. I honestly suggest it as a way to cool off without getting drenched!
  8. Wow that's incredible he had his hands all over the industry. Always like hearing about the peoe that helped shape a place I love. He seems to definitely deserve a plaque on the wall !
  9. Trip was amazing! It truly is an incredible place! The scenery is top notch, everyone was friendly, and the rides and food were great. I'll be writing a report once I get back home. As of right now, still on the road from VA Beach. Apollo's Chariot is much better than Diamondback IMO. I was simply amazed!
  10. Thanks for the tips! I'll be sure to do a trip report. Really excited for all of the scenery. BG Tampa was beautiful, so I expect the same here! Also excited for Verbolten and Alpengeist!
  11. Hey guys I'm currently in the Williamsburg area after a trip to Kings Dominion. I'm settling in my hotel and I'm going to be visiting Busch Gardens tomorrow. Any tips on the park? What should we ride first? Also any ideas of good food inside the park? What about in the area?
  12. Yeah I agree the actual track color looks darker and better than I the rendering IMO.
  13. I said it in another thread, but I would love the score from The Crypt queue to come over to Banshee! Along with the inception theme of the ride cycle I think that would set the perfect atmosphere.
  14. I for one hope they recycle the music that was played throughout the line and the ride cycle of The Crypt. I absolutely loved that and it would fit perfectly. I'll always miss sonny because he broke my fear of coasters, but I'm stoked for Banshee!
  15. The second link that CedarPointer posted www.kiDiamondback.com loaded the Diamondback website on my iPhone. It's fast and full of venom!
  16. I don't necessarily mean block the new attraction but it's all a possibility. I love all the different ideas that spring up during speculation!
  17. I'm all for a coaster but when I saw the groups of footings I thought they looked like something for a luminosity stage. I think that'd be why it's so close to the midway as well as the break between the two pieces of land. A ride and a show to make Action Zone happening again! Although ride wise I want another wooden coaster!
  18. Honestly when I saw the footers for the first time I thought luminosity stage. It doesn't really line up with the teasers but would explain the break in the two pieces of land. A new attraction and a new ride to put the action back in Action Zone.
  19. Absolutely ticked that they won't refill the cups from years past. I wouldn't be mad if say it was an Italian Job or Son of Beast cup. Mine is a Dinosaurs Alive cup I bought last year. I would even expect to still pay the 1.99 for a refill on a cup for an attraction that still exists. I have a whole large bag full of useless cups now lol. Guess that's what I get for collecting em as souvenirs. I'm going to guest relations though!
  20. It was a pleasure to have met him and converse with him... He always seemed to have a smile on his face. Glad to see he got to see his boys ride some of his favorites. As good as a man he was... He did not deserve to suffer. RIP Keith
  21. What is also a cool thing i noticed... In the picture TY posted you can see where the park added more deck around the footer of the skyride once it was gone. Thanks for the thread J.D. it brought a once poster turned lurker out of slumber again. I rarely reply to things but I felt the need too for this!
  22. I do not know if it is still occuring or not but Flight of Fear was also assigning seats on the 24th when I was there... it actually made the operations seem more smooth on the ride imo.
  23. I just went for the first time on closing day.. I loved all three of the rides but The Legend absolutely blew me away... It is everything to me a wood coaster should be. It has good speed isn't too short and the lats pack a punch. Also, not to mention the tunnels and the pops of air mixed with just a slight roughness. Love it Raven was great but was rather short I didn't want it to stop Voyage was almost too mind blowing... a great awesome ride, but it just got outshined
  24. Yeah I believe the LED signs have not listed SoB as closed this year... I know it hasn't the 12 different times I've visited the park. I check the LED signs every time i'm there. I figured it would at least list it, but no mention. Oh well...
  25. The rails (switchbacks) in the station are gone except for the gates (I believe). Stalkerchick, Coasterkid and a few others observed that the day of coasting for kids from Drop Tower. Still confirms nothing... but reguardless something is going on, but we just have to wait. I hope for something good...
