After having my 5 year old Canon Powershot stolen at the Banshee unveiling, I actually found myself wishing I did have a fanny pack in some ways, it was just small enough to fit in one.

Still just another TV show, but I personally prefer Ghost Adventures! At least they are entertaining.
-
Just remember, my friend, Ghost Hunters is just a TV show.

The ride announcer said it was haunted by a girl. I never heard that one when I worked there... I blame the show Ghost Hunters after their visit to the park. Yeah....I never heard of that until I saw that episode. The only real ghost story was tower johnny. Thats the one we used to talk about. We used to always blame his ghost when one of the rides in Rivertown would break down. It was rumored that the elevator cables that killed tower johnny are back in a maintenance graveyard behind Beast. There are cables back there but not sure if they really are from the incident. I've actually heard of Missouri for years well before the show aired (actually have my own experiences... o_o none of which have to do with the train tho as they happened around WWC). Just stating since the show it seems the employees now include her into the ride as more people been curious of her, I guess. The fact everyone seems to know of her now is new when tower Johnny for the longest time was the most talked about. (at least from what I seen during my years there)

Knott's Berry Farm - August 10th, 11th, 13th and 14th IMG_6522 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr Probably one of the most emotional visits I ever had yet to Knott's. On August 11th as I had just got into the park I received a text message from one of my SoCal friends informing me the passing of a long time veteran to the Knott's Haunt due to a massive heart attack just a couple hours prior, only 37 years old. This gentleman was one of the people I looked up to for advice my rookie year at FearFest at KI, despite the fact the parks were different companies then, they still offer help when I asked. Certainly one of my inspirations and among the reasons I decided to even go for working as a scareactor (since I sort of grew up with Knott's Haunt in a way anyway). Outside Haunt, he was an actor (he even appeared on Jay Leno bout a month ago during a brief skit), sumo wrestler and a good father. I was invited to a couple memorials that took place with several other Haunters, and yeah it was pretty emotional. After getting the text I could barely stand being inside Knott's cause of the memories so my visit that day was cut pretty short, but I know he wouldn't want me to NOT have fun. Though, as weird it may sound, I feel like perhaps I was meant to be there, had I been in Ohio I doubt I would been able to go to any memorial and I prefer closure of some type. :/ Apart from what had happened, it was still a good visit. Got my ride on Coast Rider, I might be minority but I prefer WildCat, though still a fun little ride. The Boardwalk does look amazing and Boomerang looks gorgeous! More eye popping than before to look at. Ghost Rider is now my favorite night ride at Knott's, very wild ride with intense airtime in the front, not too mention the rides it delivered (no matter where I sat) was actually quite fun. Second favorite night ride being Silver Bullet (in the very back), everything is such a blur to me, lol. Log Ride renovation was certainly for the better, the animatronics are soooooo cool! Seeing WindSeeker was pretty sad....I've no real problem with the WindSeekers so seeing the Knott's one just sitting quiet knowing the others been open was a huge bummer. Anyway...on a tight schedule so I'm just gonna go straight to the pictures: IMG_6390 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr IMG_6422 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr IMG_6652 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr IMG_0076 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr IMG_0054 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr

Favorite ride at Cedar Point.

My favorite ride isn't even there anymore. As far as coasters go....a tie between Magnum and Raptor. -
It be cooler if it had cave men too. Some certain guys come to mind that would be all for working that... The guy who plays Undertaker goes farther back than Club Blood debut year actually (he was working with me in Sleepy Hollow Horror in 2004).

My Georgia Aquarium drawstring backpack is always with me When I was small I had a fanny pack from CP, (still got it actually in my closet) but that was back when I would mimic my grandparents cause both of them had one. I think I stopped using it when I turned 11.
-
Outside KI I always love Magnum's lift. It always make me think someone is having a fit throwing all their dishes to their kitchen floor and the lift makes the crashing noises as they break. And another sound I like is Montezooma's Revenge at Knott's. Dunno about smells around KI, I have a hard time getting past smelling sweat and cigarette smoke everywhere.

Son of Beast lift was my favorite sound.

Where can I find Son of Beast advertisements from 1999-2000?

The commercial with the baby carriage used to be online but for whatever reason was taken down. T___T -
My ability to remember lyrics and then google them later helped me to learn that the opening number is "New Born" by Muse. Some other songs are: Edge of the mirror by Emme Rose and Scream n shout by Britney Spears/Will.i.am for those interested. I miss Barbra streisand, Nightmare to Remember and Bangarang, lol. To those who don't like the show now, you are probably better off staying away from the Haunt show. Personally loved seeing his Knott's shows over the last few years when I go out there, look forward to what he does at KI for this year.

That's how I am with Vortex. It's my first coaster (6-8yo). My dad dragged me on it. I lost him 8 years ago. I'd be devastated if Vortex was destroyed. It's because of him that I love riding. Me with Space Spiral/Disaster Transport/WildCat and all 3 are gone. I don't like looking at pictures of DT in the dismantling process and Space Spiral fenced off, almost glad I was never actually at the park during those times. Thank you grandpa for shoving me onto the rides >_>

Are we overloading the forum software?

Personally have not experienced any issues until yesterday and the day before... -
Thank you! It is "Continuous Shooting". Was using that function at all the shows I caught.

Rainy trip to Kings Island 07/22/2013 IMG_5237 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr On this day I have finally got to play with the "drive mode" on my camera and managed an ungodly amount of 1,320 pics at KI yesterday when I typically average about 200 a trip. Just think what will happen my next trip to SeaWorld...if I manage 5,000 the entire trip and just pressing that button over and over again. It was rainy, but I figure what the hell? This will probably be my only trip to the park before I go back to Knott's since work comes first. This trip ended up being about the shows. My morning actually started out at a very familiar place to me...had breakfast at Great Wolf. I got to the main gate at around 9:15 just before they started letting people through. I rode Diamondback once at ERT, and I went to The Beast when it started to get busy and got to get few back to back rides on it (4 rides). It began to pour as I was walking back to I-Street from Beast so it led me to the Grand Carousal and I took a bunch of pictures. IMG_4545 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr IMG_4530 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr ...and question....when was the last time the organ ran? The rain had let up a bit after about a half hour so I walked to Festhaus, and they were halfway through a showing of British Invasion. Since it was still raining and I haven't seen the show yet this year all the way through I decided to stick around for the next show (which was a half hour later). I must say, I actually did enjoy the show this year. Certainly my favorite show besides Ed Alonzo at the park now. IMG_4603 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr IMG_4746 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr I immediately went straight to KI theater for the first Ed Alonzo show for the day. The show had several technical difficulties that were quickly fixed and I love Ed's talent of taking something like that and making it funny. IMG_5037 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr IMG_5152 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr IMG_5247 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr After Ed Alonzo I was back at Great Wolf to get something to eat. Hour later I returned to the park to go take pics of Vortex and Dback for a bit to kill time before the next Ed Alonzo show I was catching. IMG_5269 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr IMG_5313 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr IMG_5392 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr After the show (which was a tad shorter than usual...they completely removed the part where he does the knife throw that particular show) it was time for me to go home. Death at Six Flags over Texas
faeriewench replied to mullimann's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
That story reminds Me if the day before the major Son of Beast accident. I was at spirit song and it was in between shows I went out to use the restroom. As I was leaving timberwolf a guy was on his phone and I heard him say "Son of Beast crashed?" I went over there and it was shutdown but not got crashing. The very next day it would have it's accident and lose its loop. As for this accident, if she ready was making a commotion about not being secured wouldn't another op e stop or even not send the train? I'm sure it takes multiple ops to send a train. I was working in Action Zone, sweeping around Top Gun's entrance at the time of the SOB 2006 incident. There was a lady ride op sitting at the entrance of SOB and the phone rings, after she hangs up puts a can in place and went running for the station. Was not a fun afternoon that's for sure. Thoughts and prayers to the lady's family. :/ I hate tragedies like this. -
They already do (if its the theme of the Haunt you refer to) and that is Grimm Boulevard. Since Fright Zone became Steamworks a couple years ago.. I haven't been to Haunt at KI since 2011, so didn't get to experience Grimm Boulevard (I think). What I'm talking about is Maniacal Mechanical Screamworks. That's probably my 2nd favorite Scare Zone. I also like Cedar Point's version of Carn Evil. I think KI attempted this, don't know if it was there last year or not. Yeah, Screamworks and Grimm got their similarities. Though, by far, I prefer Necropolis at Knott's.

Have fun to everyone who goes. I'll be there in spirit. My physical being will more than likely be poolside with a dolphin named Lightning (or maybe riding Canyon Blaster...).

What ride would you not ride at Kings island.

Firehawk.
