  1. Apply once you turn 15.
  2. Personally have not experienced any issues until yesterday and the day before...
  3. Thank you! It is "Continuous Shooting". Was using that function at all the shows I caught.
  4. Rainy trip to Kings Island 07/22/2013 IMG_5237 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr On this day I have finally got to play with the "drive mode" on my camera and managed an ungodly amount of 1,320 pics at KI yesterday when I typically average about 200 a trip. Just think what will happen my next trip to SeaWorld...if I manage 5,000 the entire trip and just pressing that button over and over again. It was rainy, but I figure what the hell? This will probably be my only trip to the park before I go back to Knott's since work comes first. This trip ended up being about the shows. My morning actually started out at a very familiar place to me...had breakfast at Great Wolf. I got to the main gate at around 9:15 just before they started letting people through. I rode Diamondback once at ERT, and I went to The Beast when it started to get busy and got to get few back to back rides on it (4 rides). It began to pour as I was walking back to I-Street from Beast so it led me to the Grand Carousal and I took a bunch of pictures. IMG_4545 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr IMG_4530 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr ...and question....when was the last time the organ ran? The rain had let up a bit after about a half hour so I walked to Festhaus, and they were halfway through a showing of British Invasion. Since it was still raining and I haven't seen the show yet this year all the way through I decided to stick around for the next show (which was a half hour later). I must say, I actually did enjoy the show this year. Certainly my favorite show besides Ed Alonzo at the park now. IMG_4603 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr IMG_4746 by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr I immediately went straight to KI theater for the first Ed Alonzo show for the day. The show had several technical difficulties that were quickly fixed and I love Ed's talent of taking something like that and making it funny. Hour later I returned to the park to go take pics of Vortex and Dback for a bit to kill time before the next Ed Alonzo show I was catching. 5. That story reminds Me if the day before the major Son of Beast accident. I was at spirit song and it was in between shows I went out to use the restroom. As I was leaving timberwolf a guy was on his phone and I heard him say "Son of Beast crashed?" I went over there and it was shutdown but not got crashing. The very next day it would have it's accident and lose its loop. As for this accident, if she ready was making a commotion about not being secured wouldn't another op e stop or even not send the train? I'm sure it takes multiple ops to send a train. I was working in Action Zone, sweeping around Top Gun's entrance at the time of the SOB 2006 incident. There was a lady ride op sitting at the entrance of SOB and the phone rings, after she hangs up puts a can in place and went running for the station. Was not a fun afternoon that's for sure. Thoughts and prayers to the lady's family. :/ I hate tragedies like this.
  6. They already do (if its the theme of the Haunt you refer to) and that is Grimm Boulevard. Since Fright Zone became Steamworks a couple years ago.. I haven't been to Haunt at KI since 2011, so didn't get to experience Grimm Boulevard (I think). What I'm talking about is Maniacal Mechanical Screamworks. That's probably my 2nd favorite Scare Zone. I also like Cedar Point's version of Carn Evil. I think KI attempted this, don't know if it was there last year or not. Yeah, Screamworks and Grimm got their similarities. Though, by far, I prefer Necropolis at Knott's.
  7. Have fun to everyone who goes. I'll be there in spirit. My physical being will more than likely be poolside with a dolphin named Lightning (or maybe riding Canyon Blaster...).
  8. They already do (if its the theme of the Haunt you refer to) and that is Grimm Boulevard. Since Fright Zone became Steamworks a couple years ago..
  9. But someone has got to do it... when it doesn't get done you got a disaster on your hands. Bout 8 years of that at KI and The Beach under my belt. I loved the exercise x) On another note...I wouldn't call it the worst (because it was some of the best fun I ever had) but I will call it one of the hardest and that is.....Haunt monster.
  10. That's because knots berry farm is in California. Southern (or SoCal) I might add. California's Great America in NoCal doesn't even do a Christmas event either.
  11. Only Platinum Passes can do that, not the Gold Pass.
  12. Did you do Blazing Fury, by any chance? For me that's almost a guilty pleasure. x)
  13. Dollywood is one of the most gorgeous parks I ever been to. Love Tennessee Tornado, Thunderhead and of course their train. Glad you to had a good time there!
  14. Actually, Busch gardens Tampa has a haunt similar to this called "Alone". If you pay the fee you can walk through the haunt completely alone or with your group. And somewhere near the end I believe, they separate you. There is a video on you tube....It was a pocket video, so its not too good but you could hear the show....sounds kind of intense. I think Knotts has one...I cant be certain, but I like the idea of the more intense attraction. Trapped was Knott's. But you don't get your money back.
  15. So can't wait for Knott's! I'm excited for Forevermore, the woman behind that does very stunning work and her mazes are always just as lovely to look around in.
  16. My dad probably react the same way.
  17. I typically prefer being alone. Usually am alone when I go to any park. The only real exception being Knott's since I have a lot of friends/extended family in the area or working at the park. But everywhere else...just enjoying myself, lol. That is the nice thing is I don't have to listen to the whining of the other person, I never deal with that well. I seldom do a lot of coaster riding anyway because I often have my camera equipment. If I want to hang out with someone, I'd usually post something on the KIC meetup board and try to leave the good camera at home. (Doing so frees me up to ride rides. ) So doing parks alone is no big deal. XD
  18. I for one enjoy the Indy Zoo. That shouldn't be a shock to most though, lol. (besides the dolphins....I like the tigers, cheetahs, and of course the African elephant exhibit) Lovely pics! Love the giraffe captures
  19. Marineland Canada I suppose. I have to admit...KI almost feels exotic if not a bit alien to me now and it is supposed to be my "home park". I guess it's because of the traveling lately :/ I believe there are pictures of it on the KIC photo gallery...
  20. For anyone who has ridden it, what are your thoughts? Just so I have somewhat of a idea on what to expect. I'll be doing the Disney parks in SoCal for the first time August 12th.
  21. ^Silver Bullet makes me grey out, lol. I don't really care too much for these types of articles. I'm convinced they are just opinions of the author.
  22. What is King's Island? and what is Snoopy Island? o_o
