  2. A very important person at Kings Island has always said that it's a good thing that you [members of KIC] complain about stuff... it means you care.
  3. I was over at GeaugaLakeToday.com (I wouldn't stop by there right now -- they ain't happy) and someone posted some photos of Thunderhawk being removed as well as what appears to be some flat rides and the Dominator and Thunderhawk trains being prepped for shipping. Notice that the downhill part of the initial drop on Thunderhawk has been removed. This is almost exactly how they began the removal of X-Flight Thunderhawk's trains being prepped for shipping? Dominator's trains being readied for transport? Dominator still stands untouched as of the other day... What appears to be some flat ride and flat ride accessories ready to be shipped/sold/scrapped. If you want to read the thread about it on GL Today, click here.
  4. If enthusiasts made up 10%... no 5%... no 1% of the park's attendance, we'd be able to have a KIC event every week.
  5. Thanks for giving me a target to scare Friday night. Fortunately for him, you're in CornSTALKERS, which is the least scary and weakest of all of the scare zones. BURN!!!!
  6. Yeah i agree...Kings Island should not encorage masochism. I'm sorry. I must have missed the press release in which Kings Island said they encouraged masochism.
  7. HEY I GO W/ MY DADAND MOM EVERY YEAR WILL I BE ABLE TO GET INTO CLUB BLOOD W/ HIM AND MY MOM PS: IM 14 Kings Island isn't your parents, so they're not going to stop you. However, it's your parents responsibility to know the content of the Halloween Haunt attractions by reading and comprehending the warnings. It's their call.
  8. Basically if someone makes a post that's in violation of the Terms of Service agreed to when you signed up for these forums, I just delete it and deal with it on an individual level. However, sometimes we can't get to single posts fast enough and someone makes some sort of rude comment and 5 or 10 people respond to it with more rude comments. At that point, it's hard to salvage the thread.
  9. I'm back and forth about CF saying it would do no good. It kind of stinks to stomp out the element of hope, however Cedar Fair's honesty says a lot.
  10. Most adult rides will run at night similar to Halloweekends. Unfortunately, NOTHING is off limits for Halloween Haunt, so the squeamish may have to toughen up!!
  11. Due to the many many TOS violations, the thread was removed.
  12. Maybe, maybe not. I'm willing to guess that they'll have it open to passholders from 10 to 5 and then close it from 5-7 and reopen as an upcharge for HH. Then again, you'll just have to wait until the park announces how they're going to handle it.
  13. Yes, it is. Back in March? I believe I was walking by Bill's Giggle coaster and saw a hawk sitting on the track. As I walked by, it hid under the hill, and as I kept going it jumped back up on top of the track. I am assuming there was a nest under there. Was the highlight of my day........ Don't forget the ducks that take refuge in the Royal Fountain when it's not on.
  14. That is a decision that has not been made yet.
  15. They used a ton of fog in the midways and stuff. They also did a great job of decorating the park.
  16. I was there briefly Saturday night and all day Sunday. Sunday's crowds were minimal. At one point, we only waited 40 minutes for Maverick. The Haunts could use quite a bit of work in my opinion. We did the Werewolf Canyon, the one in Disaster Transport, the Vampire one, and the Mortuary School one. A lot of them seemed short of actors. On the other hand, I did get to catch Monsters of Rock... Buried Alive, and the Tim Hill magic show. Personally, I thought the theme of the Monsters of Rock show was kind of weak. Essentially it was a watered down School of Rock in which the people were dressed up like monsters. The Tim Hill thing was kind of fun, but it seemed as though the crowd didn't react to many of his jokes. Overall great time, though!
  17. Let's keep X-Flight discussions in the present, please.
  18. Halloween Haunt will definitely be an upcharge next year, however it's FREE with park admission and for passholders this year. Don't forget that it starts this Friday!!!
  19. That article is simply speculation. It is NOT an official word. Trust me, if KI were getting some new rides or whatever, you guys would know long before the enquirer.
  20. Forget that Infosino character... go to that Pulse Journal web site click on entertainment then go to Kings Island... they have one awesome Kings Island section. I'd say it's as good, if not better, than KIC!!
  21. Did you have to rent a trailer for all of the stuff you walked out of the park with?? Good TR.
  22. Can you supply a link for that? I threw them that quote on CB and they want a link for some reason... I can't find it.
  23. Does anyone know what the crowds will be like on Sunday? Will the other Sundays in October be more crowded for the Halloween events? It'll likely be busy this Sunday since they have those discounted tickets.
  24. Yes, P&G = Proctor and Gamble?
  25. Who is the girl on the far left in the second pic? With the charcoal coat on. That was Jennifer Castellina (sp?) she was the seasonal marketing coordinator kind of like Josh Hackenberg is now. From what I understand, she now works for P&G.
