  1. I'm having trouble picturing where it was stalled...
  2. International Street is done rather well. Coney 'Maul' has a nice CarnEVIL theme too it as well. As for mazes, I'd say Club Blood takes the cake.
  3. If most of the ScareActors are leaving at midnight, why not do all of the mazes before midnight, hop on a ride, and then catch the 12:30 showing of Dead Awakening?
  4. Well, there IS a text-to-voice feature, but isn't that a little much... I mean, if KIC existed before the days of text messaging I suppose we could have formed a phone tree...
  5. Feeling Haunted? Tour Ohio Article about Halloween Haunt and other haunted Ohio attractions. Includes a photo that Dane and I will probably never live down...
  6. Maybe you should ask.....
  7. We could have multiple tiers: 1) Those who just want major updates. 2) Those who want KI news and KIC updates. 3) Those who want all updates, news, and info.
  8. As Kings Island Central continues to bring you the latest Kings Island news and information we are always looking for ways to keep you connected as well as informed. One idea has been to have text alert updates whenever Kings Island or KICentral has major news or information. Couple of notes: Your information, is CONFIDENTIAL and would only be used for the text updates. Updates would only be when necessary. You would not get texts daily or even on a regular basis. You can add and remove yourself from the text alert list whenever you want. Let us know what you think. Ryan
  9. A CarnEVIL shirt? Cool! I think that's the first time I've seen merch for any particular Halloween attraction.
  10. Couple of different reasons. First of all, being an open-air venue, it's kind of a come and go as you please atmosphere, so regardless of how good a show is, you'll see people walk out of that venue. Secondly, it's a lofty idea to have someone sit still for a half hour at an amusement park. You'll notice that most people leave about 20 minutes into it, which is just enough time to get used to sitting down
  11. Either that or they're going to come out with new merch for next year... could be as simple as that...
  12. Are you ready? Ever think that IF those trains are at KI that they may be used for parts?
  13. This is the only site where a simply discussion about a buffet meal at an amusement park can turn into a heated argument about the ADA......
  14. Here's the full press release.. about the meal, not the wheel chairs...
  15. Magnum - YES, MF and TTD... you ride 'em once, you're pretty set. Last weekend I was up there and didn't ride either, but managed to squeeze in several rides on Magnum and Maverick.
  16. Let's talk worst case scenario: Kings Island is down 5%. That would mean that there are five less people per hundred. I really doubt that would significantly impact the line at all.
  17. I suppose an elevator is a viable option, but where? They'd probably have to have two since there's an outside entrance and an inside. Plus the main room is two tiered with no access to the lower one and there's also a step down into the bar area.
  18. The Rakes-Helbig Funeral Parlor Welcomes You. Come "pay your respects" at this one-of-a-kind buffet meal in the International Restaurant. This dinner experience begins at 5:00pm every Friday and Saturday night during the all-new Halloween Haunt. Dine on an all-you-can-eat menu of Southern Fried Chicken, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Brownies and Soft Drinks. After dinner (approximately 6:45pm), we'll take you directly to your final destination - the new CLUB BLOOD haunted attraction - before the park opens to the public! WARNING: This event is too intense for young children. Hurry, there are a limited number of seats each night. FRIGHT FEAST MEAL PRICE - $14.95 PER PERSON! Good for the following Friday or Saturday Nights: October 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27. Ticket is NOT good for admission to Halloween Haunt -- Admission Sold Seperately Click here to order your meal tickets!
  19. Fridays are 7-1am Saturdays are 12-1am Sundays 11 - 7pm, until bare bones week in which the park is open Sunday (Oct 28th) until Halloween from 7pm to midnight.
  20. I like how he suggests saving money... buying 10 or more tickets. Didn't mention seeing if there are discount tickets online like every other amusement park on earth.
  21. Are you talking about the Monsters of Rock -- Buried Alive from Cedar Point? No thanks. Granted it was MUCH better than Baldini, but it sill just wasn't a particularly good show. I say let Kevin Brunck write another show.
  22. Capturing the sites and sounds of Halloween Haunt is something that's not easy to do. Being so big and such an intriguing experience, it's hard to fully show you the goods in photo form... so here's the video. Brought to you by ZosoBeast. If you have trouble with embedded video, follow this link: 3OJWj2JojwA&NR
  23. You're absolutely right, but I still think that if Cedar Fair was really worried that you knew that CF parks were in fact CF parks, they'd brand their name to them.
  24. Did I read that three Cedar Fair executives purchased the park in 1969? Is there any truth to that?
  25. That's something that KI had to deal with when Firehawk was moved. Ultimately KIC was given free reign to talk about Firehawk as the former X-Flight. I think the same day that the initial press release came out, they had another about the process of moving a coaster.
