  1. The best part was how they managed to make it so it seemed like he looked directly at everyone in the queue area. Of course, it didn't make much sense after the line went directly into the ride house, but when it was packed, it was almost interactive... he was talking directly to you.
  2. I was against wearing website shirts until I joined the staff of this site and decided to support the cause. Now I inherently wear a PKIC shirt to the park whenever I go. It's actually turned out to be kind of cool because a lot of people that I had never met before come up and start talking to me because they recognize the logo.
  3. You might be a PKI addict if.. you get mixed up in PKI employee drama even though you live an hour away and have never worked there.
  4. You guys probably noticed a window of several hours this afternoon in which the site was down. This is a result of Nexigen making MAJOR improvements to their system which will make PKIC a bigger and better site than ever in the coming months. Unfortunately sparatic downtime is the price we have to pay in order to make these improvements. PKICentral and Nexigen both thank you for your patience during this process. Ryan
  5. Only if you replace it with a bigger woodie.
  6. Apparently this was this biggest one ever.
  7. I remember that....
  8. RT LaRosa's has calzones...
  9. This is already being discussed here.
  10. They cemented in the old entrance. That queue goes nowhere. Photo
  11. We intend to have all sorts of video, but I don't know if the park will allow a POV as he had. But yes, it looked really lame. It doesn't seem to do justice to the ride itself.
  12. Dude your starting to really p*ss me off scooby-doo is beloved by millions and like was said PKI or paramount wont get anything scary unless it's for fearfest.SDATCH is very popular among kids there is always a long line which goes quite I'd say it's one the most popular rides in HBL. I agree that Scooby is still really popular, but you have to admit, the ride itself is kind of poorly done.
  13. Not necessarily. If you put it upside down, it would say there for about 2 or 3 seconds and then automatically return to the upright position. If you shook the joystick back and forth, it with just rock the pod a little bit but stay upside down. Actually pre-1991 you could stay upside down, after 1991 they added logic to the ride where it would automatically flip right side up after a few seconds. You sure? I'm pretty sure this went down after '91.
  14. Great work! Looks really realistic!
  15. Not necessarily. If you put it upside down, it would say there for about 2 or 3 seconds and then automatically return to the upright position. If you shook the joystick back and forth, it with just rock the pod a little bit but stay upside down.
  16. Right now I think things are done in good taste. I mean, having John Nolan Ford sponsor the Tiques and having Gillette sponsor Top Gun pushes it a little, but I don't think that it has become a problem.... yet.
  17. I loved the Maestro at the beginning. I remember how, when I was younger, that the character looked so realistic while it was turned around playing the organ that I couldn't figure out if it was a real person or not. You guys probably recall how it didn't just stand there facing the organ, but it used to shift its back and look back and forth... brilliant, just brilliant....
  18. An Addams Family dark ride would definitely get my vote, the only problem is that I doubt the younger crowd has ever been exponsed to them.
  19. Yeah, you could. Also, I think I told you guys the story about how I got my older sister to go on it when I was about 6 or so. She hadn't be on any type of inversion at the time, so being the good kid I was, I talked her into getting on the FC with me. I flipped thing upside down and shook the joystick back and forth so it would stay that way... scared the crap out of her, but after that she wasn't afraid of anything.
  20. Although any dark ride we would get would be based off of a movie, I would really like to see a newer and revamped Phantom Theatre. In my humble opinion, PT was a great work of art and although SDATHC is a great interactive ride for kids, I think the price we paid for it was an atrocity.
  21. The Flight Commander had two people sit in a pod. One of which would win the fight and get to control the joystick between them. If you move the joystick up or down, the arm would move accordingly, left or right would cause a barrel roll. It was a great ride... will be missed.
  22. People will be less inclined to travel outside of the Cincinnati area for their summer vacations, so where do you think they'll go??
  23. Nah, the movie was just like a lot of other Paramount movies. It was loaded with numerous brilliant action scenes but lacked any real character development or plot. The ending was really bad too.
  24. 5 or 6 hours for FoF here.... it was back in 96 when it opened. The line began at the Zephyr and they used the metal fencing to create several queues in the base area in addition to all of the queues being open. The ride broke down several times during the wait.
  25. Where was this from? What does it mean? Rev. Chef That's all I can say because I don't want to say anything that I'm not sure about.
