If Paramount Parks let PKICentral make a DVD/VHS tape about the history of the park I would be more than happy to help out. Just a idea. Oh come on Vortex! You know that if we had the footage to do it, it would be on the very top of our "to do" list.

I've heard it's a sub-par venue from a lot of people.

Who's *****ing about getting a heavily theme ride or not getting a heavily themed ride? All that was said was that it looked out of place. Of course PKI will never get the caliber of attractions as the Florida parks, thats an unfair expectation. However, its the simple things like landscaping and other small details that can make the difference. Hell, even the Great Escape painted a nice facade on the visible side of the building that houses their indoor coaster. If Paramount is going to go the way of heavily theming rides and really just putting the guests in the middle of it all, I just want to see them do a good job and do it the right way. Italian Job is, without a doubt, the *best* thing Paramount has came up with. Honestly, its a fantastic attraction and its obvious that they have spent a lot of time with this one. Its definitely going to be a total blast and be extremely popular this summer. I certainly wish both Parks the best at getting these two new attractions up and running. Please, I'm not trying to bash PKI at all. I just want to see the Park be the best it can be. - Todd You also have to consider that what you're looking at IS a construction zone. Once the season starts, all of the mud and construction devices will be gone. Now, I would give anything to have the park look the way it did, but I still don't want that to take away from how amazing IJ should turn out.

Yea I remember, its the old olive drab. Like I said what a shame we didn’t all get together. We could have put a target; I mean a name to a face for a change...lol. Yeah, unfortunately there are about 20 or so members of PKIC that form a clique and we all know eachother. Sometimes we forget that there are other members there that don't know us. We should have at least said something about PKIC to break the ice.

Yeah, I saw that at the tour. The fence still curves in where the entrance was... bummer...

Well, the tour has come and gone and now all we have to look forward to is opening day now! then help me understand.... Well, we've been through this a million times, so I'll just give you a breif rundown. First of all, it's a part of history. It's been in the Cincy area for 70+ years, so I really don't need to give you a speal about its legacy. I've made a lot of good friends in line for the ride. I think a lot of people can relate to this. If it weren't for the eagles, I probably wouldn't have ever reallly known people like The-Snapper, Delirium_Guy, Coasterdime, Toad, Karen, etc... that list can go on forever. Not only was it a great ride, it was a staple of a lot of our friendships. Little known fact -- Dane met ZosoBeast in line for the Eagles, because of that, he asked him to join our Beastbuzz team, which eventually work into him being on our staff. Hell, I don't know if you guys have noticed or not, but he has brought a LOT to the table for you guys, and loosely due to the Eagles, PKIC, as the product that you are looking at today, wouldn't be as good. I guess the main thing is, everyone who says the people just need to let it go really didn't have the opportunity to join is in a Flyer-fest as a nightly event. Every night was a new experience, and every night topped the night before. I really couldn't ask for more in terms of a good time. In saying that "tourists" wouldn't understand, I didn't mean that as being insulting. I'm just saying that for most people, it was a great ride which was collectively part of a selection of great rides. Anyone who didn't go to the park a lot during the season could easily overlook what the ride stood for and meant to us. I mean, it didn't have to be a ride... just think back to when you were younger, or even to what you do now. Isn't there, or wasn't there a place where you and your clique of friends meet or met up every day? I mean, whether it's a Bisch-Rocco Flying Scooters or a statue in the middle of town, the collective spot has a special meaning, or staple, to you personally as well as your friends. You may or may not understand this, but because of all of these experiences, that ride, from the commonly fought over #2 tub to those past couple of feet of queue line that sparked your anticipation, was a sacred place to a lot of us that is now dead and gone.

That is now the stupidest thing i have ever heard. I know it will open sometime, thanks for the info. Yeah, like it or not, Matt's probably about as right as you can get when it comes to the opening of prototype attraction.

Like it or not themeing's themeing... hopefully it'll be done well so we can actually feel like we're in the old sitcom when we're there.

I'm actually feeling a shorter time because of it getting dark around 7. Quite possible. Then again, you never know what to expect in the crazy messed up world that is PKI.

If the tour is anything like the other, it'll last up to about 2 hours or so.

Usually they let you take the long way back to the front gate so you can see a little more of the park.

So you think they should have a strip with shops, restaurants, etc. that's only open to adults?

Our users are generally pretty good about not making garbage topics or making one-word-response posts. It's all a violation of our ToS, but ToS is really only as good as you guys respect it and we enforce it.

An evening tour is exactly what they need. Well, even if you can't make the tour, expect eighty bajillion pictures posted on here from it as usual.

We like to think that we rules these forums with an iron fist.

Of course we'll have an IJST video. We've been cooking up ideas since the announcement. You'll just have to wait and see.
