KI Man Visits Wet 'n Wild Australia!
I was hoping to see some of the fairer Aussies in thier two piece! Nice TR. It seems that you are having a good time down unda.

Drop Tower's Down Time
I did not notice anymore downtime than usual, but if there was, it would be understood. I'm sure considering the accident at SFKK, most parks (not only KI) were ultra sensitive to any type of issue/ alarm etc. concerning a drop ride, even though DT is unlike S:ToP.

Twin Section(Hotel breakers)
Breakers Express is decent, nothing more or less than a Econo Lodge or Micro-Tel. I would rather stay in the old section of Breakers, than at Breakers Express. BE traditionally is for families with younger kids, or kids that recently turned 18 that can now get a hotel room for their friends and sneak them in. It can be quite noisy at night.

Twin Section(Hotel breakers)
When I have stayed in that section, the difference in rooms varies a great deal. Most have a window A/C unit, but some do have the traditional wall unit. There is no elevator access. The room will be clean, but it is in a much older part of HB, so basically you a getting what you pay for. It's a room, with a bed, stand-up shower only, TV and AC. That's about it. You should also be real close with whoever you are staying with, these rooms did not have comfort or space in mind when they were designed. But in all honesty, if you are planning on being in the park open to close, it is hard to beat the deal. In May those rooms go for about $80. But their is no driving back and forth to your hotel off CP property. If you get a package deal, meals are discounted and you get a bunch of decent coupons (many for Challenge Park), and you get in the park early just because you are a guest at the park.

Martin's Fantasy Island To Get Tax Breaks, Two New Rides
Why is it that some politicians are so tunnel-visioned? Sure, a tax break of $74,000 seems like a good chunk of change for a business. But Chris Collins seems to not realize that FI paid $341,000 in property and sales tax last year. And that number does not include the amount of tourism money that the park brought in for area businesses. Almost 350,000 people visited the park in '07, and that number was up from '06. $74,000 is chump change to keep any park competitive.

Whats happening to EVERY ride at GL?
Clever? Maybe. Bad? No doubt!

Whats happening to EVERY ride at GL?
^ Now combine those with SoB and KI could be the first official park sponsored by Aleve. And KI could have ERT for those coasters and call it "HeadBangers Ball".

Where at KI would you get married?
From the humorous side of things: If you are going to do the big splash, it would have to be on Amazon Falls. If things have been rough, renew your vows on SoB. Getting cold feet? FoF would be the way to go. Not your first attempt at taking the vows? Do it again on AE. Expecting a competitive marrige? Let Racer decide who will make the decision. (Just leave it to the imagination of who will do it backwards .) Pain in the a$$ mother-in-law? Show her that you are dropping into her family on DT. With a smile of course (and the threat of her restraint becoming undone)! Are you a fat white guy with a super-model future wife? FOC makes the most sense. Getting married to a much older person? Take a trip on the Crypt. Ahhh. the list could go on and on....

Skyscraper at Cedar Point
Can you please explain how CP is spoiled. I didn't entirely mean it, but CP just gets cool stuff every year, and we don't get much cool stuff every year... The reason why CP does get upcharge rides like this in Challenge Park is due to Hotel Breakers and Sandcastle Suites being located on the point itself. Challenge Park is open later than the main park so those staying on park property will spend a couple extra bucks enjoying themselves. CP having a resort atmosphere is also the reason why they can get away with charging to get into Soak City.

PA Committee Approves Tourist Industry Relief Bill
This tax not only effected entertainment venues like Kennywood and CLP, but things like: our local hockey & baseball teams, orchestra, stage productions, comedy club etc. It's good to see that it might be done away with. This is a prime example of what the tax was doing to some businesses: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11606

You are not suggesting that KI should get Head Spin?

Skyscraper at Cedar Point
That looks to be the same type of ride as the one in Sacramento where you are not allowed to scream. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/04/04/...in2645583.shtml CP press release link added: http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/news/news.cfm

Racer
You make a number of assumptions. From that both will be running forward to that both will be open when you are in line. Keep in mind that if this change happens, it makes it MUCH easier for the park to only run one side on light days...and your line will then likely be close to twice as long as it would otherwise be. Assumptions seem to be running high these days. To both sides going forward... To only one side operating... To longer lines...

Potterland?
Many people would love to have the movies mirror the novels, but that is almost impossible unless fans and Warner Brothers were willing to give up many other things. Namely: - The movies would not be able to be released as quickly as they have been. - There is no way the last four movies would be under 4 hours each. Production companies want to keep most movies at a reasonable length under 3 hours. Sure there will be some exceptions, but those would be individual movies, not a series of movies like HP would be. - The main 3 characters (Harry, Ron, Hermione) would not be able to be played by their current actors for each movie. Even as it is today, it is difficult to imagine that those characters are only 15 by the way they act and look in the movies. Adult versions of Harry Potter? I'm sure that you realize that these books & movies are supposed to be for younger kids. Your "adult version" sounds like something you would pick up at 3:00am with a roll of ... Well you get the idea.

Yup. That's the best. Hands down. I did read on another site that someone believes that CF is going to change the name of Beast to Talon.
