  1. Similar to the cover of a book? You can't see what is in a book, but you can certainly see past the entrance sign to a ride and see what kind of ride it is or what kind of ride it is like.
  2. ^ You would be surprised on how many parks with "racing" coasters actually do not race often. But if CF continues the trend that they have done with Gemini, Racers will race more often than not. We probably should also wait to pass judgement until it actually happens. I'm just waiting to have someone mention that Kennywood's Racer always races so why can't KI's.
  3. There are many coasters that have been duplicated not only with their logos, but in design as well as name. Absolutely nothing unusual there.
  4. Sad story, yet rather similar to the issues between Teresa and Dale Earnhardt Jr. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/au...art-790888.html
  5. It would be nice to continue having the option of going both directions. We will just have to wait to see if the rumor is true.
  6. If CP stays true to their history, planning a ride removal leads way to a new ride. Since DD has been for sale for a few years now, there is a good chance that 2008 will be it's last year.
  7. More discussion: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5948 http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10736 http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9747
  8. This discussion go go many ways. Witch one though?

But if it was relocated, it had to be removed... Brown- who just had to!
  10. And until those decisions do start effecting the bottom line there will be no changes. There has been so many complaints about CF's decisions to shut down rides "when it starts sprinkling". But people need to remember that there was an accident at CP this past season due to wet brakes. Parks tend to have a knee-jerk reaction to things like this. Also, CP has a rather advanced weather system which is necessary due to how quickly storms pop up on Lake Erie (which many enthusiasts are not aware of). Perhaps there was lightning associated with the sprinkling, and those waiting in line for a ride would never know about that.
  11. Don't count on TGI Fridays going into IR. There are several reasons. Namely renovations to meet several standards as well as renovations to meet TGI Fridays standards. I also do not believe that a Fridays at KI would get enough foot traffic to warrent the costs invloved for the renovations as well as franchising fees.
  12. Maybe...But no other chain prides itself on safety as much as Cedar Fair does. Not to start a discussion that no one can prove. But something tells me that Busch, Herschend, Holiday World, etc... take just as much pride in being a safe environment as Cedar Fair and do it with less height restrictions. I have always been fasinated that a company can be criticized for being too safe. Too safe? Is there even such a thing?
  13. ^^^ That is exactly why most do not consider Screamscape reliable. Sure, communicate rumors. But they should also communicate once the rumor turns out to be fact or not. Kinda funny that there was great discussion on this board that mentions the same exact thing dealing with HH. Almost the same words in fact....
  14. Screamscape probably does have this right. Only because the information they have provided really is not exactly Earth-shattering.
  15. Teaser: http://www.niagarasfury.com/ If anyone is going to be traveling up this way to check out RFII at Waldameer, DL, Marineland (don't expect too much), or Kennywood, here is something else to do. I just hope that Niagara's Fury it is not something over-hyped that ends up rather boring.
  16. There are those who think they know 100%. Then, there are those that may know 100%, yet do not comment on the boards. So do you think that those who actually know will talk? Well simply put, if they like thier job they won't.

The Eiffel Tower in Vegas was supposed to be an exact replica, but the casino is located too close to the airport and they had to settle for a 1/2 scale model. Now if Intamin built that one, I am not sure. I can't seem to find the info for that one.
  18. Which are not always very busy compared to KI's one rather busy children's area.
  19. While that seems to be the common opinion among enthusiasts, if CF did not keep adding things, the opinions would not be about concrete but it would be about how they don't add enough to their parks. It is always easy to look for faults when you are the big kid on the block.
  20. And it should be noted that the larger the chain, the higher probability for incidents to occur.
  21. ^ Thrill Biscut's avatar come to mind...
  22. CP has always been good for the family. You need to check things again. CP has three different areas for kids rides. They also have a rather large assortment of family rides. More than most parks. In comparison: CP has 51 rides that are not coasters. KI has 34 rides that are not coasters. SFGAd has 48 rides that are not coasters.
