  1. You may want to read up on the 1600+ posts here: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11233 You will find numerous updates, pictures, speculation, and reasoning as to why the rumored coaster will go there.
  2. Well if some of your best memories come from standing in line together, then jumping in front of people that are in line really would not work either. But unless you go on a holiday, special event, or the weekend, the time apart while your family is in line and you are waiting at the exit should not be that long.
  3. That was exactly why I posted the link. The man is obviously talented. But in the two quoted posts, one had a CF signmaker with 8th grader skills, and another requirement being able to write so that others are able to comprehend his message.
  4. The first requirement for signmakers at Cedar Fair: * Must be able to punctuate properly and write in sentences easily understood by the average parkgoer. Or not. Intresting story on CP's signmaker: http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/...e0-94fd66678428 I would not think that this particular gentleman falls into the catagories mentioned
  5. In addition to what Interp mentioned: does SoB really need 3 trains? The wait is normally not that long. Sure, there will be somedays that it could be a wait of more than an hour. But for the most part, it is a rather quick line. I'm just not sure if CF will justify the cost of adding a train that is normally not needed.
  6. Hmmm... I wonder if Drew can even fit on MF or TTD.
  7. I can honestly say that I have only had a "bad" experience at a park on two different occaisions, and both times it was at KD. But what a person's opinion of what "bad" means varies a great deal.

  9. It's going to cost you more than another $10 to fill your gas tank not only for a vacation, but for everyday travel. And if the projections of $4.00/ gal holds true by late spring, that will easily be $10 more/ week. I mentioned that people not purchasing a season pass for 2008 due to no new ride was pathetic, but, not puchasing a season pass because it is just too expensive to go due to high gas prices makes much more sense. And in addition, food prices will again go up due to the high fuel prices.
  10. While the list states that CP is the biggest draw for the Sandusky area, there are many other things close to Sandusky that have nothing to do with the park, or any park for that matter. The Lake Erie Islands are a HUGE draw (Put-in-Bay being the main island draw) from Canada, Cleveland, Detroit as well as all the ports along the Detroit river, Lake St. Clair and Lake Huron. The fishing (walleye & perch) in the area is one of the best (if not the best) on the Great Lakes. There really is much more to do in the Sandusky area than the Mason area.
  11. If you knew the answer, why ask the question?
  12. Well its not really a rumor anymore. Has there been a press release from KI stating that both trains on Racer will be forward this year?
  13. ^ Does that mean you will not go to KI because there is a rumor that both trains on Racer will be going forward?
  14. Will you also be going to BGE?
  15. I'm not so sure that the age of the operator did not have anything to do with the accident. I'm not saying that her age was a direct result as to what happened, but her age could have been one piece of many things that failed. There is no doubt that the operator cannot control if a ride fails or not, so age makes no difference there. But as far as reaction time and knowledge of how the ride operates, I would rather see a 18 year old. http://www.whas11.com/topstories/stories/0...y.215957ed.html Yes, a 16 year old can drive. But a 16 year old cannot vote, or even (and this maybe bringing up a touchy subject) agree to have consensual sex without a parent's permission. There is a thin line there sepearting what a 16 year old can and can't do, Kentucky just made it a law.
  16. A trip to HRP is in my families' plan this year. I have always been very intrested in the early years of KI, especially the pics. Now I will be able to experience the same thing at HRP from it's opening year to (hopefully) 30 years from now.
  17. Let me see.. Oh ya, I remember this: Or is it ok to be a topic concenration camp, but not a corrections concentration camp? Just wondering...
  18. ^ Yeah. Too many "Kings" spoil the broth... Nope that's not right.
  19. Tell Uncle Wilbur to quit hitting the eggnog. Seriously though, why would a person that had close enough ties to the design/ construction knowingly allow an unsafe ride to operate? Talk about a weight on your shoulders....
  20. The can't film the future. They "leaped" into the future.
  21. ^ Thanks. I'm rather limited due to work computer.
  22. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/webcams/index.cfm Check out CP's webcams. If someone that knows how to take a snapshot of the Main Midway cam, please do. I cannot do it. In two of the cams, you cannot see a thing due to the ice that formed on the cameras due to the ice storm that those on the shores of Lake Erie have experienced over the past 24 hours. Also notice the cam that shows the skyride (Main Midway). There is a cable of some type that appears to have fallen or broken off due to the storm. And can someone find the "What's wrong with this picture" in the cams? It is rather funny.
  23. ^ Ruts in it's track? Exactly what track are you referring to?
  24. Sure, some logos would look out of place on some rides. But the logo that is on both Detonator and Mean Streak fits both rides.
