Star Wars by far, even with Jar-Jar. Those Kenner toys in the 80's were the best. I still have a Millenium Force, AT-AT, Death Star, Snow Speeder (my favorite), X-Wing... ah the list goes on....
Trekkies are just a bunch of freaks.
^ Yeah, that is quite possible.
Meijer's could have ended the deal because they could not justify selling the passes anymore.
Are they selling day passes?
Apparently, KI is depending more on walk-up sales and online sales.
Unless Meijer's was getting too big of a cut. I'm sure they were not selling passes for KI out of the goodness of their heart.
I'm thinking more long term, like how much money will this save the bus system over the next 30 years if done correctly.
Only 1/3 of Go Metro's revenue come from actual riders. The rest comes from local, state, and federal tax revenue.
^ Actually that is some pretty intresting information.
And in all reality, $2.6 billion is a ton of cash, but with today's gas prices combined with greenhouse gasses created from automoblie exhaust, it really is not all that much.
Paramount not only screwed up the return of WF, they originally cancelled it back in 1992.
What Paramount did in 2005, was a half-hearted attempt to bring it back. But they were only trying to show that it could do well to prospective buyers.
And they might have made some money as you mentioned, but probably not enough to justify the effort put into the event.
And you are probably corrrect in believing that the decision to close GL was made during the '07 season.
wow they're cheap
Parks are cheap because they reuse the same logos?
Are ya kidding me?
I would rather see any corporation use the same exact logo on their product, and spend their money on different things, or make things cheaper for me.
Do you actually think that GE, one of the largest corporations in the World, has a different logo for all of their different products? Absolutely not. You see the same GE logo on a light bulb or a locomotive.
