  1. Apparently the many you speak of are not the kids that watch Nick, the advertisers that pay Nickelodeon to promote their product, or those in upper management of Nickelodoen whose job it is to be sure they are airing shows & events that people would enjoy. Those many that share your opinion also seem to not include the patrons of the various stage & ice shows that feature Nickelodeon characters that sell out rather consistantly.
  2. That is more of an opinion than fact. Just because you do not enjoy it, does not mean others don't.
  3. Simple fact? Could you please back up that fact? I would like to see them.
  4. As mentioned earlier, stand-ups are a gimmick at best. Many people do not enjoy them and wait times can be terrible due to loading & unloading (which is the exact reason why CP has discontinued the use of Mantis' third train. These would be two of the bigger reasons that no new stand-ups have been made in just under 10 years.
  5. Quite honestly, I really dislike KD. If I was not already traveling through that part of Virginia to visit BGE and if I did not have a season pass, I would not go there.
  6. You may also want to mention that under Paramount there were 4 coasters called Top Gun, and there were a total of 5 drop rides called Drop Zone.
  7. I just hope the entertainment department can make up for the lack of the rides department. I really don't want to see Ice Stake Show 1. I'm not sure if understand what you are trying to get across. All the very bad new rides names. I just hope the shows have better names that's all. You should not classify the rides department as the reason for the naming of the rides. They had nothing to do with it. Actually, you cannot blame anyone at KI for the ride names. Those decisions were made at the corporate level.

  9. If warning CF to watch their backs as well as questioning why they are paying out a high yield instead of paying down thier debt and then a week later proclaim that that same high yield is rewarding his patience due to his healthier vision is not inconsistant, I must have no idea what inconsistent really means. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2...;q=inconsistent Sure, when it comes down to the market, things may not be black and white. But this guy is printing things that are polar opposites. How can he possibly be happy with the payout, but not agree with it? How can he claim CF will be bought out, but then claim to have patience due to his healthier vision and in the end still keep his money exactly where it has been? This is the reason that I mentioned Munarriz is letting his personal feelings of what happened to GL get in the way of what he is trying to accomplish.
  10. Back on February 7th, Munarriz wrote this: and this: Now just over a week later he says this: This guy really needs to make a decision and quit playing both sides of the fence. How he can claim that CF needs to watch their backs and a week later claim that he has a healthier vision than the rest, so he'll bide his time with the stock. Sorry but that is just plain ignorant.
  11. Sorry to say it, but if you will get lost in the park due to new names; you have bigger issues than just the new names.
  12. Ahhh, the consummate romantic. <G> Romantic and traditional. The wait until after the vows would be excruciating. Every Father of the Bride's dream. So yeah, I'll give him kudos for that one. And that the backseat is better than a photo booth.
  13. ^ Yeah Disney would be great. But perhaps if you lived in the Orlando area, or if you were renewing your vows. Only because, IMO, I would like to have as many family and friends attend (as well as my spouse's). If I were to have my "first big" wedding in Florida, perhaps only 20% (rough guess) of the invited guests would attend. And those that just could not get the time off, or don't have the money to travel could feel slighted because they could not attend. When I married 8 years ago, it was in Erie, and lucky (lucky? ) enough my wife was from $hitsburgh, so her family only had to travel about 2 hours to attend the wedding. We had 300 guests attend, and it was a fantastic time. Now if it was in Disney, I know most could not attend, nor could I expect them to. On top of that, I can only imagine how much it would cost for a 300 person wedding at Disney. YIKES! We did however spend 2 weeks at Disney (Port Orleans) for our honeymoon with side trips to BGA, SWO, IoA and US.
  14. Did everyone miss my or are you all just upset that it is Valentines Day? Take a joke people. Now those who seem to not under stand that, those are the ones that really need to get out more.
  15. I love KI as much as the next guy. But... That is really pushing obsession. If it was something more than just opening day (i.e. Operation of a new ride, start of something new etc.) I could understand that. But just opening day? Some people need to get out more...

  18. I was hoping to see some of the fairer Aussies in thier two piece! Nice TR. It seems that you are having a good time down unda.
  19. I did not notice anymore downtime than usual, but if there was, it would be understood. I'm sure considering the accident at SFKK, most parks (not only KI) were ultra sensitive to any type of issue/ alarm etc. concerning a drop ride, even though DT is unlike S:ToP.
  20. Breakers Express is decent, nothing more or less than a Econo Lodge or Micro-Tel. I would rather stay in the old section of Breakers, than at Breakers Express. BE traditionally is for families with younger kids, or kids that recently turned 18 that can now get a hotel room for their friends and sneak them in. It can be quite noisy at night.
  21. When I have stayed in that section, the difference in rooms varies a great deal. Most have a window A/C unit, but some do have the traditional wall unit. There is no elevator access. The room will be clean, but it is in a much older part of HB, so basically you a getting what you pay for. It's a room, with a bed, stand-up shower only, TV and AC. That's about it. You should also be real close with whoever you are staying with, these rooms did not have comfort or space in mind when they were designed. But in all honesty, if you are planning on being in the park open to close, it is hard to beat the deal. In May those rooms go for about $80. But their is no driving back and forth to your hotel off CP property. If you get a package deal, meals are discounted and you get a bunch of decent coupons (many for Challenge Park), and you get in the park early just because you are a guest at the park.
  22. Why is it that some politicians are so tunnel-visioned? Sure, a tax break of $74,000 seems like a good chunk of change for a business. But Chris Collins seems to not realize that FI paid $341,000 in property and sales tax last year. And that number does not include the amount of tourism money that the park brought in for area businesses. Almost 350,000 people visited the park in '07, and that number was up from '06. $74,000 is chump change to keep any park competitive.
  23. ^ Now combine those with SoB and KI could be the first official park sponsored by Aleve. And KI could have ERT for those coasters and call it "HeadBangers Ball".
