  1. I'm confused. When you go to another park that is not a movie theme park, or a former movie theme park, do you still get the same "cheaped-out feel"?
  2. Actually at this point, reality is not involved since it is just a rumor.
  3. http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html The passport requirement for land entry to the US has been pushed to the backburner again, or at least the 4th time. http://www.dhs.gov/xtrvlsec/crossingborders/index.shtm
  4. I am just talking about removing/ hindering scenery for a ride. Adding to the equation only complicates things.
  5. Kings Island 2008: Eat before you come!
  6. The American dollar is almost equal to the Canadian dollar now. The difference is a few pennies either way. 7 years ago $1 US = $1.54 Canadian.
  7. Before we pass judgement on CF's decision to add a coaster and remove scenery, we should probably let the coaster become reality first. And if they happen to add a coaster and take away from the scenery at KI, think back to 1989. CF added one of the better coasters of the last 20 years. And they just happened to stick the coaster directly on the beach of one of the largest fresh water lakes in the World. I have heard that this coaster is sinking. but I have never heard anyone say that the trade of the lake scenery for the ride was not worth it. I am also willing to bet that if BLSC was more like Maverick, many would not complain about where Paramount decided to located that coaster or that they took out scenery for the ride as well.
  8. Ring girls are great. But what on God's green Earth is with the pink and black laced leg thingies?
  9. The ride at CP you are referring to was called Vertigo, not Invertigo.

  11. That has to be one of the most disturbing articles that I have ever read. I just keep thinking, and it is rather selfish, what if the same accident happened to one of my daughters?
  12. So don't confirm anything, and don't use people's names. It seems like a rather easy solution.
  13. There have only been 39 suspended coasters. 10 of them from Arrow. Two of them actually came prior to Bat, but as expected, neither had the force of the current suspended coasters. http://www.rcdb.com/ir.htm?cls=277&des...e=1&order=6
  14. The weather here on the shores of Lake Erie have been rather violent the past 14 hours. When I was going to work last night at 10:30pm the temperature was 52. At 3:30am this morning it was 17 with wind guests up to 70 mph. A local church had a cross come off of it's high steeple and crash through it's roof into the main church area this morning. And 4 boats (42' sailboat, 34' sailboat, 35' powerboat and a 28' powerboat) were knocked over at my yacht club. Both masts for the sailboats were destroyed. Erie Bay (Presque Isle where Waldameer is located), where my club is located, rose 4' in 30 minutes due to the high winds. Needless to say, it has been rather crazy here.
  15. ^ Yeah, you are probably correct. Only a loser enthusiast would think about hacking a website just to change the name of a ride. Afterburner is a decent name. But "The All American Coaster"? I am having a hard time associating the two. "All American Coaster" sounds like that reject from the movie "Sky High".
  16. This is probably the best video that I have ever seen of The Bat. http://youtube.com/watch?v=dlaJn6c7WXg
  17. Entertainment in 2007 was much improved over the last 5 years, so why would it take a step backwards in '08? And why do ride names mean anything? The rides will still give the same enjoyment that they have always given.
  18. It can easily be done in two days. But as with any park, avoid it on the weekends an early in the season. The lines at CW can get pretty crazy. I can imagine the line for Behemoth easily being 6+ hours, and that would be without breakdowns.
  19. Wasn't this issue resolved at no coaster con when KI officials said that there will not be new trains on The Beast this year? EDIT- This is the exact reason why ScreamScape is considered an unreliable site. While they post all the rumors imagineable, they do not retract them when the rumors are proven false.
  20. TTD was built for both record breaking speed as well as record breaking height. CP's obsession with a record breaking speed can be seen with the large sign at the end of the launch signaling how fast the prior train was going.
