  1. The Bengals shirt is a disappointment compared to the fanny pack.... EDIT- just in case there is a sequal: http://www.zazzle.com/fanny+pack+tshirts
  2. Why do you hope it is permanent?
  3. First, it is not an arguement, but a healthy discussion. Second, read some of the FB comments, and you will understand what I am referring to: Some of my favorites: There are MANY more, as well as many from supporters & feedback from Kennywood PR. Those opposed are not even considering what the PR rep is saying as valid. There will absolutely be more security, as there probably should have been more for some time. More security is a plus for everyone. I cannot possibly predict there will be no issues, but given there have been limited issues at Kennywood to this point (if a drunk wants to drink, they will get their "fix" even if beer is not being sold) especially after they had a trial run last year, and there are few issues at other parks (and even parks where a brewery is across the parking lot & the park is named after said beer), I cannot see how all these terrible predictions will now come true.
  4. ^^Do you believe Kennywood selling beer will change the atmosphere of the neighborhood or people from the neighborhood will now go to Kennywood because of beer sales?
  5. Yeah. It is too bad some refuse to have an open mind are unwilling to accept change to the point they shove an opinion down others' throats by making threats. If it wasn't alcohol keeping them home, they would threaten to stay home for some other reason. It is amazing how when those want to see something negative, they actually look for it until it can be seen. Just because alcohol is beIng sold, does not mean Kennywood will have a rash of drunken idiots roaming the park. Just because "A" happened does not mean it will cause "B" to happen.
  6. People crying on FB? Noooooo....... Things change. Times change. Some really need to get over themselves and understand this is a business decision. There is nothing wrong with having the option of kicking back with a cold brew while the kids are off having fun. Credit should be given for the decision to not sell beer on school picnic days.
  7. All this talk of maps made me remember on of my favorite shows: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8zBC2dvERM You can actually change some of the dialogue and insert "SoB" & "fanboy" in certain spots....
  8. SoB now has a topic discussing a topic. If this does not prove that SoB is the Zombie topic of all time, nothing will.
  9. I couldn't find that page to save my life..... Nice job!
  10. You would be surprised, dare I say shocked, on how fast SoB could be up and running. I have mentioned this in the past (how could you miss it in 53 pages???? ) a local wood coaster (with the ENTIRE park) sat for a number of years literally untouched. This coaster is MUCH, MUCH older than SoB and was up and running within a couple months with donated money (less than $70,000 if memory serves) and still operates today. The biggest issue at start-up; finding a motor for the lift. http://www.rcdb.com/249.htm
  11. If Beast has given the 3rd most rides in KI history (I safely assume Racer is #1) what is # 2? KI&MVRR???
  12. And if you don't want your face, on anything, don't leave the confines of your home. Cameras are everywhere. Deal with it, or become a hermit.
  13. Now that I have your attention : http://newsok.com/ok...article/3665878
  14. Tube Slide??? I can't stop laughing.......
  15. http://www.wivb.com/...or-improvements If anyone has plans to hit: Canada's Wonderland, Darian Lake, or going to see Nik Wallenda tight rope over Niagara Falls this summer (http://imaxniagara.c...ement-expected/), much needed work is on the way to the American side. For those who have never been to the Falls or questioning to do it; take the couple hours & Just Do It. The power & views are breathtaking.
  16. *here comes the flaming* Who needs thrills, or even rides, when you have theming??
  17. I understand rides like KCKC were challenging from the maintenance side, so they cannot last forever. It is just missing it would taste better if it was removed for a better rider than TR/ Crypt (i.e. WWL for Maverick @ CP).
  18. You will find positives & negatives in all 3 parks. My family has found the better experience @ Kalahari.

  20. ^ Thinking back to early this morning..... Disney does most, if not all, refurbs during the hot summer months, so this should not come as a big shock. And even if I would have known about it, our plans would not have changed. Oh well, one ride will not make or break our trip.
  21. ^ Let me get this straight.... He makes a humorous video, poking fun at himself & a group of people at a well known amusement park. Allows the same park to use his likeness & video as a promotion Then gets all serious and threatens to bring litigation against an enthusiast site (that makes little money, if any), that promotes the same park that literally advertised him, over an avatar? Wow.....
