The Crypt: Gone for 2012!
No matter how it will be spun, keep the saying in mind: Those that know, don't talk. Those that talk, don't know.

The Crypt: Gone for 2012!
After the Dollywood lawsuit, and now the decision on Crypt, Huss's reputation certainly took a hit this off season.

The Crypt: Gone for 2012!
But much of it was fought behind an iron curtain. And when the Berlin Wall came down, there was celebration in the streets. The similarites are endless....

The Crypt: Gone for 2012!
Looking at it from the midway, it will obviously be a closed Casket ceremony.......

Was the "Cold War" celebrated?

The Crypt: Gone for 2012!
SoB should be celebrated? Really?? (I will forgo the "10 year" status of SoB as SBNO for over half, give or take, the life of the ride is up for much debate)

Teen girl with no hands turned away at Universal/SeaWorld
^You don't believe the Sea World attorney will bring up a possible emergency situation? More info: http://seaworldparks...bilityGuide.pdf http://seaworldparks...ns/Rides/Kraken

The Crypt: Gone for 2012!
Don't be fooled; just because it has not been made public does not mean a decision has not been made.

The Crypt: Gone for 2012!
It was bad in the beginning, and was bad on the end. Yet, this proves not everything ends badly.

Teen girl with no hands turned away at Universal/SeaWorld
^ That brings up a good question. Does B & M offer a design/ restraint that those without hands can enjoy? Or did Sea World take the "cheap" (I'm sure the suing attorney will spin it this way) way out? Let's not forget that it probably is not necessarily a "holding the restraint" issue, but a "if you can grasp the restraint effectively and buckle yourself in, you can hold onto evacuation stairs effectively" issue.

HUSS Lawsuit
That is too broad of a statement. While Intamin has had numerous issues, I cannot remember an Intamin coaster that actually doesn't work like Timber Tower.

Teen girl with no hands turned away at Universal/SeaWorld
^ This would change the face of everything. Can she paddle a canoe? Can she use ski poles? Can she zip line? Can she hitch-hike? Can she use foam fingers? Can she make a snowball? Can she mountain climb? Can she fish using an actual pole? My ultimate (and serious) question: can she drive a car? This will ultimately get dismissed because the park did not say she could not enjoy the whole park, just one particular ride. There is a big difference between the two. Due to financial constraints, the is NO WAY all park/ ride manufacturer can accomodate every disability. I have issues with this type of lawsuit. While I feel for her, she is (in a round about way) saying: "Since I cannot ride, nobody can."

^ I get that. A family that is willing to blatently lie, would be looking for some type of payoff. Her parents are not suing the park.

Teen girl with no hands turned away at Universal/SeaWorld
I really cannot believe her parents would blatently lie about a subject and then go on camera about it. They appear to be too caring for that.

GREAT AMERICA STADIUM DEAL!
^ Richfield Colusium located between Cleveland & Akron. What a PAIN! Ralph Wilson Stadium to Buffalo is just under 20 miles. Arrowhead Stadium to Kansas City is 8 miles. Gillette Stadium to Boston is 20 miles (you would be surprised how many people ask where the city of "New England" is at for the Patriots) Reliant Stadium to Houston is 9 miles. Etc. Etc......

^ Due to the business I am in, I cannot agree. When it comes to safety, just because something happened once does not mean it will always repeat. (Assumption is the mother of all screwups) It also does not mean since a mistake was made the first time, the same mistake will be allowed to continue to happen. As stated in the article, she was not allowed on a ride at another park- so the situation is not new to her or her family. Given her unfortunate (and unique) situation, she needs take the less embarrassing path (it was stated the feeling was an issue) and be sure (until the park/ ride ops know her) to always inquire.

GREAT AMERICA STADIUM DEAL!
Anyone remember Al Davis & Irwindale? They would have stayed the L.A. Raiders. Not to mention, much of the allure of the NFL (including apparel) is focused on marketing. Imagine trying to sell: seats, apparel, TV contracts, and selling the name Santa Clara (from San Francisco) as being the same product. Good luck with that project!

If parks were qualified to make safety decisions for coasters, they would also be qualified to build them. Anyone remember the last time KI used their own resources to build a coaster?

Kings Island Skyline Panorama
Reading the title of the topic (obviously not thinking), I asked myself: "Why would anyone care about a panorama pic of KI's Skyline? They must really love chili!"

Teen girl with no hands turned away at Universal/SeaWorld
I believe she was not allowed on for more than not being able to hold the restraints. What the article does not say is if she was able to buckle herself in/ pull the restraint w/o assistance or if she would be able to remove herself from the buckle/ restraints in a reasonable amount of time. She also may not be able to effectively hold railings if an evac were to be performed. I have seen guests of exceptional size (at CP & KI) be asked to leave a ride due to not being able to buckle themselves in even though after enough struggle (or assistance) they would be able to engage buckle/ restraint. I also am surprised the article does not mention if she is capable of driving a car. Given she is 17, the question/ issue had to of come up by now.

Teen girl with no hands turned away at Universal/SeaWorld
I sympathize with the girl, and feel terrible that there are things I can do that she cannot. I also praise her determination to lead a life like everyone else, she can influence many people that have disablities. That said..... I cannot play football, I do not have the physical talents to do it. Should I sue the NFL for discrimination? I cannot dunk a basketball, I do not have the physical talents to do it. Should I petition the NBA & NCAA to lower the hoop heights? I cannot perform open heart surgery. I so not have the mental skill to do it. I have no idea who to complain to.... Extreme cases? They sure are. Just like she has an unfortunate extreme case. If parks/ coaster designers had to cater with every unfortunate case like this, we would never be able to enjoy an amusement park again. Many in today's society are WAY too sensitive. It has become acceptable to hand out trophies & praise for a 6th place finish. This type of action had great intentions, but has resulted in an entitlement attitude by many. Praise should not be given for a 6th place finish, just like coasters cannot be designed for every person.
