No, but The Bat had like the exact same floorless cars as vampire. Tis what I thought! Thanks! Bat & TG did not have those cars. http://www.KICentral...?album=1&pos=40 As you can see in that pic, the brakes were located under the car (thus floorless could not be accomplished). The brake placement, along with a number of other issues, led to Bat's demise.

At one time, those rides had full queues. Anymore, full queues on those rides only happen on very busy weekends. It is simple supply and demand. Busier rides will get extra treatment on the non-essentials.
-
In a nutshell: if the ride was sinking, the rails would be cracking at the weld due to the pressure of the sinking footers. The "sinking footers" only appear the way. Normal erosion will move dirt (which ends up to be grass) to different sides of the footer (anyone that has done maintenance on home landscaping has seen this).

cedar point rumor

Getting rid of Paddlewheel Excursions would be an epic failure along the same lines as removing Raptor. Is it possible? Sure, anything is possible- which is why I continue to play PowerBall. -
So beaches, pool parties, water parks, and most especially- indoor water resorts are not for families anymore?

I was thinking the same thing especially since many Arrow coasters using like parts (chains, lifts, wheels etc. may be swapped out between Vortex & AE or even CS & Magnum @ CP) Or perhaps the parts are not on hand because they were recently replaced prior to the park opening.

That is nice, but what question are you answering? Aside from that, there are numerous other costs the park has (i.e. Maintenance personel that- I am guessing- make about $25/ hr.) I only came up with basics for the lockers. Each revenue entity has to have $X.xx earned to be deemed worthwhile (profitable). Did they get a discount? How did you know how much those lockers cost before I came up with a potential supply cost? I am intrested in the numbers you came up with. What about their pass? Leave it with a non-rider. Enter the park & bring it back to the car. Keep the pass in a velcroed pocket. These are not difficult solutions/ ideas to save some money. People need to think outside the box (along with plan ahead) to save a buck. If they don't, costly services like locker rental, will only increase in price. It is simple supply and demand. People also have to stop making excuses of why they have to spend money, and stop complaining when they make the choice to do so. Many people, including myself. I go to BB early and leave when it gets busy to have lunch at the car. If I feel the need to bring a credit card & ID, my swim trunks have deep velcro pockets. I also use these same shorts on rides as well & never has an item come up missing. What about a towel? I have only read about people's bags being stolen. Has there also been a number of towels stolen too? How creepy! Actually people have designed themselves to have unneccessary items with them at all times that end up requiring a locker. It is not a waterpark's reponsibility to let people know they can live without their phone, camera, or credit card for a few hours. -
They must have missed the "Terms & times subject to change". Not to mention, even if KI "lied" and they wanted their money back, all they wanted was the ERT for Beast & DB and not a season pass. Perhaps KI should just offer a season long ERT for $100 and when the park opens and those guests that only want ERT can enjoy the day somewhere else.

This is a general opinion, including the park and many other things in life There are many rules for many things. Many of those rules are broken every minute of every day. Jaywalking is a crime. So is littering. If police concentrated on those crimes instead of patrolling high violent areas- their talents are being wasted. Those in rule enforcement do have to pick and choose which fights are worth fighting due to time constraints. There are never enough rule enforcement officers for every rulebreaker. That said, is it those in rule enforement that are not doing their jobs that is the real issue, or do people just not care enough to actually follow the rules? Perception also plays a big role in discussions like this. One person may perceive the rule to allow bikini tops/ short shirts in the park, another does not. I have only seen a small handful of guests not following the dress code, and it has only been near the water rides or train areas. As KI enthusiasts we know the rules rather well. If we believe other guests know the rules like we do, we are only fooling ourselves.

Also in the absurd catagory is the actual cost to purchase those lockers: http://securacoinloc.../coin-sizes.php Wow, that IS expensive! But I'd say easily made up for! $646 for a set of twelves works out to be just over $107 per compartment. After renting it out 11 times, it's paid for. KI is making good money off of lockers! :/ Yes, a 6 compartment does cost $646, which is almost $108/ compartment. The installation is not free, nor is the shipping. There is also imcome tax involved the park has to pay for each rented locker. Now add in the maintenance costs for not only normal wear & tear, but for repair, replacement & for the buffoons that purposely destroy park property. Also add in the space needed for the lockers themselves & employees to staff the lockers for guests that cannot operate them & others that have lost their keys along with insurance for the lockers themselves. I'm sure the park is making money on the lockers (let's not kid ourselves- the park's #1 priority is safety, followed very closely by making money), but it is not as much as you think. Like food, drink, or a cell phone, renting a locker is a perk if you choose to use it. Guests do not have to bring in phones, or other valuable items that almost require a locker. Those items can be left in a car, a non-rider or at home/ hotel. -

^That brings up an intresting question. Would an unsecure/ unsupervised fanny pack get stolen in BB? Anyone want to do an experiment with me? I can see the report now: (DISCLAIMER: If you get easily upset over enthusiast humor, or take things too seriously, DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING) "So sir, you left your fanny pack unsupervised in BB?" Browntggrr- "Yes I did. My Home Equity Loan did not go through to afford a locker." "Did you see anything suspicious." "Well I did see this one person, I could not tell if it was male or female- so I will just call it Pat- when I took my pack off Pat looked to be wearing a wearing a Speedo banana hammock and a t-shirt that had a "I was present for The Beast award October 2nd, 2004" writing on it. "What made them suspicious?" "Well, anyone wearing a Speedo outside a school gym swim meet or the Olympics stands out. This person had a weird look in their eye- kind of the look you see in a mall on a handful of people during a Pokemon & Beanie Baby convention, and a drippy brown smudge on their chin." "Ok sir, we have a good description, we will get back to you soon. KI is sorry for your trouble, so please take this $5.00 off coupon and enjoy a nice lunch." "Geez. Thanks. But you did hear that my Home Equity Loan did not go through, right?" -
Oh yeah. I did the same thing. Once.

No. The Beast station (and a large portion of the queue) was above a lake at one time. The lake was removed due to: guests using it as a garbage can, the amount of bugs the virtually stagnant water produced, and the smell the water produced. There is a picture somewhere around here... Edit- Found it: http://www.KICentral...?album=1&pos=55

It operated for many years, and the mist was quite refreshing when waiting for the front half of the train. Unfortunately, it was an innocent victim when Beast lake was removed.

There is nothing wrong with voicing an opinion. This is a message board and voicing an opinion is what keeps it intresting. However, regurgitating the same opinion, over, and over, and over, and over- in multiple threads- and then when the park does not make immediate changes to satisfy those with the opinion, and the same people keep voicing a negative opinion on the park's decisions by making threats (i.e.: I'm not going to the park anymore, I am not going to ride that ride because it's not fun or exciting enough for me, the park is being ruined because of Vortex & WS ERT etc.), over, and over, does not help the discussion(s). I am in no way innocent of whining when it comes to certain park decisions: (Whining- To utter a plaintive, high-pitched, protracted sound, as in pain, fear, supplication, or complaint. 2. To complain or protest in a childish fashion. ...). The difference is I will not make threats like a small handful of people have done. I have enjoyed KI for over 3 decades now & something as minor as ERT rides will not change my overall opinion of the park. Perhaps my perception of why members here voice an opinion (I was under the assumption they enjoyed the park as much or more than myself) is incorrect.

WS is still new. You have to crawl before you walk. Anyone that believes anything different is simply Comparing KI's ERT to CP's is apples and oranges. CP has 6 resorts to KI's zero- it is obvious a great many more (given the 1000+ rooms) are lining up at CP for ERT. Also, the example of reducing CP's ERT rides from 5 to 2 would cause issues. Where would it not? KI has not reduced the amount of ERT rides available; so the example is, at best, tainted. KI is there for the majority, not the minority (an excellent example of this is the dislike for a "glorified kiddie coaster" and an "24 year old Vortex). Most people want an extra opportunity to enjoy the new ride (at any park) thus the ERT decision months ago. If WS is not available, another ride in that zone is chosen. This is not a difficult decision to grasp. I happen to enjoy KI for almost everything it offers. I suggest to others that only want 2 rides for ERT that normally have minimal waits to remove the tunnel vision attitude & expand your KI horizons.
-
It's a new ride. And when it is down, another ride takes it's place. Do you expect perfection? The ERT for CP is apples and oranges compared to KI. CP has 5 different resorts, KI has none. Your example is even more tainted. Yes, people would be upset if ERT was reduced from 5 rides to two rides at CP, but that has not happened, as KI was never reduced in ride ERT count either. And yes, it is whining. This decision was not made just yesterday. It's about time one of two things happen for those who whine about it: 1) Deal with it. KI was a great park before ERT was even offered, as it is a great park w/o the rides you want offered. -or- 2) Go somewhere else.
