  1. Here. Walked past it every day going in and out of the park. Credit: Google Maps.
  2. I think you are going to see a move into more and more E-Queuing over the next 5-10 years. Disney and Universal are heavily investing in it. It keeps people on the midways and is thought to increase per-cap spending. That being said, I don't see that happening. I think the best you will see is some sun shielding and fans in the queue.
  3. I don't ever remember cameras on Invertigo. Even when it was still Face Off. I probably just never noticed. I'm pretty sure the photo booth was in a trailer. The photo was inbetween the loop and the boomerang IIRC.
  4. Congratulations are in order to Tony. I worked for him for many years and he is one of the hardest working individuals I've ever met. Him and I didn't always see eye to eye, but I look for WoF to turn a new foot with him at the helm. He expects a lot of his employees and he will do well there.
  5. The problem with flat rides is they are usually not very good for capacity. But I do think we could use a couple more.
  6. I think there will be a no loose article policy. It's becoming an industry trend and with it crossing two other rides, I don't see them wanting to take the risk. Plus as mentioned before, it can slow down capacity. With this thing running 3 trains, and not having a MCBR, they are going to want to get the trains out ASAP.
  7. With as popular as Kings Island's childrens areas have been, it's no wonder it was removed. I remember the capacity averaging somewhere in the 200s per hour from when I was in Rides at KI. That isn't going to get it done.
  8. Just in time for the season! Err, wait. This whole construction project has been a total mess for my commute to work. I can't wait for them to get the bridge on Socialville Foster open. It takes me 15 minutes to get onto I-71 when it used to take me about 5.
  9. I work on Innovation Way. I think I can see it from one of the windows, but I can't go into the office that has the only view without a tree through it, otherwise I would take a picture.
  10. The theme had nothing to do with the removal of the ride. It was a maintenance nightmare, suffered frequent breakdowns and the capacity was reduced in order to help with maintenance. There was nothing saving that ride.
  11. The only problem is that there is a huge bottle neck going into X Base. It would require some serious relocation of maintenance resources for them to expand and create another entrance/egress that doesn't require a crossing guard for vehicle traffic.
  12. Wow. That's pretty awesome. Kudos to the park for getting another great local chain in house.
  13. I think anyone who is expecting any sort of drop track or shaking track in the shed is going to be upset. All things like that do is increase the risk of downtime. It will likely be some sort of video wall inside the shed.
  14. Launch Pad was the park's Eurobungy trampoline ride. It was an upcharge attraction.
  15. You need to chill out. This thing is going to take months to build, they have a plan and barring any rough weather, they will meet that schedule.
  16. If you go on a Friday Night, it's not really worth it. I've gone the last 4 or 5 years on Friday night and have done all the Haunts + rides easily. If you go on a Saturday night it's definitely worth it. Haunt Saturdays are some of the busiest days the park will have all year long.
  17. Until attendance decreases big time, they won't have a need to change most of the mazes. They will retire one or two and add one or two every year.
  18. The Joker "coasters" look pretty cool, but the capacity looks horrendous. 720 per hour probably maximum. Never would work at KI.
  19. I nominate Beast Gal and Young Stud.
  20. Hopefully they considered that when they designed the Haunt for higher throughput.
  21. I actually believe it is a new haunt behind DA.
  22. Any holiday weekend is generally busier. The dollar days boosts that crowd a lot.
  23. Friday nights are GENERALLY somewhat quiet, lines are average. Tends to be more of a rowdy crowd, but the Halloween attraction lines tend to be pretty long. Saturdays are generally some of the most attended days of the year, I would stay away. Sundays there are no haunted attractions open and tends to be more family friendly. Regardless of what day you go, there aren't too many roaming actors walking around these days.
  24. If they are already severely behind, they started too late. Barring a really rough winter, I see no reason they won't finish on time.
  25. Highly doubtful. If any coasters runs I would think it would be Flight of Fear and that's very unlikely.
