maXair has a different ride cycle( I believe) and the view is so much better. I have to disagree about Steel Venom being better than Wicked Twister. The holding break is unreliable and does not work all the time. As for Kingda Ka, I take Dragster, because the lapbar is less restrictive and TTD is more reliable.

I'm so sick of you fan boys. A person got injured, you don't know the extent of his or her injury, in fact KI should pay for their hospital bills if not more. If this some how does not make it to court, then they will get an out of court settlement. Put yourself in their shoes.

Kentucky Kingdom Troubles?
teenageninja replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I'm pretty sure there are some other SF parks doing this, and it's atleast half way through the season, it's just an extra boost. Every time i've been to SFKK, it's been fairly busy even on weekdays. -
Me and so many others want King Cobra back!
teenageninja replied to beastrider5334's topic in Kings Island
Delirium OWNS King Cobra, KC was a great ride, but Delirium is a better ride. KC is probably not going to operate, the steel is probably weak and rusted after sitting in that field for like 3 years. -
Son of Beast Could Be Closed A Month
teenageninja replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
Personally, I didn't even think the ride would make it past this season with the Cedar Fair purchase. I don't see it reopening, I see it being torn down over the off season, and landwork starting mid-season for a new coaster in the same spot. -
Signed, Sealed, and Delivered!

I think that a lot of the infrastructure will be kept on the departmental level, like eco/merch/rides, but above that I think it will be stripped, that's just what I think though. I think that CF is a welcome addition, and I've noticed subtle changes around the park (Coney Mall's soundtrack). -
Yes they are let off to the left side of The Racers back in the woods, a great place to view them if you don't want to view the tower is right in front of the Dodgems.

KI Fifth Most Popular Cinci Attraction?
teenageninja replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
Here's my take... A lot of people don't like Kings Island, because of the crowds the cost and such. I know this is a shock to many of you, but it's the truth. The aquarium and zoo are much more appetizing to families with young children, because they can all enjoy everything together, not to mention that children love animals. Newport on the Levee offers a lot for people of every age, they have the movies and some restraunts that appeal to all ages, the mall that appeals to teenagers and young adults, and the bars that appeal to the older crowd, two major colleges. I can easily see why Newport on the Levee is on top. -
Yeah I'm pretty sure that the belt is attached to the notch between your legs, and attaches to the bar.

Anyone ever rode Top Thrill Dragster?
teenageninja replied to cincyboy0830's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Not the best ride at the Point, but it is pretty amazing, I think it's amazing in the front, but don't do the front at night, unless you like bugs all over your body. -
Columbus Zoo buys Wyandot Lake!

Just another thing Six Flags didn't need, that probably brought in next to no revenue. -
Actually Pepsi just bottles Dr. Pepper, it's in it's own company I believe.

They were giving out Batman and Superman's at the game's at KI last year, doesn't really have anything to do with liscenses.

Number 1 someone said something about goodbye to shows and extra events. -Cedar Point has great shows, including ice shows and great concert shows. -Cedar Point has a version of FearFest -If Cedar Point is smart, if Winterfest made a decent profit keep it around, if not ditch it, this is a money making venture, not a guest pleasing venture.

Nothing but good news in my eyes. I could see them splitting the water park off possibly, especially since ours is a little bigger than CPs, but they'll probably do a ride and slide deal (where you can park hop between the two), and about the passes, yeah you'll probably have to pay a little extra to go between Cedar Point and Geagua Lake, but you'll save money on going up there now as well. I also think that while KI will stay more of a theme park/family park, they will be adding that big ride we need, if KI hadn't had it planned for next year already. Thank you Cedar Fair.

School sends kids to closed amusement park

The date of June 6, 2006 is 6/6/06, the sign of The Beast. -
I don't. The electricity for launch coasters are expensive, especially LIM/LSM launched coasters, which they have 3 of with FoF. I'm not sure if they are retheming or moving it. Don't be suprised if they do though.
-
If it goes it better be replaced with an amazing coaster, it's a tough ride to beat.
-
They wouldn't have to change anything in the ride chamber, in all honestly I think they would just have to change the movie in pre-show. Think about it, PKI bought all the props and half the people don't even know they are from the movie.

Wow sounds almost identical to last year.

Another PKIC Exclusive: One Last Look!
teenageninja replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I like the cars themselves but the building it self is bland, I would have made the awning around it rounded or elliptical, I think it would have looked a lot neater, however I think it's looking great and I'm looking forward to visiting to see it. I believe it will be done by opening day for sure. -

If it were only temporary it'd be a good place, think of all the money they'd save because of land preporation. -
Well first they have people come in to their ride, then they train them it's not that hard. I don't think they had a dry run last year either if I remember correctly or the year before that.
-
This is where the problem lies. July 4th wasn't too bad until late afternoon if I remember right and that's when it picked up big time, it was really packed at the end of the night.

It's 7 dollars more, still a great deal if you ask me.
