  1. I don't see any reason to double quote yourself we read it the first time. KI's employees are trained among the best in the country, trust me I know. If the employees here can run Slingshot, Eurobungee and Skyflyer (which are difficult rides, but can be learned fast) I'm sure they can run a coaster, I've been on it and when I watched the crew it did not seem difficult. The crew will be trained, and I guarentee the capacity will be better here than it was there. Please do not quote your previous statement again, I've seen it twice already /end rant.
  2. Hmmm, not the real decision is if I want to go back and make less than minimum wage, or work somewhere else and have a lot less fun. Hmmm. P.S. The job fair happens every year so i have no idea why it is a bad idea.
  3. I'm almost willing to guarentee there will be some sort of a shuttle leaving every 15-20 minutes.
  4. I have a source that tells me that Kings Island will open on April 21st. I've also heard that in 2000 Son of Beast will be built as the worlds tallest, fastest, and only looping wooden roller coaster.
  5. We were actually supposed to get what is now known as X-Flight. It was slated to go where Delirium now stands, but after they saw a finished Stealth at PGA they were not happy and it was nixed, that is why Geauga Lake and Six Flags America both got Flying Dutchmans, becuase they were parks close to the Paramount Parks that were supposed to get them.
  6. The writer of that must have been an OSU fan, because Ohio is listed first and Michigan is listed last. The way it should be.
  7. Every posts of his that I read, I just think of a Borat. Hi-five!
  8. More than likely nothing. There would be three other wheels of it's type (running, guide, or upstop) for that car, I dont' think it would be much of an issue.
  9. I'm eating a lot of crow right now. I can not believe they are removing the loop. They better add something inbetween the brake run and the second helix.
  10. I will almost guarentee that they will not remove Son of Beast's loop. The only way I could see this happening is if GCII or whomever is redoing the ride said there was no way that they would do that. Not to mention they would have to shift the angle the drop takes to meet the track in the right spot. If they do remove it, they better add an airtime hill in there somewhere.
  11. Good idea in theory, however if you look at things from an outside view, you have to take notice that most people want to travel during the summer. Florida is not a whole lot colder in the winter, but it is just enough to make the difference. How about people visiting the outer banks of North Carolina. You'll notice the ocean water is much colder. It really doesn't matter to me, I go to UC and I am basically on a year round schedule with class and co-ops.
  12. Actually Kings Island has it's own zip code, and it is considered Kings Island, Ohio.
  13. I would almost bet that is where the campground is going. It's a very viable option.
  14. Our very own DeliriumDreamer was featured in the episode, as well as a good friend of mine, Martin from Racer. If you only want to see the Kings Island part, turn on the last 10 minutes.
  15. Are you insane? The night I went to FearFest was PACKED. How many people do you know that want to go stand outside in the cold rain? Most people will just go another night. FearFest has been a consistent draw every year, and this year I felt that it's the closest quality wise to the first year. Why would KI keep FearFest open any more weekends, the park is traditionally rented out by private companies every September, and Halloween is the 31st of October, which I remember was a few days ago. So what if they cut the last operating weekend? They felt it didn't make money (which I remember the last few years they gave out THOUSANDS of free tickets. KI doesn't need to stay open, they make enough money as it is.
  16. I really doubt adding a giga coaster to PKI would harm CP too much, if anything it would help boost season pass sales. People go to CP for "America's Roller Coast", not just Millenium Force.
  17. I'm going on Sept. 20th more than likely, but I probably won't be doing too many of the haunts unfortunatly, my girlfriend and her friend are coming down from their college to visit, and I think they want to do more rides than anything, oh well the tickets are free anyways.
  18. They aren't trying to ruin the experience, they are trying to get the most people through as possible. You complain that they are trying to hard to get people through, however, you'd be complaining if the line was longer than it already is. That's the problem with a haunted trail, the lines tend to get very very long.
  19. I can attest that the floor on Vortex does get very slippery, I fell in the gap between the train and the station one day on a wet day, I stayed though just went up to the drive box a lot. Feel better Chris.
  20. I don't really care I probably won't be riding it anyways.
  21. I'd much rather be at Disney then a tv show shooting that you can watch later. Lame.
  22. Very well said as a former employee, myself.
  23. You guys need to stop whining, it's policy it's not going to change, face it. I really doubt that many of you are going to go to Cedar Point or Geague 5 times in one year. If you do that's great, but I don't see it happening, suck it up and move on, because it's not going to change.
  24. That's why they have a test seat at the entrance, now I understand the attendant shouldn't have been that rude, but you can't be upset that you fit if you didn't try the test seat. As far as that goes, I used to be about 270, been down to 180 and now back up to 220, and I fit on everything at CP, MF was close, but I fit fine. I'm 6'1 by the way. And good job for being motivated to lose weight, cut out all pop (diet doesn't really help much) and drink water, juice, and pop. I promise that'll work. Good luck to you.
  25. Screechin' Eagle is easily the best woodie I've ever ridden, although I haven't been to Holiday World.
