  1. B&M Hyper, we lack a good air time coaster (besides Racer). By the way, why a screaming squirrel, all it does is go back and forth downward, seems kind of boring to me.
  2. It's really none of your business to know why he wants to know when it is. Grow up.
  3. What if TR:TR was to go by by? That would solve that problem right away.
  4. For your information as of '04 supervisors had to be at least 18 years of age at least in the rides department (the important department of course ) Also, every roller coaster must have an 18 year old that is fully trained on the ride at all times.
  5. I agree, working at KI was my most favorite job ever. I was going to go back this season, but I had to take a full course load unfortunately.
  6. Actually that may be beneficial that they filled the pad with concrete, now they don't have to design around a hole in the ground. They could use the same queue and just run it up the back side of the ride, trust me it's doable I spent a lot of time there 2 years ago.
  7. Check the webcam again Vortex, I just saw it halfway up the ride, it appears it is open or is opening soon. No, I don't think it needs to be recertified, unless Ohio made a rule on Drop Towers.
  8. Dracula's Haunted Castle was so bad, that I actually would get yelled at while people were exiting, and a guy about threw a punch at me, it was pretty bad.
  9. It was a dumb thing to do, but not as dumb as some of the things I've done in my life. He got his for doing it, it's not that big of a deal.
  10. It is not policy to race Racer if it detracts from capacity. They will make an attempt if you ask, they have the signals in place, or at least they did last year. I really doubt the train was being held up for that reason as well, I can not see the whole crew allowing that. As far as professionalism goes, your dealing with 16-20 year old kids, they are going to be chatty and social and they are making close to minimum wage, you get what the park pays for. If you have complaints lodge them with guest relations and ask to talk to a manager, or ask for the rides supervisor, there is one on duty 99% of the time.
  11. Ladies and gentlemen welcome to Sponge Bob Square Pants in 3D as you enter the ride please move ALL THE WAY TO THE END OF YOUR ROW. As you sit down please place all loose articles such as: (insert stupid objects here) on the floor to the side or behind your seat. Buckle your seatbelt and place your arms high into the sky so an attendant can come around and check your seatbelt, thank you. Ladies and gentlemen thank you for rideing Sponge Bob Square Pants in 3D as you exit the theatre to your left please remember to pick up ALL LOOSE ARTICLES you may have left while riding, and don't forget to place the 3D Spectacles into the red recepticles located at the end of your aisle, thank you and enjoy the rest of your day here at KI, home of the worlds tallest fastest and baddest swing set, the Zephyr.
  12. Cedar Fair apparently needs to be a babysitter now, and this is there way of doing it. I was 4'6 in Kindergarten so obviously the kids aren't too old that have to wear them. If there parents don't like the rule there are other attractions that they can ride.
  13. It's also the longest ride in the park, around 6 minutes.
  14. Utter tragedy, It seems as though people are not inspecting cords, cables, etc. properly these days. It is ironic that she died at an event called Lifest.
  15. Cedar Points hotels (Breakers Express, Breakers, Castaway Bay, Sandcastle Suites, etc.) all allow you to get into the park 30 minutes early, this gives you time to get a couple rides on Millennium Force and Maverick before other guests get into the park. However, I usually stay at the Travelodge, it's cheap and it's not too bad for the price (about 45 a night is what I usually get.) Check Hotels.com, Hotwire, etc. for good prices. If you have any other questions send me a PM and I can answer.
  16. Lightning has struck rides before and taken them down for a few days. Lightning hit Vortex a few years ago and fried the computers, it happens and that's probably why SoB closed again. I really can't see it opening for less than a week and closing for other reason. Also, why do you think Drop Zone was getting a new part OTHER than a cable. Think about the timing, it almost certainly had to be a cable or part of the cable lift system.
  17. There have also been a few days in the past couple years where they have been at capacity, don't ask me the dates because I don't remember. Also I agree with CrazyKay, if attendance is down it is probably the economy, I also haven't been able to attend due to monetary issues.
  18. Keep in mind there are a lot more attractions at the park now too. It's hard to guess attendance based on lines, let's wait and see the numbers before we jump to conclusions.
  19. It does say on the back that you assume liability for injury, but it would be poor of Six Flags not to reimburse the family for the cost of her surgeries and such, and would make them seem like a poor business. That is not the bad PR that Six Flags wants or needs right now. I think they'll probably settle out of court for a pretty good amount of money. Thank god that girl survived though, that is what is important.
  20. Hmmmm interesting, perhaps it will be my first trip to the park for this whole season. I'd really like to attend, but I may have other circumstances pending. Good job Dane, I'm impressed.
  21. They want to sell and keep their prior management team, sounds awfully demanding for a 6.4 billion dollar buy out. We'll see if this really happens, I don't see it in the near future.
  22. According to the Enquirer article it will feature a 9 hole golf course and an 18,000 sq. ft indoor electric go-kart track. There was an old electric go-kart track off of Red Bank, and they were pretty quick, I can't wait to visit Tri-County after the remodeling is done and B.J.s Brewhouse opens.
  23. Just remember, KI is not responsible for any damage that the rides may due to your broken appendages.
  24. Out of all the water rides that KI has put in at least in my time they have all gotten you pretty wet, KCKC, Congo, WTRA, and WWC. Like I said before if you don't want to ride, I'll gladly take your place in line.
