Fast Lane "Plus" Comes to some of the Cedar Fair Parks
Hendrick replied to CoasterGeek101's topic in Kings Island
This, right here. I read about Cedar Point getting it before us, and my first through (as a person who doesn't buy FastLane) was "I sure hope Firehawk gets this!" I know when I was at Haunt last year, the line for Firehawk was a little over 2 hours, and according to the employee who stops the main line before they reach the station, she was telling everyone that even the FastLane line was about an hours wait. Count me as one of the few who are happy to see this implemented. Although, putting this on The Beast really doesn't make too much sense. I know the idea is to use this on your larger attractions, but The Beast has excellent capacity (so does Diamondback.) But then again, I don't know what ride with low capacity that I would select (maybe Flight of Fear.) -

Steel Dragon 2000 receives B&M trains
Hendrick replied to Maverick00's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Those trains have leg restrains. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. -
I really don't know much about this, so I'm pulling this out of no where. But it seems a little close to me. Under two months till opening day, I doubt that's enough time to repaint the ride as well as get all the necessary testing hours in.

Didn't Cedar Point do a teaser once for a box of cookies for Snoopy?

Boomerang gets a make over

I wish we had palm trees around ours. -
Ok fair point. But would you travel across the country to hang out at the beach? Would you travel hours for just a water park?People don't travel hours for Coney, and it operates just fine.

While I agree with the theory that you are stating, your examples can be determined without Funperks involved. (If you want to know which pizza location is busier, just look at the hourly sales and compare.) Funperks can be used to determine the actions of individual consumers. (EX: They always walks to Planet Snoopy to buy ice cream when they get pizza.)

NEW Dinosaur Boat Ride at the Columbus Zoo

That would have been a really long line! Speaking of Panda's, here is a really old video of them at Columbus Zoo. Not my video, so thanks go to the uploader! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-OinKFYtNM -
NEW Dinosaur Boat Ride at the Columbus Zoo
Hendrick replied to FOFirehawkFAN's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
It's been awhile since I went to the boat ride, so maybe someone can verify this. Doesn't the boat ride line sorta come to a T right at the river? (Going left is the boat ride). Maybe there is enough room when you turn right for the dinosaurs? (Along the river). Looking at Google Maps, it looks like it connects to the pavilion area by the carousel. While that area would seem "out of place", at least it wouldn't take anything away from the zoo. And again, maybe this path between the two areas is something I'm making up in my head. -
NEW Dinosaur Boat Ride at the Columbus Zoo

So, are they closing off Australia and the Islands and making it a $3.00 upcharge with Dinosaurs? That's what it sounds like to me... I sure hope I'm wrong. -
Totally agree. Also, what if someone is waiting in line for 2 hours, and someone just enters the line 2 minutes before the ride breaks down? Where do you judge where to stop handing out passes? I wish they would give some sort of time frame. I understand why they don't (when unforseen issues arise you have angry guest), but it would be helpful to know if it's going to take in the neighborhood of a half hour, or if it'd be closer to three. Considering that as soon as you give them a rough time, they come back ten minutes earlier, say it was three times as long as you said, and are complete jerks about the ride not being up when you said it would be. Apparently the guests expect you to have some crystal ball that tells exactly how long it will be. Especially about the whether - how long do you think it'll be. Ask mother nature, because I don't get paid to predict the weather, nor do I have the tools to do it anyway. Ahhhh!! This whole reason about not knowing is exactly the reason behind Dollywood's policy. They ask everyone in line to leave if it will be a while. That way there's no one waiting for a ride that will be down who knows how long, and no one constantly pestering about how long it will be. Not to mention, those who are there to fix the problem are not having to answer a bunch of questions, or listen to people that wonder if they know what they are doing. Again, I understand why they don't. But you have some sort of estimate if it's the fact that you need to put another train on the track, or to unlock a stuck restraint on a ride, ect. That's all I'm saying, I wasn't looking for an exact number.

Admission Details are now at the original link. All you need is a form of admission and a coaster club card. Tickets will be available at the gate and there is NO preregistration.Thanks. Trying to find a way to make CoasterMania work. Sounds like a ton of fun!

Sorry kids, Pacman is now 27ยข to play. -
Flight deck is 2,352 long while TTD is 2800 feet. TTD is actually longer than flight deck I never would have thought to compare the two, but that's really interesting that Top Thrill is longer. It sure doesn't feel like it though!

Putting to bed the rumors that Cedar Fair is planning on removing WindSeeker. Regardless, I might have to go. Is there a seperate ticket for this event? Or do I just need to show up with a standard one day ticket with my coaster club membership?

I wish that full POV would be released. I'd love to see it start to end. It has to exist somewhere! (Or at least used to).
