My first ride on Millie in 2000. Incredible.

I was going to say... What about Apollo's Chariot and Raging Bull? Apollo's Chariot is just as good a ride, if not better IMO. Raging Bull, however, is far worse that Diamondback. Being a longtime KI fan, I rated Diamondback as phenomenal. It's a great ride and much-needed for many years at the park.

Would I miss SOB? Not at all. I'll never ride it again. But I'll never "hope" that they remove a coaster. That ride was an enormous investment for the park, and it'll be another investment just to remove it. I don't think there's a chance that they take it down.

Cedar Point puts Chaos flat up for sale
Dvo replied to Brandon's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
^This assumes that someone buys it. Which I kind of doubt will happen. It's a dated ride that's not exactly in demand. Demon Drop has been on sale for a few years now, and you know that situation (it's still operating). If they do sell it, however, I don't think they'll put anything in its place. I would say a game or a food stand, but they have both of those very close to Chaos right now so I don't see those happening either. -

Seeing as WT is a pretty new investment, and not a bad one at that, I don't think it's going anywhere any time soon. As it's been said already, the only reason ridership is lower on WT is because of the capacity. Invertigo at KI is just as popular as FoF in my opinion, but it gets 1,150 less riders per hour (from KI website). As for the "chaos-style rides," there was one at Michigan's Adventure that collapsed, resulting in many injuries. http://www.rideaccidents.com/2001.html#jul30b -
I gray out going into and coming out of Vortex's second loop, as well as after the first turnaround on Millie. Pretty strong stuff.

In response to the topic title... No. And yeah, this article is horribly written... On the El Toro page: I didn't realize we were measuring angles with stories now... On the S:ROS page: So wait... the ride jumps out of the ground? Takes off? It really is superman?!

I'd rather them fix BLSC by removing it and putting the Eagles back in.

^^I still remember being a kid and trying my best to get on the Jabber Jaws on that carousel.

Thanks. Added it to bookmarks.

Does anyone know how to navigate to the blog on KI's web site? I was just using the link in the "Announcements" section, but they've taken that down and now I can't figure out where it is. I wish they used the same web site format as Cedar Point...

Sadly, I'm a victim of Diamondback. It was 2 Thursdays ago, and it was pretty chilly that day. So instead of wearing my normal cargo shorts, I wore Jeans without cargo pockets. Mistake. Anyway, I rode DBack 4 times with no problem, and then on the 5th ride I came back to the station, felt my pocket, and knew right away. But the good news is I got it back. Good work crew!

kings dominion new coaster in development
Dvo replied to raptorcp21's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
^Agreed, but when you're not riding you don't want to see 10 different coasters all with the same color scheme. A lot of the general public use the color to describe what rides they enjoyed, i.e. "I love the green and blue ones at Cedar Point, but that wood one is just horrible." -
Terpy, I was answering the original post. But I also agree with what you're saying. Dare I say that was a double-entendre? I dare, I dare.

Yes.

No idea. But who cares, this one from the MF queue is way better

Nice TR, guys. And nice seeing you all up there. Sorry I was kind of an outcast from the KIC group. I was hanging out with some friends from up there all weekend
-
Nice TR, but I win this round. 13 Millie laps. And what's this I hear about napping??? My friends and I did every ERT and the only breaks we took were for the presentations and the food. Also, who said that maXair was substituted for the Friday night ERT? Skyhawk was definitely up and running. We got 8 rides on it (some were before ERT really started).

Row 16. If you put your legs out and arms up on the first drop, and the restraint isn't stapled... holy crap.

Strickers Grove's Teddy Bear

Tornado is amazing. There is a ridiculous ejector airtime drop at the end of that ride.
