  1. Ugh yeah Cedar Point was absolutely ridiculous. And to think, this day last year, everything was nearly a walk-on up there. Stupid high school kids and their learning.
  2. Mine worked fine. Although last year I processed at CP, and this year I processed at KI.
  3. ^exactly. But in doing so, it shortens the line for everyone else. Because now those 10 people that could be in the normal line are being spread out into empty seats on other trains rather than taking up 10 seats on a train where there could be more empties.
  4. Wow the Magnum sign looks great! Although I still don't know if it's big enough to draw the crowds... I still see people walking past it
  5. While I would normally agree with you, Jackson, Cedar Point says otherwise. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/news/history/index.cfm Look at their centennial year (1970). While none of these rides are extravagant, it's still seven new rides, a new theater, kiddie land, and an aquatic exhibit. Pretty impressive for one year. Disclaimer: Of course this does NOT mean that I think KI will be making a large expansion in 2022.
  6. ^I bet that'll cost you about $10 in the park. And I'm with you on the Festhaus. They have the perfect set-up for what could be an amazing German retreat. Instead it's lined with arcade games, Chinese restaurants, etc. I think they could do well with a live German band covering fun songs in polka (see: Hofbrau Haus).
  7. ^Wow I like the single rider on Vortex. I had this pleasure on Blue Streak last year at Cedar Point. Pretty funny, really.
  8. Pretty cool. I really like the one of Zephyr.
  9. ^Yeah I think the crypt just has one giant continuous "moment."
  10. I have 2 Diamondback first rider shirts, and a Firehawk first rider shirt. I'm praying to one day find a King Cobra shirt in good condition...
  11. I completely agree that anyone should be allowed to use it as long as they're riding solo. However I don't agree that Maverick's is better. There's no point to that thing. By the time a single rider gets to the start of the SRL, there are only about 30 people in front of them. So basically they have to pray that one of those 30 people is riding solo. And that's assuming there's no one else in the line. I can certainly see flaws in Diamondback's SRL, what with the sanitation of the tickets, and certainly line jumping. Overall, however, I think it's a very effective way to fill the seats. And quite honestly, if the SRL is long, then just use the normal queue. That line moves fast anyway.
  12. After living here for 2 years now (although I'm in the suburbs), you get a whole different perspective of Chicago. It really is an amazing city, and relative to Cincinnati it's just enormous. The traffic is unbearable though
  13. Angie, I am not 900 feet tall! I'm only a mere 6'6"... But yeah, that's me! You can find me at CP marina entrance, 7 am, Saturday.
  14. Jimi Hendrix-Spanish Castle Magic and that was among other solid rock songs in the queue for DB.
  15. Ever been on Raging Bull? That might be the most disheartening attempt at a hyper I've ever been on. From what could be a good amount of air to... almost none. And Angie, I'm with ya. Last year on the first sunday of the season at CP it rained all morning, but then cleared up. Millie was a 1-train wait all day. I'm praying for anything remotely close to that this weekend.
  16. Yes you can. Though it is encouraged to process the pass at whichever park it was purchased. So if you bought it online at Kings Island's site, they'd prefer you to process it there. But if you're just buying it at the booth you should have no problems.
  17. ^I haven't heard anything about a drink wristband. But I agree with the coupon thing... Seems kind of pointless to me. I'll probably end up parking at the front gate, getting the coupons, and then driving around to the back lot.
  18. Saturday Everything: 0 Sunday Everything: 0
  19. To be brutally honest, I think Firehawk is a mediocre ride at best and the wait is always far too long for me to want to ride it... That being said, I hope they get it fixed soon whatever the problem is.
  20. ^That wasn't a line, that was just painters making bids to finally repaint that thing
  21. I think they lightened up on that some. Last year on opening weekend up at Cedar Point there was a steady rain on the Sunday morning, and they were running MF. Was it painful? Yes. Was it still totally worth riding? 100%
  22. Not bad guys. But Action Theater isn't closed... at least it wasn't on opening day. I rode Spongebob that day just because it was a walk-on.
  23. I just read a TR on coasterbuzz about Indiana Beach, and it sounds like they added seat belts to it.
