  1. Wow, pretty amazing that they didn't fine them a ludicrous sum of money considering they clearly saw the ride ops not checking restraints. That's real bad no matter how you look at it.
  2. I can't wait to get that oh-so-sweet airtime on Vortex's first hill in seat 7-1
  3. Dvo

    CB or MM

Voted for "Charlie" Brown. And yeah. Other than the Peanuts gang being a part of CP, there's not much association with KI.
  4. Nice pics. I've never been to SFGAdv, but I really want to go. Primarily to ride El Toro, but I could go for some Medusa and KK as well
  5. Sorry to go off-topic (or is it back on topic?), but I remember one day my friend and I wanted to try to break the record for most rides on Viking Fury. We asked the operators if they knew what the record was, and they said the most they knew of was 31 times in a row. So we rode it 32 times in a row. But of course, these were just ride ops, so there's no way of telling if that is a real record (likely not). Nonetheless I was proud to say I rode that thing 32 times in a row and didn't even feel remotely sick afterward
  6. I only made it through a few haunts, but Redbeard's Revenge was very good this year. It was a lot longer than I remember it being, and the scareactors really did a great job with the timing. A lot of good scares.
  7. I was there last night as well. Very crowded. We went through Redbeard's Revenge first. I think that was the best haunt I've been through at KI. A lot of good scares. We then waited about 40 minutes for The Cemetery. That was pretty disappointing. Our group was about 40 people and we were at the very end, so we saw all of the scareactors before they tried to scare us. Then we got in line for Urgent scare, but after waiting 20 minutes and moving about 80 feet, we decided that line was waaay too long. So I hit the Worksite and then left. Nonetheless still fun.
  8. If you get to the gates before the park is open, you should use the Marina entrance for getting to Millie fast. You can still park up front and just walk around the side. Then you can bolt to MF. I did it 4 times this year and got on the first train every time
  9. ^I've been on shockwave at Kings Dominion. It's pretty much the exact same ride as KC, but I liked the location of KC better. The camelback after the loop on KC is still one of my all time favorite elements on a coaster. RIP KC!
  10. ^^As long as you're not passing anyone, I say it's definitely fair game. Walking through all those queues takes from all that potential ride time!
  11. Yeah, the Viking Ship at KI is one of the best ones I've been on due to its location on the pond. Not to mention the ship itself is beautiful (I'm looking at you, Ocean Motion!).
  12. It seems like FoF has potential for a rollback. Not sure if that's happened though. And I've seen Maverick rollbacks as well. And I've gotten 2 on TTD! Including first train of 08
  13. This could be very interesting to see the American reaction. Personally I have no problem with the Islamic, or any other, religion. To each his own. But I could see a lot of people having a big problem with an American theme park hosting an event for muslims. Hopefully this doesnt lead to terrible things.
  14. ^LOVING the Chaos addition. That is one of the craziest flats I've been on. There's nothing like diving head first, 2 feet away from the ground. I've had bad luck on that this year though... 2 of the first 4 times I rode it, it went down mechanical
  15. you make it sound as if there's only one.... haha. darn these roads to hell! Anyway. Since the trend is now top 5 anywhere: 1) Millennium Force 2) Maverick 3) Magnum XL-200 4) Voyage 5) Raptor
  16. haha, whoops! I live in Chicagoland now... it must be rubbing off on me. Darn you terpy! -Dvo, wondering what this city will do to him next....
  17. ^I like the way you roll, westcoaster. Good call on Viking Fury (not pirate ship ) If this were the top 6, Viking Fury would be my 6th. Anyway... 1) Vortex 2) FoF 3) The Beast 4) Adventure Express 5) Racer As for my "all time" list: 1) King Cobra 2) The Beast (prior to trims) 3) Vortex 4) American Eagles 5) Racer
  18. ^lol. I think the location of this ride is near the Fountain of Youth, where Nessie now resides.
  19. ^I'm in total agreement. Last year I moved up here (I now live in Chicago suburbs) and I bought a season pass to that park. I'll never do it again. This year I got a season pass to Cedar Point! And I made 3 trips for a total of 7 days of greatness @ CP. Totally worth the 5 hr drive. Great America is a poorly-designed, well over-crowded park with very mediocre rides. Raging Bull is probably the most boring hyper I've been on, and Superman is just dumb. Not to mention the 1.5 hr wait for it.
  20. Awesome pics. I got to make 3 trips to CP this year for a total of 7 days in the park, and yet it still doesn't get old. Gotta love that park.
  21. Ha,the tombstones says Kinzel.I cant wait for this year!!!! That's been around for a while. They have an interment place for Jack Falfas too. I've never bothered to read them. But I have'nt been to haunt since 2006,because of probation. I got a kick out of the picture. My brother is the guy in the white shirt He's the really really tall KI police officer if anyone has seen him.
  22. I'd say if she was taken to a hospital it must have been a good sized gash. It seems like first aid would have given her a band-aid or something if it was that small. I keep trying to come up with a "bone" pun but I've got nothin
  23. Knowing Kings Island, they'll probably just put 3 Chilivision TV's in the station and call it "themed." Now, in the high hopes they don't, I would love for it to have an awesome metal song, like "Tornado of Souls" by Megadeth. But I don't think too many families are going to like listening to metal, so I doubt they'll do that. I could see them going with a mainstream pop-rock band, though. Maybe Nickelback, or Seether (read: crap).
  24. I think 3.5 hrs is my maximum, and Millennium Force is probably the only ride I'd wait that long for.
  25. Yeah the removal of KC, KCKC, and the Eagles all still break my heart.
