Last Saturday I had Fast Lane....you have to on a Saturday in October if you want to accomplish anything...anyway, the first ride op asked ME what color they were using because he hadn’t been told yet! Embarrassed that that simple fact didn’t occur to me.

Just curious, why is it useless for your 5 year old? Does she not really like rides? My 4 year old nephew got quite a bit of use last weekend. The rides that he was able to use it on: The Monster, Shake Rattle & Roll, Scrambler, The Eiffel Tower, Flying Ace Aerial Chase, Boo Blasters, Surf Dog, Woodstock Gliders & the new Antique Cars. The Fast Lane came in very handy.

No Haunt trip is complete unless I get to see Sam & Mama!

I’ve said it in the past and it still rings true after all these years...if you want to know when it’s going to rain, just ask me when my family has scheduled our annual Halloween Haunt trip! We schedule our trip months in advance and always seem to pick just the right day. Last night was rainy, but still mostly fun. The good thing is it clears out the crowd... the bad things are the outdoor haunts are shut down, and sitting in cold wet rides. Here’s to a better tonight! It was a better night tonight!

I can’t find the topic...but a couple of months ago someone posted a picture of some wood souvenirs. The one that I remember specifically was a Beast one replicating one of the signs in the station. They were not big in size. Can someone tell me which store has these?

PLEASE, PLEASE Kings Island, sell some pieces of the ride, it doesn’t have to be much....just a plain old piece of the track, or wood from the station....cut an 8 inch piece, print out a Certificate Of Authenticity and rape* me! *Just so no one gets offended, when using the word rape, I am using this Webster's definition of the word: “an act or instance of robbing”.

For me, riding a coaster during the winter was really something that I only wanted to say that I did...just for the novelty of it. Now that I have done it, once was plenty. This year I plan on hitting up some of the other things I missed out on last year. Winterfest really does offer SO much to do! (Now if it just doesn’t turn into the nightmare crowds of Halloween Haunt all will be good.)

I have said it in the past, but I’ll say it again...I don’t understand how the park doesn’t realize what a goldmine they have in The Undertaker. Not only does he have a unique look, his “on air” personality is great. Why the park has not built their ad campaign for Halloween Haunt around him I can not understand. He should be the official host. I would love it if they would create a statue of him like they did of this previous host.

If that’s the case, what’s the point of the honor? It would be the equivalent of only fellow musicians knowing who is in the Rock N’ Roll Hall Of Fame.

Judging by the crowd it draws when it’s over in the water park, I am guessing this will make Planet Snoopy pretty congested.

I am also old...and I am the first to admit my memory is not the greatest. I have been to every year of Fearfest & Halloween Haunt, I also can not remember walking in Congo Falls waterway...but I do seem to remember walking in White Water Canyon’s. It was on one of the variations of the train haunt. After the train “broke down” you walked to the second half of the haunt. Unless my memory is way off, I swear at one point we walked through part of the waterway. Anyone know if I am right or not?

Agree 100%. The train was the only weak spot of Winterfest.

Even though I have never added to the collection, for some reason I like this tradition. It reminds me of the old gum tree in the line for White Water Canyon back in the day...I miss that.

^Yeah, that was an awful time period...those cups were awkward to deal with at the park.
