What's your favorite amusement and water park?
upstop replied to Maverick00's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Amusement parks - Hands down... both Busch Gardens parks, with Sea World close behind. Water parks - None, not interested. Seasonal event -Busch Gardens Hallowscreams (both parks) with Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights in close behind. Really want to go to Christmas Town at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg......(Ahh Winterfest excuse me while I wipe a tear...) -
All of my visits have registered, and the sunglasses I bought at Soak City on the second visit have not registered. I'll think about making more purchases when that purchase hits my rewards account...
-
If I remember correctly, Disney has a purchase/delivery to the front gate option so you don't have to lug purchases around.....Not sure if that would work at KI or for the oversized stuffed animials....Personal items would be another issue. I wonder how $21 dollars was determined as a reasonable fee... I guess I'll take any purchases to my car, if I decide to make any purchases (and with fees like that......I won't be making any).....and eat my packed lunch while I'm there.

Ahhh how long till we have the index and middle finger scanners like Disney does.
-
$12, $15 and $21 plus timed lockers? Seriously???? I just want to visit the park not buy the park.
-
Here...here....I'll drink from my Spongbob refill cup to that!
-
It's magic!
-
True... but why not advertise the platinum pass for both parks instead of the more expensive CP pass?

Geauga Lake's 'Big Dipper' still there

A nice exciting wooden rollercoaster would be nice at Coney Island (on the river). -
In the last three hours, I've seen advertisements for Cedar Point passes on the local Cincinnati television channels. Now granted, I don't watch TV that often, but I've never seen any commercials for Cedar Point in the Cincinnati area before and now I've seen three. Also, I have heard an advertisement on a local radio station for "staycations" for Ohio and it mentions a three day vacation including a Cincinnati Reds game, a day at the Cincinnati Zoo and a day at Cedar Point. I thought this was strange since Kings Island would be the obvisous choice if you are vacationing in the Cincinnati area, wouldn't you agree? I don't think there is any "consipracy", I just think it's odd. Why do you think this is occurring?

No baggage check this afternoon....and Invertigo, WindSeeker and Eifel Tower were not operating.

Perhaps this song is appropriate.

I'm positive that there will be more options in the future..... Fast Lane is only the beginning!
-
How about these ideas.... in addition to the $35 Fast Lane. How about Fast Lane + ? For an additional $50 dollars, you can ride all of the Fast Lane rides three times in a row without ever leaving your seat and one trip trip to the front of the line of any concession! How about Fast Lane ++ ? For an additional $100 you can ride any ride in the park indefinitely during the course of the day without ever having to leave the seat of the ride and have a reserved seat for every show in the park, in the front three rows of a the venue, plus unlimited trips to any concession, front of the line! How about Fast Lane +++? For an additional $200 dollars per family member, you and your family would be driven from ride, to show, to water park in a golf cart! And for that special feeling of family togetherness, rides would be evacuated and only you and your family would ride for as many times as you want! Total cost would obviously include admission, and the Fast Lane pass cost for a total of $438.99 per person.....reasonable, right? The possibilites are endless!

Let me guess.....for 25000 points you can go to the skeeball building and get a plastic back scratcher.
-
The cost for a ticket doesn't seem like much of a savings. I bought a hamburger, fries and a drink in Festhaus for $12 something last year. Add a pretzel and thats $15 something.
-
Wow. Looks like they pulled out the alliteration and rhyming dictionary for this task.....
-
Didn't get a pass this year. The gas prices are getting outrageous. May have to select one destination to visit this year and since this years line up of attractions at Cedarfair parks don't particularly interest me I'll probably head west or south or no where at all.
-
At one time didn't a certain PR rep say that Cedar Fair wanted to take Kings Island back to what it used to be.........corn fields anyone?
-
Busch Gardens in Florida had an upcharge haunted house called "Alone". I haven't read any reviews, but walking alone through a haunted attraction might be interesting and rather scary if done correctly.

KI needs to close some of the pathways to force people through some spaces to create new "scare zone" pathways. Its much more cool when the actors blend in with the crowds and sneak up on people.

Season pass sales blitz - Marketing experts please chime in
upstop replied to Jeorby Nanpa's topic in Kings Island
It all depends. I spent $5.00 in all of my visits. Water tastes fine, and there are plenty of options to eat outside of the park and beyond. -
It is what a scare zone should be. At Busch, Cedar Point and Universal, the scare zones are paths between mazes that are themed and the actors blend in with the crowds. Kind of like a maze without the wait. I thought Nightmare Alley was cool and I hope they add more zones like it in the future.

Would make a cool area for Antique Cars.......
