That reminds me of the comparison between food shown on a menu board, and the food that actually gets served to you.

The only ones Ive ridden that compare in terms of speed and ride cycle, are the ones I used to ride as a young child at a yearly summer carnival back in Iowa, and the Rough Riders at Holiday World. Ive not had the pleasure of Knoebel's.... yet. In regards to the Sky Room, I will second Brad's statement, in that there needs to be a return to the splendid food you speak of, Terp. There is honestly only one meal that isnt regular park food, and thats the Chicken pasta dish. The waitress who served us was incredibly nice, and was actually engaged, interested, and knowledgable about the park and its current activities. THAT, was a very welcome deviation from what Ive come to expect from non-suit wearing park employees.

Id suggest taking advantage of your 5th Amendment Rights on that question, lol.

The last two times I was at CP (Coastermania 15 and June 7/8 of this year), they were working like clockwork all day and night. And, yes, I agree completely in regards to said launch tunnel.

I mistakenly forgot to state what coaster I was talking about with the water interaction.... that was totally my bad. I was referring to the ones on Maverick, the water cannons. Sorry for the confusion.

id like to note, that when I looked at the webcam to check this out today, I spent some time watching the ride run and the crew was doing an amazing job! Consistent dispatches as the train already on course was hitting the MCBR, nice work! Also, I agree with bkroz about water interaction being great. Id just like to see them change the control programming for the waterspouts, so they each fire about a half second sooner. A nice misting on a summer day while flying around that turn would be great! Sorry guys, forgot to say I was talking about Maverick and the timed water cannons on the right hand turn after coming out of the tunnel

I agree with you, and from what I saw and experienced at IB, your joy and happiness is different than what I think KDD is getting at... the random screaming and foolishness, and the things like people that scream and freak out while going up the lift hill or in the brake run on a coaster. Id like to stuff a sock in those peoples mouths, with my foot still inside it. Hell, I was laughing and carrying on just as much as you on the rides at IB, lol.

While I see the concept of "giving away the gate", and while I wish it would have worked for FMP, the key is to get guests to spend the savings (and hopefully more) in the park. More often than not, its unfrotunately been proven ineffective, and I dont see it being any different in this case. Tick tock.

More groups, bring MORE groups, load the park up with MORE groups all at the same time, and then push #bestdayever. It is? That is the one thing that makes me absolutely livid, over and above all other minor annoyances (which King Ding Dong covered what I feel is the largest park going annoyance). $$$$$..... and they already have yours, so why not push for more. Captive audience. And, yes, get off my lawn!!

And their bumper cars go fast enough to drift them around corners, and make opposing cars do full 180 degree turns when you PIT maneuver them :D Sparky, a fan of bumper cars that go faster than walking speed.

That is good to know, considering Im going back to my old stomping grounds and two home parks (Adventureland, and WoF which is my "adopted" home park) August 7th thru the 12th, and am happy to hear that there were no issues there.

IndyGuy4KI and I are headed to KD (and possibly a quick jaunt to Carowinds) this coming Sunday thru Wednesday, hopefully we dont encounter this type of soup-sandwich Sunday evening when we get to KD. Like I said before, both of our KI Platinum Passes worked flawlessly at CP on June 7th/8th, and I will drop a quick post Sunday evening in regards to any problems (if any) encountered.

LOL, yeah, I just realized I screwed up and put 2001, and not 2011. That was the same year the Platinum I purchased online from WoF came up as invalid at KD when I tried to turn the paper copy into a hard card. In regards to my KI Platinum, they both worked properly at both parking tolls, and at entry turnstiles at CP when Brad and I went on the 7th and 8th of June. We will see how they work at KD when we go the 17th, 18th,and 19th of July.

Yes, I am fully aware of that. What I am also aware of is that the park still has the "little park" feel... at least for now. That, of course, is subject to and may change, much like one a few hours south/southwest.

It was down for about 3 hours mid-afternoon, but was re-open with a full queue when we left at about 645pm on the 4th. Thankfully, I got my first two rides ever on it, on Fathers Day. Funny thing, I rode it once at 1145, and then again at 1430, and had it stick on the MCBR both times as well, lol. I am a fan of the park, places like IB are a lot more up my alley than Corp parks like CF parks, and even HW now . Much more relaxed atmosphere, much LESS money-grubbing, more diverse flat collection, and a perfect example of how to be a good park without relying on chasing records for every "est" in the industry. I just hope they are financially able to send all three woodie trains to PTC for refurb (although Cornballs train doesnt really need it, may as well make it a trio) and to give Hurricane some track Love. That CCI has NOT aged well, very much a reminder of Villain.

Likewise, thankfully all of the ones I experienced happened on multiple day stays at said destinations, so it usually wasnt a total bust as we just tried agin the next day.

1) Im not even going to engage the first comment, and you need look no further than my Profile pic to see why. 2) Play the odds of having 20 seconds taken from your oh so valuable in park time for a random search, or spend much more time in the line to get scanned/searched at the gates, while at the same time putting yourself in the situation Terp is alluding to? Which is more detrimental to the "Best Day Ever" experience? Its the whole "anti stop, question, and frisk" crowd that would raise Cane about it. 3)THAT one i will agree with... see Brussels Airport. 4)Loving and absolutely on board with your last two points, regarding the drive to the park, and about the more "valid" (for lack of a better word right now) daily concerns you have. Another thing, and I was absolutely dumbfounded/livid when i saw this idiocy, is this. When going through their metal detectors or wands, how many times have you had your phone checked? The reason I ask, is this... Not a large capacity device, but one injury/death is too many.

One thought i have to reduce that issue is to place KI Security/Mason P.D. in areas around the park with wands, and scan/search random individuals or groups of people, but the problem I run into with that is we have become a Country of "Oh NO, I was singled out due to my (insert reason person feels they were "profiled" here)".
