  1. I closed all running apps and tried reloading, it's still doing this for me. I have an iPhone 6 Plus and have never had an issue with an app running on my phone.

  3. I just updated the app on my iPhone and it is not loading for me. It just goes to the cartoonish version of the skyline. I can make out what looks to be Intimidator, Carolina Skytower, and Fury 325.
  4. I think I heard something about green INTAMIN track in the article too! Oh wait... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. http://www.cincinnati.com/story/money/2015/05/17/newport-levee-future/27443925/ 200 ft tall Ferris Wheel could be in the works down by the river. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I'm hoping they have guest speakers of this caliber next year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Based on what I saw from numerous KIC users on Facebook, looks like I missed a great event., especially Dennis Spiegel talking about the history of the park. If there's a similar event taking place next year, you can bet I'll be there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. First I've heard of it myself. I've yet to ride Banshee this year. How does it affect the ride itself? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I think a B&M hyper may be a good fit. If it's anything like Diamondback or Carowinds' Intimidator, it would be extremely re-rideable and appeal to the masses To be honest, when I first saw I-305 it intimidated the hell out of me and that's no joke. I was at Kings Dominion the Sunday of Independence Day weekend and it was no more than a station wait. Turned out to be one of my top coasters and I was able to ride 6 times back to back as a result of the short lines. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I will say the Hurler at KD is possibly the second roughest wooden coaster I've ever been on, Son of Beast of course holds the top spot. Hurler at Carowinds was a much more tolerable experience last season, thanks to retracking. If it came down to Hurler or Shockwave being removed, I'd say TIMBER!
  11. I was at the park for a little while Saturday evening. Ended up riding The Bat which was a 15 minute wait, checked the interactive map and verified correct after the fact. Headed towards the exit and checked the wait time for Banshee on the board. It called the wait time at 30 minutes. 5 minutes prior all queues were full. Line had to be 45 plus minutes. Great concept but still in its infancy at the park. Cannot wait for the update to the mobile app to show wait times! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. If you want eerie, try riding Thunder Run at Kentucky Kingdom while a plane is coming in for a landing. I could practically see faces in the windows of the plane!I'd would be up for a trip down to Kentucky Kingdom to see this first hand! That is, if they let me in! YOU SHALL NOT PASS. 13. Here's my two cents... The Beast and The Racer: the middle row of each car is the smoothest as you are not in a wheel seat. I prefer front row on night rides. Diamondback: Row 2, either seat Banshee: 8-4 is my go-to seat on Banshee, honorable mention for 1-4. Vortex: 5-1 is a good ride. The first drop in 7-1 still takes me by surprise each time I ride it. The Bat: 7-1 is my go-to seat. Flight of Fear: Front row, every time Backlot Stunt Coaster, Invertigo, Firehawk: The red Ford Focus in the parking lot.
  14. I also recommend Dixie Stampede. I haven't been since 2001 but highly enjoyed it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I remember this park. I remember going on the Dragon Coaster and throwing a huge temper tantrum. I despised roller coasters with a fire breathing passion back then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Seeing a LOT of people on here and on my Facebook visiting BGT and BGW. I'm wanting to visit both parks BADLY, especially for the behind the scenes experience. Homestar92 posted a pic on his Facebook at the top of Griffon and I wouldn't mind taking part at some point. Also, return visits to NJFTP and KD are on the radar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Quoting Purdude86.: I agree. That's why I'm always mixed on getting a giga at the park. Would love to see us get one but something new and different, not just bigger, really helps to enhance the park and make it more diverse. Gigas are fun but it wouldn't be vastly different from Diamondback unless there was something new to it. I do find it a bit funny though that all three coaster in Action Zone now are ones that hang below the track. There's no contest when comparing any of the B&M hyper coasters I've been on and Fury 325, in my opinion. Granted I've only been on 3 of them...Diamondback, Nitro at NJFTP, and Intimidator at Carowinds. All three are within the same speed range with Diamondback and Nitro both at 80mph , Intimidator at 75mph. All have decent airtime but the increase in speed and height made Fury 325 truly different from any of the B&M hypers. It's a matter of when not if Kings Island gets theirs I believe. Granted KD didn't have anything of that height when I-305 opened and the last coaster Carowinds got was their Intimidator, I could see it happening here. I haven't quite gotten the hang of this Tapatalk app. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Charlotte-Douglas Airport is only 10-15 miles from the park. One of the videos from Media Day showed an airplane passing above the lift hill on Fury 325. Cool and eerie at the same time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thank you for sharing. I agree that I-305 is worth the trip alone. Favorite steel coaster by far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Invertigo

The only Vekoma Boomerang I enjoyed was Carolina Cobra. Firehawk is a ride that I have to be in the mood for. Mind Eraser at Six Flags America, a Vekoma SLC? One of the most painful coasters I've ever been on. No lie. The only enjoyable Vekoma I've ever ridden was Rock N' Roller Coaster at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Vekoma is not my favorite manufacturer, so I don't tend to ride them all that often. I would hate to see them get rid of Invertigo. Can't picture the entrance to Kings Island without it.
  21. I don't have a KI map for 2015 yet but if I'm thinking correctly it's the same style Kings Dominion had last year and Carowinds started doing this year. The map is on one side with all points of interest and the park policies are on the reverse side. Refer to the map I picked up when I was down at Carowinds two weeks ago for what their map looks like for this year. Their map was similar to KI's last year with their B&M hyper, Intimidator, on the front. Sorry for the bad quality of the picture as its a long shape and hard to fit it with the camera on my iPhone 6 Plus. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. In previous years, you could get a free replacement if you had yet to use the pass that season. (eg. if you renewed in the fall, but lost the pass before spring) I don't know whether this is still the policy. Since you have used your 2015 pass, you would need to pay the appropriate replacement fee. Note that you can only do this once per season; if you lose it again, you're out of luck. We used it down at Carowinds a few weeks ago so looks like we will be paying the $30. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Looking forward to seeing this Jordan! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
