The thing that sticks out to me the most from this announcement is $300M in investments over the next 10 years. That is a lot of money for new projects.

I have only ridden the one in Florida but I am a huge fan of the ride as I really enjoy dark rides and the Haunted Mansion is still one of the tops in the category. During my last trip to Disney World I bought a book about the Haunted Mansion. It covers everything from the early concepts, creation and changes to the rides over the years and has comparisons between the different versions around the world. Amazon has it if anyone wants to give it a read. please no. plenty of room for a Giga without taking out one of the last remaining of its kind.

no reason to speculate based on the stickers being removed, but it is an awesome idea, one I had myself years ago. Flight Deck is a great little coaster but has a horrible name and there is not much left of the original aircraft theming anyway. Paint that baby black and red, put some bat heads on the front of the cars (stickers even) and a retheme of the station. Instantly a ton cooler.

Thanks all. I am really looking forward to the trip. It does look like they have an amazing collection of classic rides. I am planning to be at the park Sunday Aug 11, hopefully it is not too busy.

I am planning my first trip to Kennywood next month. Any advice? It looks like an awesome little park.

I personally didn't find mean streak all that uncomfortable but also not all the fun either.

breaks are key. I am usually good for about 3-4 rides in a row with no wait before I have to take at least a few minutes just to walk around and get my legs back under me. In recent years I have taken dramamine but so far this year I have not used it on the few park visits I have so far made and have not had an issue.

They have done quite a bit of track work the last few off seasons. Look at all the new wood. It has been getting better every year since about 2010.

Cool. Hopefully I can make this one. I work Saturdays but I typically take one off in the Fall to go to Haunt.

I did the Haunt Day with "the other site" back in 2008. It included ERT on Racer and FOF, walkbacks of beast and Diamondback construction plus lights on tours of two haunts and 3 front of the line passes for any haunt. Plus supper was provided in the International Street Restaurant. It was very fun and one of my favorite park trips to this day.

This is difficult for all involved but I believe the park is doing the fairest thing they can for everyone. I think if I were planing a trip for someone with these issues I would try and make it a day where there would not be much of a crowd. I typically do this for myself anyway. Browntggrr's point about the evac is also very valid and something I had not considered before reading his post. I really feel that no matter what parks try to do in this situation it is going to upset someone.

Hasn't been my experience, especially in the night rows. Um... what? don't worry. He got me on this one too a few years ago....
