This made me a little sad:
-
Those signs are still up? I haven't seen any. I never visited PKI, so I can't really comment on this, but I would have loved to have seen TRTR before the retheme. Wait! Can it be considered a retheme since CF didn't really, well, theme it?

I wonder why this particular station decided to do a story on this, but not on the line jumping, which actually IS an issue.
-
Well, they DO make an announcement for thunderstorms now. Hmm...
-
^^ I agree. All of Worlds of Fun's coasters have POVs, even the Wacky Worm! Why not Kings Island? Where else?
-
I've always heard that it said "Something new is dropping in here soon!".

What level of intensity do you perfer in your rides?
CedarPointer replied to McSalsa's topic in KI Polls
Wow, I can't say I've ever gone on a ride that I physically couldn't put my hands up on... -
Hmm. Clearly, that isn't working...
-
During my first time on the ride, yes.
-
YES!
-
No. CedarPointer, thinking different.

The only thing I find slightly offensive about the upkeep of the park is the two neat little piles of bird that are visible when you are going up AE's first lift. When you're first going onto the lift, look to your left at the lift motor for lift 2. Apparently, AE was quite the adventure for some poor bird. Could they PLEASE clean that up? It's starting to smell...

Absolute WORST park-going experience of my life!

But, considering how liberal many public schools are, I doubt that will happen for a long time. CedarPointer, who was shocked when his Springboro HS science teacher taught that global warming was not true. -
I always just walk buy, not making eye contact (and walk the opposite direction from them). However, if they do say something, I politely say "no thank you".

She'll actually write it, capitalized and all. On one of my projects (which included something on NU), she wrote: "Your name for the kids area at PKI is incorrect. Last time I was there, it was called Kiddyland."

Flight of Fear's first inversion.

My computer teacher. She doesn't know ANY of the ride names, and she's NOT going to learn them anytime soon. Let's see, she calls Nick Universe "kiddyland", Diamondback "that viper thing", uses The Beast/The Beastie/Son of Beast interchangably, she's called the Eiffel Tower "Space Spiral", and apparently Vortex is now known as King Cobra. *sigh..*
-
"If you are currently stuck in The Beast, push down and pull up on your lapbar." Oh, and I wasn't aware that "King's Island" was a family establishment. (I kid, I kid)

Absolute WORST park-going experience of my life!
CedarPointer replied to IBEW_Sparky's topic in Trip Reports
I saw a group of at least TWENTY line jump FOF today. Since the line wasn't really that long (I was near the back anyway), I hopped under the handrail, after seeing two or three others do the same, and walked back to the beginning of the line and let the height-checker know. The employees actually did end up doing something about it. Line Jumpers: 3, Kings Island: 1. -
Today, a girl asked me how many times The Crypt went upside down. I said "two". Apparently, to her, "two" means "none". Also, on the Eiffel Tower elevator, going down... Guest: "This reminds me of Drop Tower, except it doesn't drop." Me: "Oh, you didn't hear? It's just like Drop Tower now. Drops 200 feet." Guest: "REALLY?!?!?!"
-
*on The Beast* Ride op: "If you're having a good time, give me a thumbs up! *looks around* Hey! Why are you giving me a thumbs down?" Guest: "Because you're only running one train."

My $17 shoes from Wal-Mart.

There's a simple solution to overpriced food: eat before you go, or when you get there (Taco Bell and McD's are right down the road), and don't spend money at the park. I think I've spent all of about 80 nickels at the park itself this year.
-
I have heard that it is there so people can't spit at the train from the lift hill, but The Beast doesn't have a wall, so I'm not sure what the difference is...

Well, Disney teaches Traditions, but there's really no reason for a amusement park to do something like that. Rarely is the park's past important to a 16-year-old ride operator.
