Why would they want to have someone as a fan who they constantly have to clean up after?

If they charge nothing for it, they will make $0 no matter how many people go through it. If they charge $5, and 1/3 as many people go through it as would have otherwise, that's still more money for them. I don't think they care how many times passholders go through- do they offer discounts on the other upcharges or let them go on free?

You could translate it as "I don't want to spend $5 so I hope it's a failure and they remove it and add a 500foot Intamin."

A few things I noticed... "Self-Serve Sells" Yeah, but self-serve also steals... I always wondered why they had no way of preventing theft from those machines, like having the cashier be able to control when the machines were turned on- they only turn on while a paying customer is filling their cup. I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned in the article. The number of people I've seen walking around with water cups full of soda carrying a Diamondback cup tells me otherwise. This gives me a great mental picture of a cart with a huge sign that says "Coke!" followed by three more different carts that say "SPRITE!", "DIET Coke!", and "PIBB XTRA!".

Holiday World and KI are not the same park. Lower admission? KI's admission (online) is $35.99. Holiday World's admission is $42.95...

This basically sums up the whole thread. If KI's guests could decide how the park operated... Food prices would be reduced Admission prices would be reduced Drinks would be free Parking would be free Hours would be longer Merchandise prices would be reduced The park would close due to lack of money in days. Most of the general public and even enthusiasts really don't know how to operate a park, even if they think they do.

If Cedar Fair did not think their pricing was more profitable than that of other parks, they would lower the prices. They aren't stupid. And about Disney... their drinks are cheaper, but the food itself seemed to be more or less than KI. At Magic Kingdom, the fried fish basket I had was a bit less than it would be at Outer Hanks, but the fried shrimp basket was about a dollar more. And their buffets are certainly more.

Am I the only one who has noticed that the red thing they're working on now doesn't look like it's level? Edit: Nevermind, it's the webcam that seems to be tilted.

It's true! People at Worlds of Fun kept falling off the wall... and they all had one thing in common...

I wish we had a Rotor, I love Finnish Fling at Worlds of Fun. I think they're doomed though since it takes a lot more force to stick certain people to the wall than it used to, though...

If you renewed at the park, you used your old pass when you were renewing, and your home park (in this case Kings Island) is the first park you're using it at then it will be processed.

I really hope they remove the old Action Theater entrance "tunnel" under Racer. It looks kind of unsightly with it still there.

I'm not sure which logo I like more- the Nickelodeon Central one that totally brings back good memories, or the Magic of the Movies one that has the cool Paramount star thing going on.

The costumes actually look fairly light compared to today's costumes.

My CP platinum pass didn't work at Worlds of Fun or KI when I had one. It's not just KI that has problems with that.

It's not on the map.

How do they list it? Are all of the names just plopped onto the map?

I think they might have went from an old map that didn't have the names, which would have still had that stuff.
