Wow. Elitch Gardens does it again... the attitudes were amazing. The food was equally pleasant. I had chicken nuggets which at best were about the quality of Banquet frozen chicken patties, spongy texture and all. I think the thing that topped off my day was the dangerous loading procedure of The Flying Coaster. If you had loose articles, you had to cross the track and leave your belongings on the other side, which would be fine, except that the cars remain moving during loading. Does anyone else see the HUGE safety issue with having guests cross in front of a moving ride vehicle? I was stunned...

Do the fire effects work on their BLSCs? Not to say we have better theming on every single ride *coughcough*, but we have some...

I think the worst thing I saw was the attitudes of the employees. I was actually made fun of by one employee at Sidewinder because I was riding it by myself. I was literally speechless.

2006, IIRC. It was SF at the time, I've heard that it improved in the last few years.

Six Flags Elitch Gardens. It was a crowded, cramped, hot mess. The flying coaster had many things in common with going down Niagara Falls in a barrel, Twister II did not seem safe, and Mind Eraser had one of the funniest operational "errors" I've ever seen. The ride ops were throwing the keys TO THE RIDE across the station. Oops! They went over the edge and under the track. They had to call maintenance to come get them.

Nope. I'm not really sure why. They're good though.

What kind of fries are they? The chili cheese fries at Skyline are $5.95 including tax, guess it depends on what you like. I loooooooooove the Skyline ones.

One word: ouch! -
My (biased) opinion on the food: I wouldn't really call it "bad" or "slop", each time I have eaten in the park, I've been happy with the quality of the food. If you were to eat in the park, I would suggest the Backyard BBQ. I haven't had it yet this year, and the food choices are different this year, but I was happy with it last year.

If the parking attendants were telling guests that rides were closed, he'd be complaining that it wasn't on their website, and if it was on there, he would complain that they didn't call him personally to let him know...
-
Oh boy, this again? You want them to turn away paying customers because a small fraction of the parks rides are closed? Well, as long as they have a handstamp...

[nevermind, yes, he is referring to my post.]

[removed, I thought better of this later...]

Did GR even have power? I don't really know anything about this, but if they didn't, maybe they *couldn't* give refunds if the computers were down?
-
Do you really think that they didn't say anything about the issues when people were buying tickets? I highly, highly doubt that they said nothing and just let people buy tickets.

AFAIK shops in Coney never closed. I know for a fact that mine didn't.

I wonder if the reason for it being off is the projector "flashing" the guests when something goes wrong with the smoke screen. (anyone who's ridden it with the projector on and smoke screen off would know what I mean) Maybe they are trying to figure out a way to automagically turn off the projector when the smoke stops?

I like the one that goes "...when human endurance is pushed to-"

It would be interesting to see the reaction of whoever opened the next day... I would probably pass out if I found someone in a back room.

Yes, they've been playing lately.

I put my hands up, but not higher than my head. It's the best of both worlds!

I think that's a hot chocolate? I have no idea why they would ring that up, though... (or it might be a cookie? I think?) -
I have heard that "King's Island Motor Speedway" was intentional, and not an error. I've also heard that the peeling wallpaper in BBoBH's queue was "theming". Take it for what it is...

Backlot seems to need quite a bit of work, too. It appears to be more "rusty" than FD, especially when viewed from the Eiffel Tower to Dodgems path. (or my memory is bad and it's perfectly fine. I'll look tomorrow)
