  1. At the end of the day, if a dude wants to throw back a beer or two from a cooler in his own vehicle in the parking lot, go for it. It's not hurting me, and it's not hurting you. Besides, after the pounding you take just to park, you should be able to do eat and drink whatever the hell you want in your own car.
  2. I really took this attraction for granted. Boo Blasters is just plain horrible when it comes to dark rides.
  3. Except KI's parking lot is not a public place.
  4. Straight from KI's web page regarding the "alcoholic beverages at Kings Island" policy: "Guests must be at least 21 years of age to purchase, possess or consume alcoholic beverages at Kings Island. Valid State issued identification or valid driver's license is required upon each person purchasing, possessing or consuming alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted while in line for any ride." All I see is no alcoholic beverages in line. Don't see anything about the parking lot.
  5. I get it's not legal but do you always abide by the posted speed limit? Just curious but were these guys bothering you or harassing you in any way?
  6. Go for it. Just dont get caught or they will make you dump it. Nothing a red Solo cup cant fix though.
  7. I'm still not seeing your point but Arrow has several fails. The Bat, Drachen Fire, and X come to mind. I can't think of one B&M failure.
  8. The control booth sucks. You can't see much and you needed cameras to see down to the gondola. That building is an eyesore. It was even when they had a ride in there and it needs to go.
  9. Huh? So the integration of computers leads to a ride built with less quality? Not following you here.
  10. Like someone mentioned earlier, there are gantry systems in there that are used for nothing more than people moving. I'm not 100% sure on their weight capacity but I'd be willing to bet they can't be used to pick up track pieces. That being said, the roof also opens up for crane access.
  11. I will never understand the fascination people get by walking next to a roller coaster.
  12. Stuck with? You do realize the park is open every weekend in September right? It has everything to do with boosting attendance on a relatively uncrowded holiday weekend.
  13. The whole reason for shutting down baffles me. The Beast ran for how many years while the fireworks were going off? Did they move the launch site of the fireworks or something recently?
  14. Doubt Slingball goes anywhere. They just didn't want it in the video. Notice how that entire midway isn't there?
  15. That wouldn't be the old beige General Services van, would it? I drove that thing many a time. Memories, indeed! My favorite memory of the beige van is when the sliding door just fell off one day. Hey glock, have you seen the "new" red truck lately? Good lord.
  16. This truck is most likely on its way back from dropping a load of stuffed animals ot basketballs or some other form of prizes for the games. The games warehouses(there are 3 there) is right next to Flight of Fear and Firehawk behind The Racer, one of the warehouses is actually used in the fall for haunt, I think the maze if that is still a haunted house there. But anyways they use that service road to get there and back.I am not buying what you are selling! In all my years I have never seen a semi in that area, Second that is a container truck not something they would to transport merchandise! Martinin is right. In all my years I have seen plenty of semis in that area. Not everything is for the 2014 attraction,
  17. Defunct or not, it was still an extremely historic coaster. Historic for all the wrong reasons. KI is wise to distance themselves from any SoB association with the new ride. This is why it will most likely be from B&M who has a great track record of uptime & safety as opposed to Intamin. Imagine if KI did go with Intamin & the ride had to be "modified" a la: WT, Maverick or I-305 or have considerable downtime a la: TTD, KK, or WT? Park goers will immediately mention SoB in the confusion. Yes. Worlds tallest, fastest, and only looping wooden coaster is all the wrong reasons...you make no sence And how did that work out for them?
  18. Really? Sure let's tie in this nice new coaster with a defunct coaster that was problematic from the start, severely injured people, and was in the news for all the wrong reasons. Lets not waste that potential. Defunct or not, it was still an extremely historic coaster. You can have the history. I'll take common sense.

  20. There is nothing wrong with the wheels on Vortex. They are changed on a as needed basis.
