  1. I think it is valid question. Do I think there needs to be a physical ride OP at the top, no. There could be a virtual OP by the means of cameras as others have mentioned. There is only one way to find out for sure. Ride it on April 30th! If this person at the top is watching you ride, you should be able to see them as well right?
  2. I wonder about upgrading from Gold to Platinum. I already have a 2011 Gold pass from KI, but plan on upgrading to the Platinum. I am guessing I have to do that at the park?
  3. I bet it is cold for the guys poking their head out of piece 6 waiting for #7!
  4. So once all the tower pieces are in place, I wonder how long it will it take to get the seats and lifting mechanism working? I know there is only 35 days left, and who knows how many cycles it has to run before humans can ride it.
  5. Another thought could be that it was time to add more railing to the crane to give it more height?
  6. I am guessing they lowered it down due to the storms yesterday. I could be wrong?
  7. I am upgrading my Gold to a Platinum Pass this year so I can take a few trips up to CP with you and Tom! Plus I think I am going to Coastermania as well!
  8. We know KI and the manufacturer considers it a coaster, and (if) the state of Ohio (obviously I don't have proof of this) classifies it as a coaster. Why shouldn't the enthusiasts community consider it a coaster as well? It seems to me that it is just some enthusiasts that are the only ones questioning it's classification. I am enjoying this topic and reading the reasons why others believe the way they do about it. I do wonder though, has anyone on this thread changed their mind about this due to the opinions and cases presented in this thread and others like it? I personally am still going to enjoy the ride experience whether it is classified as a coaster, flat, or horse back ride. See you there on April 30th.
  9. Not sure what was posted on TPR after her original post, but I contacted Paula myself and got a more clear understanding. You can read my post with her reply in the link below my friend! http://www.KICentral...ndpost&p=420463
  10. I picked yes. I do consider it a coaster, although I do see how it can also be considered a flat as well. The definition of Roller coaster: "A steep, sharply curving elevated railway with small open passenger cars that is operated at high speeds as a ride, especially in an amusement park." The manufacturer of the ride considers it a coaster, so I am guessing it is also registered as such with the state. http://www.zamperla....l?category_id=4
  11. I wonder who is buying them? Was this a HW decision and they are purchasing them, or was the Gravity Group not happy with their trains performance and purchased the remaining cars for HW?
  12. Most definitely going to be breathtaking! I saw that pic on my phone at first and did not do it justice compared to on the computer.
  13. One more piece of WS added and we will be out of camera view. That thing is really going up quick now!
  14. IndyGuy4KI replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in KI Polls
Wanna join me at the DB queue?
  15. I like the fact that someone is sticking their head out the top of the already placed pieces!
  16. I am trying to figure out if there are 9 or 10 sections of steel that make up the ride. Plus the cap on top of course, but we won't count that.
  17. Looks like piece 3 has shown up to the WS site. I wonder if they are going to put it on today or tomorrow?
  18. I was thinking maybe they were bring the trains back from winter rehab, but have not seen evidence of trains? Somebody knows, but not I.
  19. KI tweeted that the 2nd piece of WS was making it way to the construction site yesterday. I see it sitting next to racer and looks like they are getting ready to hook it to the crane so they can put it in place! http://www.visitking...bcams/index.cfm
  20. I think I might be a little upset if they do let this go through, just from the competition that it takes out. Although I am sure the right people will receive a big donation from AT&T to get this done.
  21. Even though I made the poll, I never shared my opinion! I picked neutral, for I have Verizon and been very happy with them. Now, if I was a Sprint Customer I think I would be afraid my carrier would be gone in the next 3 to 5 years.
  22. Why are they digging up brand new concrete? Indyguy, very confused! EDIT: Sorry grsmerdel06, we must have been typing that at the same time!
