That would be nice, but since there are no speed lanes for Gold passes this year I am not going to hold my breath on that one! I say it will be gone!

Nice PTR! I love looking at these, I am just not much of a picture taking type of person myself.
-
Maybe they are adding some shade tarps to the last part of the line queue?
-
When do we need to have our shirt purchaced by to get it in time for RWW?
-
I got gas in Shelbyville for $1.79. It was $1.92 by my house. Yeah, I was hoping the SRL would have worked out better, but I still got 2 rides in, and between the 2 rides saved maybe 10 minutes of time?

This is my first PTR so bear with me... We brought our 3 year old son Korbin on 4/26/09 for his first KI trip of the season. I was very excited for he is now tall enough to ride Fairly Odd Coaster, his first wooden coaster. We left the west side of Indy at about 7:15. Stopped and grabbed some breakfast at Hardees. Can I say I don't like those potato "things" they have now. Bring back the hash rounds!!! Jumped on I-74, but stopped in Shelbyville to top off the tank for we only had 1/4 tank when we left. No, I did not plan ahead as far as gas was concerned. We got to the park right at 9:20. For those from Indy, this is awesome time, especially with 2 stops added. I was a little heavy footed, for I wanted to make it to some of the ERT. We headed to DB and I got in the single ride queue at about 9:55. Got on in a few minutes, but by the time I got back to the station it was past 10 and rest of the park guests were in queue. I thought my wife was going to take a turn, but she had already taken Korbin back to Nick U for some rides. I caught back up with them over at Fairly Odd Coaster and Korbin got in 3 rides within about 15 minutes! Here is the family pic on FOC. As you can tell, Korbin seems to love the ride. I think we have another enthusiast on our hands! Korbin rode most of the rides in Nick-U that he could fit on. He loves ridding Swiper's Sweeper. He also wanted to ride a Zebra, not a horse... Here is Korbin and I ridding a Zebra on Nick-O-Round! After several hours over in Nick-U we got hungry and went to the Festhause for lunch. My wife Kim took Korbin on Monster while I jumped on Red Racer. We all rode the Scrambler. We were trying to get Korbin to take a nap but that was not happening. We were getting hot, so we went to Wild Thornberrys to cool off. I told Kim to go ride DB while Korbin and I rode WTB's, but when she went over there they were out of the single ride passes and she did not wait. She then came over and got in line with us at WTB's and we all rode together. It took about 25 minutes to get through that line. Korbin was upset that his pants got wet, for I think he thought he had wet himself. He had to change his pants for him to calm down. We went back to DB and Kim told me to ride. I had to wait about 7 minutes before a ride op brought more passes down. I then waited another 20 minutes to get in the station for there were not many odd number of people in the regular queue. People that got in the regular queue at the same time as me got on the train before me, so sometimes the single rider line is not that much better? I got the very last seat, It was totally awesome. Me and the other guy in the back seat were discussing how wet we were going to get being in that seat. My shirt sleeve and the side of my face got wet, but that was it, a lot less than I expected. After I rode DB, Korbin was starting to doze off so we headed for the front gates. We left around 3:15. Hope you enjoyed my PTR!

I had the same experience the first time I used the pass yesterday. Got in line and off was in the gift shop in 10 minutes. The second time at about 2:30 they were out of the passes, I had to wait about 7 minutes for a pass, then got in line and they pretty much forgot about us, it took about 30 minutes total. This is still not a bad wait, but people that got in the regular line at the same time actually got on before I did. I would agree wait about an hour after opening before getting in line!

At park today and spoke to Don. He said they will be sending out email confirmations this next week. He said there are lots of cool things planned.

I just registered and then saw the post about adding my KIC username to the reistration. I am wondering if they will email and ask me? Did anyone get an email confirmation?

I can't wait to see what everyone has created!! This is going to be fun! -
Hey, I thought that was my idea. I have a twitter account, but don't use it much for I had not had a good use, with facebook and myspace it is hard to keep up. I would use it for this idea though! Here is mine, feel free to follow me, and I will add you! Indyguys Twitter

Unofficial KIC Road Trip
IndyGuy4KI replied to XGatorHead 8904's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I might be able to go, is anyone driving from Indy area? I would be willing to chip in for gas! EDIT: This would be for Friday @ KI. -
True, my son will be able to ride Beastie, Fairly Odd Coaster, or whatever it's called this season. Can't wait to take him, hopefully this Sunday. I am hoping the wife and I can jump on DB single ride line while he and one of us is riding the other flats.

Once the KI Campground closed I stayed at Lake Cozy Dale several times, which is about 20 minutes away. Its main purpose is a fishing lake and it is busiest at night. It might be sort of loud in a tent, but you would not have the issue of them closing up. Their website EDIT: Welcome to KIC pvdfan!!

Holiday World Schedule
IndyGuy4KI replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Thanks for all the tips guys! You are all Awesome!! -
I just got free tickets to Holiday World. I have never been there before, can anyone suggest the best schedule of ride order in the morning, and is there a better time in the day to get in the queue of a certain ride in the park? Thanks for any suggestions!
-
That seems like a cool app, but I have a windows Mobile device. Thanks for that suggestion. I wonder if there are a lot of people with twitter accounts?
-
This is great idea! I want to take it even a step further. I was a little disappointed that I was not able to meet up with some of the groups on Saturday. The second reason I was excited to go to the park, (besides DB) was to get the opportunity to see/meet everyone. Since most people have the web on their phone now, it would be nice to post where we are at in the park at any given time, especially if there is a group together and you want to meet up with them. I don't know if KIC has a tool we could utilize for this besides making a bunch of posts? Maybe there is something is place that I don't know about? We could use something like twitter, but that is using someone else's site? Thoughts?

I just joined and don't have any friends yet. Feel free to add me, I have not gotten far enough to add my personal friends. I am Brad Perdue and I am a member of the KICentral Group!
