  1. Don't feel the desire, for I can't argue with most of them, but please don't hold your breath for any of these! A good question for Apollo, What is a trim brake?
  2. That Too! Thanks Hookboysb!
  3. No reason, I was playing with new toolbar and must not have noticed I changed it.
  4. Interesting news. I hope this is the best for our beloved park!
  5. I wonder if construction has begun on the re theming of PS? I would assume they would have by now. Since we have not seen any updates on the BLOG, FB, or Twitter I am wondering if we will see anything?
  6. I see there is a "view new content" link next to the RSS Feed Icon now. (Close to where it used to be.)
  7. I like the look, but where is the view new posts link? How have others been getting around this?
  8. Hopefully, they will have the rest of the Paramount parks done soon as well. They might be waiting to publish the new site template to all the Paramount Parks at once. In that case, it is going to take some time to get all of them completely functional. I could be wrong, but I hope I am right! It is a more functional site in my opinion.
  9. Posted 12/2/09: Holiday World is looking for a full-time, year-round Roller Coaster Maintenance Technician. Source Page I could not get the download file to work though.
  10. How much does it cost to get into the Zoo there?
  11. Since I am from Indy, like Avatar, I do miss the Gold Pass Lanes. I do like ERT, but if I am taking the family, getting them out of bed and moving to leave the house at 7ish to make it to ERT is hard. Being an enthusiast, if I am coming solo I can't wait to get out of bed to make my trip over for ERT. I don't know if I would want to give up ERT for the Gold Pass Lanes though?
  12. I am hoping they can get the land sold so they can pay off some debt. The faster they can do that, the faster we will see new coaster construction projects happening.
  13. I went with null vote for I have not ridden all these and cannot make an intelligent choice. For KICers I think SOB is the most hated on.
  14. I agree KIfan, I voted for #2 for I would like to see SOB live, but I am not holding my breath for any of these.
  15. Not a problem I did not take offense. I agree getting a recap is always good! I did not understand your response at first.
  16. I rode it ealier in the day of the accident. We did not get back to Action Zone after lunch and left probably about 2 PM. I did not know about the accident till a co-worker asked if I was ok. I had no idea why she was asking. The ride seemed fine to me at the time. Well if you read the report, a few pages back by now, it said that the accident was the result of a one time failure. Versus a failure over time. I take this to mean: the wood snapped causing the injuries. Its not like the wood was slowly breaking away causing a worse ride each time. I believe what the report says, and I am too lazy to go back an quote it, that when one train passed over the section, the wood snapped causing the train to dip. When that train returned and informed the ride ops of the incident, and the rough patch, the ride ops closed the line. However, one train was out on the course and when they rolled over the affected section they dipped and had a worse injury than the first. This was the train, I believe, that had more injuries on it. Since the wood was broke at that time and the train rolled through at speed, it caused the severe injury... Well, you asked "I wonder what really could have gone on wrong between Friday and Sunday." You mentioned your experience a few days before, so I gave mine on the day of. I am not sure why my post caused you to explain everything we had already known from before because that had nothing to do with my post. I was just trying to help you answer your question with my experience on the ride.

  18. Just now got to seeing this TR. The pics are blocked at a certain place I spend most of my time. Thank Angie, I really enjoyed it!
  19. Sounds like we have some of those hidden decepticon Transformers at KI. (Have had to seen Transformers 2 to get this.) In all seriousness, I think it is your sub conscious not wanting SOB to be tore down.
  20. If they sold enough pieces of the wood, that would make a nice down payment on a new woodie to put in it's place.
  21. I have enjoyed the updates Ryan, Thanks!
  22. KI Tweet from http://twitter.com/kingsislandpr - Kings Island, chamber of commerce vow to fight proposed admissions tax http://twurl.nl/tav2ib http://www.pulsejournal.com/entertainment/...tax-394665.html
  23. I talked to my 4 year old this evening, and told him that the place we go ride rides this next year will have Snoopy and Charlie Brown. He was very excited. What is the reaction from your Kidos?
  24. http://www.courierpress.com/news/2009/nov/...-coaster-feel-/ Assuming by "cars" they mean trains, this is the bargain of the century, if the figures are indeed correct. Even that much per train would be a bargain compared to other companies prices. Of course it is possible that Holiday World got a substantial discount by being a previous customer AND taking delivery of the very first Timberliners, but still... Maybe they got a good trade in value out of the old trains? If the new trains load quicker would that not mean you would want another train to load due to them not stacking up as much?
  25. It has been stated many times that the decision would be made in the off season, and that date was NOT going to be Nov 2nd and in my prediction probably not Dec 1st either for that matter. I am sure the recent news has not helped it's chances of survival.
