  1. I mean at least there is a system. It may not be perfect, but what if there wasn't a system?
  2. I agree. Avoiding 1 word posts.
  3. I'll give my POV on these questions even though they've already been answered. Kennywood Q's Is Phantom's Revenge similar to Magnum in terms of roughness? --- I don't consider it rough at all. It is insanely fast and the bunny hops are great! Does Phantom have comfortable restraints? --- Yes! No seat belts and just a lap bar that isn't really capable of stapling (I think). See the picture below from TPR of the restraints. What's so great about Kennywood's wooden coasters? --- They are old, they are fun, they provide unique experiences in my opinion. Thunderbolt, you have to ride with someone because the laterals are so extreme. The drops in my opinion are extremely thrilling. Racer, it's the only Möbius roller coaster in the United States, with 5 existing world wide. Is that Noah's Ark thing supposed to be just for kids or can it be directed toward all ages? --- Nope...it's everyone. I tell you myself and a friend who is 6'9 did this. We thought it would literally be just a Bible Story walk through and as we went through it, we found that it ended up being a fun experience and like a fun house. How long are lines usually for Phantom and Sky Rocket? --- Depends on the day. When I visited, the park was full with school groups, however, Phantom's line was never over a 1/2 hour. We rode Sky Rocket first thing in the morning and then early evening when the line was about 15 minutes. Is there really a "Kenny the Rodent/Bunny/Rabbit" mascot that walks around the park? Because for some reason just by looking at his hypnotizing photo on their park map I have gained this really weird feeling/mysterious destiny that I just HAVE to meet him. Honestly, I didn't see the Kangaroo (I think that's what it is) walking around when there, however I saw the arrow as pictured below with a random dude and the kangaroo? Maybe it's a Jack Rabbit and ? Do they have good food? --- Yes, although expensive. I ate at the same place twice, because I'm not a fan of eating out of the food stalls. I had a salad and tea for lunch, then that evening I had mac n cheese and a drink. (Had a couple other things too) but both meals total cost around $30. Do any rides require a rental locker if you have an item you can't take on to the station/ride because there are no numbered bins? --- I don't honestly remember seeing a ride that didn't have the bins or an area to put items. However, the is always a risk of items being lost, stolen or damaged when in the specific areas for items to be left behind because I saw a lot of them very close to the queue. There are lockers but I didn't catch how much they cost or policy on them. Comparison Q's Which park is generally more crowded on a regular basis? --- I'd say they're about the same. Dollywood does have a lot of older guests who mainly visit the shows and ride queues aren't constantly full. Which is more expensive in terms of food, ticket, and souvenir prices? --- I'd say both are about the same on food. Tickets, Kennywood is a lot cheaper. As far as souvenir prices, I'm not sure because I haven't bought any from either park. Dollywood Q's Is Thunderhead significantly rough? --- Thunderhead is not rough. Millennium Flyer trains are on the track and I feel like I'm sitting on a couch! The ride is fun and provides some airtime but doesn't give the feel of roughness. How good is Tennessee Tornado? Mystery Mine? Wild Eagle? --- Tennessee Tornado is short. However, it is enjoyable. Mystery Mine is probably one of the most unique coaster rides I've been on, as I've only been on one Eurofighter. I enjoy it and it is thrilling. Wild Eagle is alright. It is a B&M so it does gain points that way. After riding Gatekeeper, Wild Eagle isn't my favorite ride. Wild Eagle does give great rides in the 4 corners of the train, but anywhere else, the rides are kind of sub-par. Do they have good food? --- Yes, although please note, Aunt Granny's food is good, yet kind of bland. I had someone tell me they kind of cater to the older crowd when it comes to food, so they don't make the food spicy, buttery, etc. (I don't really know how valid that statement was but I found the food sort of bland). I did stop and get some specialty foods while at Dollywood including Kettle Corn, Cinnamon Bread, etc. and they were amazing. Is their waterpark worth going to? --- I've never been but have been told it's good if you don't visit other water parks enough. Do any rides require a rental locker if you have an item you can't take on to the station/ride because there are no numbered bins? --- Rides do have areas to leave items. You can apply the same statement from Kennywood here.
  4. Puff The Magic Dragon - Kidzbop....yes, heard this in Planet Snoopy.
  5. The lack of seat belts on Flight Deck and Backlot Stunt Coaster.
  6. I noticed it while I was at the park this past weekend, mentioned it to a few people. I was very sad that the tower wasn't lit up like it used to be. I noticed several of the stars only had about 1/2 of the lights working. The music in the area was very low in volume. It doesn't have the same feel it did when it opened.
  7. There is a field off of Western Row.
  8. Expand on this.
  9. Taking pictures and videos on rides are strictly prohibited.
  10. Feel free to either post them here or PM me.
  11. I only got to ride it twice. Sky Rocket is a nice coaster though. Front row is worth the wait!
  12. A kid somehow wiggled out of the restraints and fell. There wasn't a seat belt thus seat belts were added to other rides of the same kind and more.
  13. I am a bit underwhelmed when it comes to the "thrills" at Dollywood. I recently visited Kennywood and loved the park. Phantom's Revenge was great, the wood coasters are all great and I even like Exterminator. The park has some good flat rides as well. The only thing I didn't really like about Kennywood was that purchases in the park were expensive including food. But, that's kinda at every park.
  14. I also remind you all, that you can go to the user's profile and report the user.
  15. Pretty sure it's not. From the manual: There are 3 clicks until it is at it's place to be considered closed. Trust me and Ki Man. We've both handled the restraints countless times in operation and in training (I know for my training, we were showed each click and there are 3 before the train can be dispatched). We have been taught to know how the ride works, what it sounds like, what it feels like, what it shouldn't sound like, what it shouldn't feel like, how the restraints operate manually and automatically, how the restraints feel, sound, etc. End of this discussion with you. To the OP: As far as Diamondback seat sizes, they are all exactly the same. There are no differences. When it comes to the test seat, it's the same exact one as what is on the trains. Having experienced this, when you may need help, you are more than likely in between clicks which require the restraint to be brought down to the next click as the restraint isn't locked properly for operation. Do you have permission from b&m and ki? Can't you get in trouble posting pages of a ride manual on the internet? Big Sexy, enough. First, if you are going to edit your post, put edit there, because what you have done is made me look like I'm discrediting myself. Do I have permission from B&M and KI? No, do I have to? No. When receiving my manuals as stated before there was nothing legally binding me from sharing them. As I also posted, there is nothing in what I posted above that gives specifics of how to operate the ride. It is merely terminology as you'd see via the photos instead of trolling like you are constantly doing and crossing the line with. The terminology in the photos are not B&M and park specific, so what is your issue? Is it the fact that I've actually backed up my statements from earlier in the thread? Is it that you have nothing better to do than try to discredit people when you can't even follow the terms of service?
  16. No, there is nothing in what I posted above that gives specifics of how to operate the ride, nor was there a discretionary clause anywhere when receiving my manual(s).

  18. Mmmmmm. no.
  19. I was on there too ohiocolts! I'm not jealous. I am just frustrated with the reports of it. All I see on the news is negativity and while you know "the riders were safe and got going within __ minutes" it's still negative. How many people may visit the park and not ride ____ because it was on the news that people got stuck which then turns to the story of someone broke their leg, someone fell out, someone died, etc.
  20. Ditto. Three clicks and that's it. This is incorrect. It is actually "two clicks", not three. You sir are incorrect. It is 3 clicks. Chugh43 who has worked the controls during restraint testing/daily operation of Diamondback and couldn't send the train because a restraint or two did not meet the 3 click requirement.
  21. You can find those at https://www.visitkingsisland.com/tickets/#
  22. But in all reality, its just a blurb on the news website. Nothing to start I hate Media campaigns for. Or a backpack dropped on the track?!? Why was it on the ride at all? (I know it's not talking about AE)
  23. Yes, compare the capacity of to Looks like IJST has better capacity, I mean this rocket only has 2 windows. Found this footer near Flight Deck, lol. This one is for Big Sexy, I found some green intamin track at the park and took a picture of it. I can't help but laugh every single time I look at this thread. It is pretty much a joke, so what's posted above this is a joke as well. I'd love to be able to actually find substance in this thread.
  24. Random-ish question....for those who have done this event before at KI, what do you bring with you? I'm trying to determine what is necessary to bring, although I've been to the park numerous times and have worked there, I don't know what to bring for the event. I can figure sunscreen, camera..but beyond that?
  25. I got that one as well. I'm assuming Don is sending us one as well.
