  1. And I couldn't find anything per Warren County's zoning board.
  2. When asked: what do you expect will be the biggest challenge this season at your park, and how will you overcome it? http://content.yudu.com/A24unv/PWApr2013/resources/index.htm?referrerUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fparkworld-online.com%2F
  3. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/rides/LIVE-ENTERTAINMENT/Snoopys-Starlight-Spectacular A nice little walk through at the end of the night.
  4. My favorite place has been in the International Restaurant. Other than there, in Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular area.
  5. I agree SupremoStevo. I will not ride carnival rides. Terpy, I too am confounded that the Cedar Fair tolerates the running of the bulls at rope drop, although during ERT at KI I've seen security tell people to slow down. I still get confused at the people who stuff their children's shoes to make them hit the magic spot to ride a ride, the child gets hurt and the park is 100% at fault in their eyes.
  6. Fortunately, I've got a season pass. Although if I didn't I'd use this deal.
  7. http://vitals.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/05/01/17988578-amusement-rides-hurt-4400-kids-a-year-large-study-finds?lite I found this article interesting. "The likelihood of being seriously injured at a fixed-site amusement park (like Kings Island/Cedar Point) ride in the U.S. about 1 in 24 million." This is a good article, but fails to show that most of the accidents are due to error of the rider/guest. The article talks about slips, falls, concussions, etc. occurring, but doesn't talk about how they occur. Those that abide by the rider safety laws, are less likely to have an injury. Those who try to get their kids to be taller so they can ride, try to force kids to ride, etc. are more than likely going to have some kind of accident happen.
  8. I'm sure that you can use the cups still, just not get the discount for the $.99 or the $1.99. The souvenir cups, are a limited time special (yearly) meaning they're redesigned each year.
  9. Maybe because you were up before the sun had fully risen. But yeah. I'm at the point where I want to hear a 100% answer. Is it going to open or isn't it? If it is, what's going to happen exactly? I may be a bit too impatient.
  10. I think it will be great once the fountains are upgraded. I hope that they don't paint the bottom black. I hope that they keep the original "relaxing" feel to them, but I also hope that they put on a good show too.
  11. I find KD bizarre that when I was walking on the right side of International Street, I wanted to turn right after being half way (in relation to KI, where the first entrance into Planet Snoopy would be) but I couldn't because that was a backstage area. I thought it was odd that at the half way point on I.S. on the left side you'd hit up Dominator, Berserker and that was basically it. Just not a fan of the layout.
  12. I'd say KI because the atmosphere at KD is totally weird. It's hard to put a finger on it. They layout at KI is much better in my opinion. However, KD has a little bit better of a ride selection.
  13. Not the First Public Riders.....because truly any of the media day riders/G.P./First Ride Auction riders/first riders on Opening Day are not the true first riders...you've got the Manufacturer Reps that have ridden it, park officials who have ridden it, ride hosts who have ridden it, etc. So it's never really "fair."
  14. I never understood, why the park didn't rent out the park the weekend prior to opening.
  15. The signs also remind me of the Son of Beast Premier trains. Anyone else?
  16. I can confirm that WindSeeker in Virginia is operating. Which makes me wonder how much longer for the remainder of the rides to operate.
  17. I know that Mr. Ouimet has said Kings Island is on his "radar." while he was at the plant where Gatekeeper was being built.
  18. Although I find it odd that WindSeeker wasn't open today, as Kings Dominion's is fully operating. Thanks for your update Jdawg
  19. Dan. Lol. However, Don does assist Cedar Point and other parks in their PR/Marketing Departments when asked. I remember he helped break the news about Goldstriker at CGA.
  20. I only voted for Soak City as I've never been to the Beach.
  21. The park has constantly stated that only the current years cups are eligible for refills and the deals. I have a cup from Italian Job Stunt Track, the ride still exists, but does that automatically mean I can re-use it? They great thing about cups, is you can use them at home, you can sell em at yard sales, you can store things in them, you can display them, etc. I wouldn't say they're useless. Guest Relations will tell you that you can only use the current cups for the $1.99 refill.
  22. I keep forgetting that Kinzel is on the board of directors. Seems like Cedar Fair is in a tight spot, pleasing someone on the board and pleasing someone who is ordered back to work after being "wrongfully terminated."
  23. They possibly may take the Eiffel Tower. In all seriousness, they could possibly take the banner frames in AZ, but we'll cross the bridge of them taking anything from KI when we get there.
