Overall, like you said, not much of a change. I do however miss the days of the rides and attractions being labeled by number, thus showing more detail generally to the rides/attractions on the maps.

We as members of KIC do not have this data. The park probably won't share it as they don't even share the number in attendance each year. The park General Manager is the one who was looking at doing this program per his tweet about a year and a half ago, putting "feelers" out there to see if people would be interested in doing so. I think it ended up not having the participation that the park wanted. Compare it to the KIC shirts, we had several people vote for what size they wanted, then we've put them up for sale, how many have actually bought them so far? Translate that to Fun Perks.....how many people said they'd be interested in a "perks" program and how many people actually participated? (Rhetorical question).

I agree. I find it kind of odd that Falfas was ordered back to work under a new administration. What would the current COO, Richard A. Zimmerman do since Falfas would be ordered to go back to his position? Would he be let go of his duties?

It's a different Cedar Fair than when Falfas was "let go." I think Ouimet will do whatever is in the best interest of the company, that will give the company the best publicity.

Not sure if it's a Six trademark or whatnot, but I'd love to see a book of coupons from the pass issuing park like Six Flags does. Edit: I will also say that some of the FUNPerks offers weren't well received. I did one last season, of using IR for a place to cool off with snacks and soda, a catered meal from like 3-5ish (whenever you wanted to show) and then a spot to view the fireworks that evening. I saw myself, the 2 others in my group and maybe 3 passholders take part of this deal. While it did have an overhead cost, wasn't free, it was still an amazing offer.

I guess I should have been a bit more clear in my if Pat would not be in any commercials it may deter me from coming. I meant that if I were a GP member that visited the park often and to suddenly see that Pat wasn't going to be in any commercials and to see the news of Eckert saying she wouldn't be in any of them, would deter me. People like what they know. It's been proven time and time again in various park situations. But you are correct, Pat is getting old. Sooner or later she won't be there. That's why I cherish the small memories I have of her and have these wishes that she were a part of the commercials and the park as she was. As Terpy said, having Eckert spin this as a positive thing, is a bit distasteful.

To not see Pat Koch in any commercials would deter me from coming in all honsety. When I first met her a few years ago, she literally made me feel like a part of her family. She knew that I was from Ohio and had never been to the park before. Throughout the day, as I passed her and Dan on the midways, she would stop whatever she was doing to see if I was having a good day at the park! Such a sweet lady! I sure hope she's at the park this year, even if I don't visit.

It was painted a couple of years ago. If I were to pick, I'd say Racer and Firehawk.

These are essentially the same shades that WindSeeker's have at Cedar Point and Kings Island. I'm not sure if there is a "better design" or not. I prefer this style just for the fact that they do give a break from the sun while waiting in line, but there isn't a total blockout of the sun, making the queue feel confining.

Better than nothing, ala, Skyrush's queue at Hersheypark.

While I hope the trainer is alright, the way it happened was kind of funny. As for being in the water, I want to say that I remember something being said that they could be back in the water but not with Tilikum.

Sweet, good to know! I will be there too, and repping Coaster Crew for Media Day. Going up Wed night, staying for Media Day, staying Friday for OSU Day, and then leaving Saturday after ERT before the stupid-crowdedness commences. I'll be there as well, repping Coaster Crew and CPfansite. Hope you have fun! No set plans yet. I'd like to head up Weds. night and get to the park for the start of the media events, and I have Friday off work just in case I'm inclined to stay for OSU day on Friday... which I know I already want to go to but I'll have to talk to the wife about that first! Can't wait to see you Gator! I'd say stay for OSU day, Jared and I will be there!

I highly doubt that Hart would allow for any activies that "happened" (I use quotations because I don't remember hearing about any of them until recently and/or ever) with his business frame of mind (bad publicity = bad business). Here is the kicker though...Kings Island, Cedar Point and other parks are hands-off babysitters, sometimes for uncontrollable kids, and trouble makers. Think about it, how many times at the park do you see a group of kids between the ages of 10-15 by themselves? I saw it a ton while working at the park. I've seen numerous kids trying to start fights because someone "line-jumped them." I've seen a ton of kids placing graffiti at the parks by carving into fence posts, queue line rails and decorations, sticking their gum on walls, etc. When someone tries to stop them, generally late teens, employees, adults, the kids run their mouths trying to cause trouble, trying to act like the big man of their group, etc. The kids do not have any respect, anywhere no matter the park, so I wouldn't say it's an isolated thing at KK. If the things are true, that is truely tragic and should not have been that way, but as I said, the operator of the park is at fault....not the park itself. I truly believe the success of parks comes from various resources..but one resource is the consumers/visitors/guests/etc. When they take pride in their park, how it's operated instead of harping on how things used to be and when they start looking at how the park can grow by what they do while at the park, things are going to be a bit better. When it comes to reopening KK, if there is constant doubt and negativeness from the get-go, those people will only see the bad. It's all about perspective.
