Looking forward to a visit on Saturday.

YESSSSSS!!! I love Tilt-A-Whirls!

Thank you for finally answering my questions. There are many I see here on social media that are so bent on having a coaster reuse that station and I really don't understand what the park would have to gain from doing that. As far as foot traffic to The Bat? I'm pretty sure it gets enough foot traffic. Last year there were several times, I turned around because the line was too long and the ride was still in operation.

Wow...you're old! I stand corrected.
-
I think that having SOB in the Banshee Teaser was amazing. I think it really shows that anything related to the ride would be no more.
-
I would think they could convert a space for that. I mean I don't think/know if they keep the animals for the petting zoo out all night especially when the park is closed.

I can somewhat agree. I enjoyed riding the train, but it was extremely hard to even make out half of the lights as they were either too close to the train or on the wrong side of the train (depending on where you sat).

2018 Additional Events Announced

As much as I love that Haunt, I hope that it's gone and that the theater can begin to be used again...especially since it is (or was) air conditioned. -
In the previous versions of WinterFest, pass holders still had to pay to visit WinterFest. The perk being they don't with this version.

I didn't say it would have any bearing on what the park is going to do. I said it in response to: I ruled it out based on business decisions I've seen in the past few years out of the company. I'm aware that the park has reused a station before...but that was prior to Cedar Fair taking over. Rougarou, TT and Steel Vengeance being the exceptions that I can think of, off the top of my head, are/were retrofits of the previous ride/using the previous structure/track. Anyway..... @Hawaiian Coasters 325 can you answer these questions? Can I ask something? This isn't just for you either....anyone can answer. Why do you want the park to use the old SOB station for a new ride? What is so important about it that would make it need to happen especially when there are other areas in the park that a ride station could be placed?
-
And your point is? That is Six Flags. CF and SF do business completely differently...thankfully for us.

You still didn't answer my questions. With a theory in mind, you can try to justify the numerous ways it'd work, but just because someone thinks it could work, doesn't mean that it would/will. You may see that it looks like there is plenty of room, but doesn't mean there is. While there may be space directly around the station (where the former break run for SOB was), there is little to no room outside of the SOB station bubble. You'd have to have track over The Bat and Banshee, especially to access that big field. Even then, you have the vehicles from both rides be able to move within the clearance envelope without striking anything. I've ruled it out 100%...it just doesn't make business sense nor does it make logistical sense. Who's post was it on Instagram? If it was something don't you think it would have had much bigger response than a mention of it (by you now) since May of last year? They likely were planning for Haunt if they were truly from Cedar Fair (did they have name tags? CF full timers still wear name tags). What would be the purpose of surveying the station for a new coaster when they have the blue prints and building specs already on property? As far as nods to the massive woodie that SOB was....we've already got one, an eternal flame. It's dead and will always be. No need to keep trying to remember it in different ways.

I would love a to spin to return to But, I agree a top spin would be amazing. I love top scans. That'd be great. A ferris wheel would be a great addition, but if it were to come, I'd hope and pray that it would be a longer cycle than Kings Dominion's and would be an easy loader.

Can I ask something? This isn't just for you either....anyone can answer. Why do you (or anyone) want the park to use the old SOB station for a new ride? What is so important about it that would make it need to happen? I highly highly doubt it'll ever be used again for a coaster for a couple of reasons: 1- It'd have to be retrofitted for a new coaster...where the track goes, would have to be altered significantly depending on the type, the air gates would have to be re-installed and likely the mechanics and entirely new safety features. Not to mention the cost to renovate would likely cost more than a brand new station. 2- the clearance envelope...while most don't see it, there has to be a certain amount of clearance from The Bat and Banshee.

Carowinds did use part of their water park for carriage rides. I could see KI doing that. We could see KI amending the schedule later like they did last year with specific times.

Cool story? The link King Ding Dong shared talks about the different models and how it works. I shared that with my phone I have not had the issue. I didn't ask for a clarification on what you've heard.

My opinion may have come because it was after Christmas, however, I was hopeful it was going to be a gorgeous event. I was blown away by how awful their "300 foot Christmas tree looked." Half of the lights didn't work and/or weren't in sequence with each other. The radius of the tree made it laughable. Their Snowflake Lake area was underwhelming. I will say Carowinds had more "displays" set up, not necessarily lights but little scenes. Here are pics of their event that will help me explain my opinion: One of the little displays outside of Harmony Hall Snowflake Lake lacked spectacle. This was pretty cool.... This area had dancing lights, but a lot of the lights looked like they were just thrown on the trees. Another little display....though this one was lit. \ Harmony Hall with bare minimum lighting. Felt very eh. Sections of lights on the 300 foot tall Christmas tree would be out at random times...lacked spectacle. Candy Cane Lane - more on this later...but wasn't very Candy-Cane-y. The lights looking into the kids area didn't have a "wow" factor. The entrance plaza was quite bland. Although, the lights on the buildings helped a little. County Fair had a lot of lights, partially from the year-round lights. Nothing really spectacular though. Candy Cane Lane --- the candy canes were like ours at KI....in both places they felt like an after thought, especially when it came to decorating/lighting them. The flood lights at Carowinds really diminished the true "red and white" color pallet. I may be biased, but I just think KI did a lot better job of lighting the park and the various sections of the park.

You also have to remember, when asking about Cedar Point being an hour.....CP has many resorts that offer ERT for the guests....if they all came in at a 1/2 hour before park open, it'd be filled with extremely long waits (although some days it can be for the full hour anyway). They also have most major coasters on ERT and various flats.
-
I am the complete opposite with your feelings on Carowinds. I was completely let down aside from the area near Ricochet. I was blown away by the lights throughout the park, hoped for more, but hopefully that'll come this year. I partially think Carowinds may have looked better because everything at Carowinds is so condensed.

I have not had this issue and I have an iPhone 7.
-
Correct and agreed. I just don't see them using an existing building....the cost to renovate such a building would likely be more expensive than building ground up.

Too bad that Action Theater is not only used for a haunt, but as well as technical services.

It was one hour for a season, maybe 2...but yeah.
