This may sound funny, but do they put pulled pork on it, or do they just BBQ some Bacon and put it on?
-
It is kind of lame. Other CF parks, only gave one entree for the meal plan, so maybe it's now streamlined and came down from above. Either way, I'll still get it and I'll still be saving a heck of a lot of money by using my dining plan.

That makes me happy. I mean, I'd be happy at KI even if it rained.

@pianoman the Panda listing makes me sad. I loved my 2 entrees. lol I'm glad they have finally updated this. Has anyone had the BBQ Bacon Grilled Cheese from Tom + Chee? I tried the basic grilled cheese last year and it was just eh. I need more flavor haha.

Are go pros allowed on rides if secured?
Creed Bratton replied to Tera Ryzing's topic in Kings Island
They are absolutely not allowed on the ride. Those who have filmed while on rides are technically breaking the law per the ORC unless they were given specific permission from the park (and not just a ride operator saying "it's fine). KIC would not endorse doing so nor would the park. Those caught trying to secure a camera on a ride can and likely will be removed from the park without a refund and/or could be banned from the park. -
Best B&M collection?
Creed Bratton replied to SonofBaconator's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
New Jersey's Finest Theme Park aka Six Flags Great Adventure I voted for that as well. Nitro, Bizzaro and even Green Lantern are worth it. -
There are a lot of places that Skyline isn't local throughout Ohio as well. But, the market near me (the Columbus region) is highly under saturated with Skyline.

Some of the names are the names of Mr. Kinzel's kids.

So as I've been looking at Steel Vengeance updates, I've realized that Kings Island is lacking at a theming element for something. It's not necessarily a good or bad thing, so I can't really say it's a nitpick for sure. I guess it could just be an observation. But with some coasters at Cedar Point, they've given the trains specific names. Steel Vengeance has: Blackjack, Digger and Chess. Maverick has Brett, Brent, Ben, Beau, Bart and Sam. Kings Island has lacked this theming element with their additions since Cedar Fair took over, with Firehawk (Red and Yellow), Diamondback (Green, Red and Brown), Banshee (Blue, Green and Purple) and Mystic Timbers (Blue, Green and Orange)....I may not have called them by their direct hue name, oops. As I said, not really a nitpick, more of an observation. I mean who wouldn't want Dennis Spiegle named coaster train?

There really isn't a typical. Last year was the first year they opened it up to all pass holders...in which the weather was great, we had a new ride and it was really well attended...a bit too well attended. The years prior, it had lower crowds due to restrictions on renewing pass holders only. This year...weather seems to be good, but not a new ride....it may or may not be busy.
-
It's a bit of every department. Those signs that popped up at Mystic Timbers at toward the end of last year as well as the theming in the station, wasn't provided by Holovis and Daniels Wood Land....there were park employees from the sign department, those who do graphic design for the park, the rides department was involved as well. Management (in various departments) had to give permission.

Cedar Point changes for 2018
Creed Bratton replied to Creed Bratton's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Not sure if this is a change or not, but saw this on CP's website....would be interesting if KI had something like this (although this is more of a hey plan your days at the park while staying at Breakers and buy our upcharges ). https://www.cedarpoint.com/vacation/suggested-itineraries/ride-warriors -
As a pass holder, I did and I would wait. I can go back, I don't have to jam pack my trips to ride every thing 3019023 times before I leave (okay that number is a little un-realistic lol). But, yeah....if I've paid for FunPix, I want my picture from my ride, I'll wait.

They worked, it just took forever for the kiosk to receive the pictures, roughly 2-4 cycles.

Enquirer: Ranch cotton candy is now a thing at Kings Island
Creed Bratton replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I wouldn't mind trying it....don't think I'd be able to eat it all though. -
Poor Michigan's Adventure!
-
They had an on-ride photo and video before FunPix...from what I gather, it didn't really sell many items, so they ended up removing the systems and I wouldn't be surprised if the camera has been moved.

I could get behind that. A little touch of paint does wonders.

WCPO: When the Timberwolf was the soundtrack of summer
Creed Bratton replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I just wonder, if small parks like Elitch Gardens can do mid-range popularity act concerts, why cant KI at Timberwolf? https://www.elitchgardens.com/entertainment/concerts2017/ -
@Shaggy that's honestly quite interesting to think about.

Welcome to KIC! I don't believe you can use the drink pass to get a bottle of water, although you are able to get water from any of the machines and they do have non soda options. I don't drink soda but use the paper cup option to get Tea, Hi-C, Powerade Zero and Lemonade. I don't know if they have craft beer, but there are a few stands that sell alcohol.

The track is still there sticking out on at least one side of the station.
-
So you think. No matter how many dedicated threads, someone will still use other threads to bring up said topics.

I will say it looks more promising than it did before. It was supposed to snow this weekend near Columbus, but now it's going to be Monday. I'm just looking forward to being at KI no matter the weather.
