The Crypt "plaza" aka queue line entrance.

Leave it to some to make something out of nothing. Remember a certain user was pretty positive we were getting a Skywarp this year.

Seeing the clown band at KD was amazing.

Or they could just be adding in drainage pipes.

There's a difference in speculation and claiming construction is happening. There's a difference in calling the dig site a major clearing and looking at it for what it actually is...a removal. I have seen so much crap talk coming toward fans of KI, because of the "we deserve a giga/ a giga is next" mentality. I'm tired of being lumped up with it.
-
But has said live cams ever been on the former Dino's site since the 2017 season? Sometimes a fence is just a fence. It's not all exclusively in that area...the removal of trees has been all over. Not trying to discount anything new, because none of this topic is new and there isn't any full out construction that can be deemed as construction. There are folks who see a pink ribbon somewhere in the park and their instant thought is "GIGA CONFIRMED."
-
Has anyone seen said bulldozers? The fence that's there...hmmm maybe it's there to keep people out of an area that they are not staffing, nor do not need people in. There have been many trees removed throughout the park over the past few years due to this...but some folks will believe it's only in that area because that's where they want a giga to go. There's a difference between reality and theories. If someone believes something so much, any little thing that changes can support a theory.

I've updated my list from what I've accomplished so far. I did have to change one item though. Night Ride on Firehawk Ride The Bat at night (I've ridden at dusk, but I've not done a true night ride) Ride Congo Falls Ride Race For Your Life Charlie Brown Ride White Water Canyon Play more arcade games Play at least one midway game Ride Slingshot Ride Xtreme Skyflyer See Off The Charts (Didn't see it in the past) See Jump! The Ultimate Dog Show (mainly to see a show in the International Showplace Theatre, haven't done that in a long long time) Get FunPix picture taken at the front of the park with a stranger and/or an entire family. Watch the fireworks from the Eiffel Tower Watch the fireworks from International Street Have a fireworks ride on WindSeeker (Had one at the first Coasterstock and it was a blast!) Ride Boo Blasters and don't attempt to get any points Visit Soak City more Ride Woodstock Whirlybirds (because why not?) Spend a bit of time in the evening before park close on International Street Eat at Subway with my dining plan (because Subway is expensive outside of the park) Sample all of the fudge flavors at Sweet Spot Get at least one new flavor of the Cotton Candy from Sweet Spot (I had to update this, because they aren't giving samples...but a friend bought me the ranch cotton candy). Spend a day at the park with my phone in the locker or car Feed the fish in the Oktoberfest Pond Meet at least 15 people from KIC that I don't already know Split a big funnel cake with toppings with friends Get a picture with each of the Peanuts costumed characters (those of you on here who are character escorts, make this happen please )

Good lord....trees likely have been removed due to decay and the emerald ash borer.....that "big clearing" behind the red maintenance barns are where the dino dig site was.

Best Intamin Collection
Creed Bratton replied to Tera Ryzing's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
As much as I love Great Adventure, 2 of the 3 Intamin coasters in the park are not amazing by any means. Skull Mountain isn't much to write home about and Kingda Ka is rough. El Toro is probably the best Intamin I've been on. Hershey's Intamins are okay...Skyrush is more eh than anything. The layout is good, but the pain caused by the restraints makes the ride less than fun. -
I have a spreadsheet I plug everything into. While in park, I type the info into my phone "notes" and then translate it to the spreadsheet when I get home.

I do keep track of what I get, where I get it from and how much it says on the board. Last year, my meal plan expenses were $474.53. I consumed 41 meals which averages out to about $11.57 a meal. I believe I paid about $129.00 for the meal plan last year, which means I truly saved $345.53 I'll be interested to see what it ends up being this year as well.
-
Personally, I have enough food for me when getting a meal with my dining plan. I'd rather pay for it all up front than $15 here and there, especially with the amount of times I visit a park. I don't follow the other CF parks food department enough to know the changes between years (aside from CP)...but it's still worth it to me.

Good to see The Bat testing.

Are go pros allowed on rides if secured?
Creed Bratton replied to Tera Ryzing's topic in Kings Island
Some do, some don't. I wish he didn't. -
I work with kids on a day to day basis, no thanks

I don't understand why people want to continue making povs on rides that you can pull up on YouTube and see that there is several videos of the one that they would want to film. -
I did that a few times last year
-
You literally are questioned why the discussion turned into a giga manufacturer thread.....
-
I had to pay for my cornbread pudding as an extra side I demand a refund!
-
Because this is a Giga Speculation thread? Until we have concrete evidence that a Giga is coming, this pretty much will have conversations talking in circles, because there really isn't much else to talk about (we are lacking construction that we know of, we're lacking any teasers that we know of, etc.). Even if we are certain we're getting a giga, we'll be talking in circles about it until all of the information is released. Even then, we probably will still talk in circles about ways that the design could have been improved, the ride could have went elsewhere, etc. It's an online forum....there's bound to be a lot of hot air. If it's bothering you so much, take a break.

So I thought it'd be fun to do a bucket list for Kings Island, specifically in 2018. On things I want to do whether I've done them or not in the past. Post yours as well if you'd like. Update as you complete things and/or add more if you find something else you want to do. Here's mine in no particular order: Night Ride on Firehawk Ride The Bat at night (I've ridden at dusk, but I've not done a true night ride) Ride Congo Falls Ride Race For Your Life Charlie Brown Ride White Water Canyon Play more arcade games Play at least one midway game Ride Slingshot Ride Xtreme Skyflyer See Off The Charts (Didn't see it in the past) See Jump! Spend a bit of time in the evening before park close on International Street Eat at Subway with my dining plan (because Subway is expensive outside of the park) Sample all of the fudge flavors at Sweet Spot Try all of the cotton candy flavors at Sweet Spot Spend a day at the park with my phone in the locker or car Feed the fish in the Oktoberfest Pond Meet at least 15 people from KIC that I don't already know Split a big funnel cake with toppings with friends Get a picture with each of the Peanuts costumed characters (those of you on here who are character escorts, make this happen please ) I'm sure there is more, but I'll add to it as I think of it. So again, what's your 2018 Bucket List?

Awesome, thanks I'll have to try that.
