Right....I mean if I want to donate to that charity, I'll do it on my own dime, on my own will. As petty as it sounds, I don't want some unknown person to me, to make a donation with my money (doubtful it'd would be on my behalf). I hate to say it, but I don't feel like this guy is very well educated on the property, the history (of the post-Geauga Lake days) and the overall world of the area. It'd make sense if he were proposing to open a park like Geauga Lake elsewhere. I don't know him personally, haven't looked into him either, but I doubt his background is in building/running amusement parks. I'd think about giving money to someone who has a history of reviving/building amusement parks, but not to some random guy on the internet who thinks it's a good idea.

I don't think I'd be okay with the $ not really having a plan if not getting enough. Sure, it could go to a charity, but who's to say the charity isn't his pocket?

Seeing as Flying Ace is primarily a ride for kids (though a family ride)...I don't think it'd work. Maybe if the ride were elsewhere in the park. Even then... no VR period in the park.

A shorter walk could be added...or more entertaining walk (audio resembling bat noises could work). I don't think there's really anything that could be added. I don't think most would see a lighting package...I know I haven't really been over to The Bat after dark, so I'm not sure how many folks are actually over there to see it. I don't think on ride, it'd add much to it.

2nd Generation Trains...sure I could see it happening, and I'd welcome that. VR....hard no. Hard pass.

I think the cams that they currently are using are static. I'd like to see web cams like Cedar Point has, where they are able to be moved to view pretty much any location.

At one point I believe there was an International Street web cam. Would love to see it back as well.

To be fair, KI doesn't list X-Base on the map. It's considered a part of Coney Mall.

But you were pretty sure we were getting a Skywarp this season weren't ya? Don't forget about 2018 where 4 major coasters (respectively) for the parks are being built. Also what happened in the past isn't guaranteed to be the way it'll happen in the future. We also have a new head of the company. Things can and will change.

I totally agree with that @Arrow.

Rivertown is our town! When I worked at the park, my home was Rivertown. It will always be. But DB, Beast and Mystic are enough for me to decide this even if I hadn't worked in this section of the park.

I guess I'm not understanding why they need to announce anything, especially a restaurant. Yes, CP announced it to 800 guests at a private event and then announced it to the rest of the world, but KI is not CP. I despise the "it'll help with season pass sales and attendance. It'll help create buzz" ideas...pretty sure Kings Island has no issues with either of those things without an announcement. If it's such a big deal, that someone hasn't heard exactly what is happening at this point, maybe it's time to step aside from the computer/device and go out side for a little bit.

Why did CP announce and KI hasn't? Because CP has been having a big event this time of year for the past several years where information is released. It's not like they said, stay tuned for our 2018 additions.....find out on Feb. 27th at __ am. They literally just posted information they already gave away and that those in attendance for WCO had already been talking about.

I'd assume it'd be the same style of music, but I'd encourage you to see if you can give suggestions before the park opens.

Iron Dragon is returning. Likely doing work on that piece of rail. In the presentation, they announced that VR would be back for Iron Dragon in 2018 on the same schedule as last year.
