Great responses everyone! I have yet to really think about what I would think if Paramount still owned the park.

Visit Orlando in 2020....or 2021...or 2022...or whenever they decide to open it.

Saw a similar thread on another website...thought it would be interesting to bring it over here. What do you think Kings Island would look like today if Paramount had not sold the parks? If the park operated as it did in the 90's and early 2000's, what would that look like from 2006 to today? Feel free to include the other Paramount parks if you'd like. What would the park look like in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017?

There are brown/tan pavers in that area.

That just looks like wet pavement. If there were flooding, we'd be seeing the water throughout the Diamondback queue and other lower parts. I also just watch a truck drive through that area without any issue.

Piggy backing on that, the only link on the home page, is for historical photos which doesn't show the entire gallery. Would be great to have this as a link on the home page and within the forums: https://KICentral.com/photos/

Can't believe they filled Sunlite pool already! They're ahead of the game!

That's a fair response. When it comes to pushing innovation, I think it's a great thing, just wish that there would be more error proofing before release. I also believe the trend has been more about family rides vs roller coasters with the major companies, aside from Six Flags that just kinda does random rides and/or RMC conversions.

Because most US parks aren't willing to pay for it and have a ride with a significant amount of downtime

CP technically has 3 kids areas, not necessarily busy most of the time. I would still say visit KI.

Closure of Dinosaurs Alive and opening of lots of land.

Just looking through KI's YouTube channel, thought I'd share these 5 videos: -

In reality, so does CP's train....just depends on if you get off or not
-
As far as shows, nothing has been released as of yet. I agree @Maverick44, I love Boneville. Probably no surprise, but I love that there is very minimal spieling on CP's train. KI's route is great, it needs less spieling and more viewing opportunities.

They are good, but I don't think they are that good. I'd rather have a more unique ride than a copy cat every (Six Flags) park I go to.
-
I completely agree with this (I believe CP needs the same too)....I like that they've put pavers in areas...just need more! I'd love to see more small fountains throughout the park, it wouldn't hurt.
-
You know how many they'd have to get out? I'd hope not everyone tried to redeem on the same day

I've found myself while on duty this past week after school has let out, yelling down the hall: "all clear!" (Ensuring we had no additional bus students left in the halls)

He's not the only one
-
Not to mention rainy, but do they have the full man power right now like they did during set up?
-
Not gonna lie, it'd be fun to wear those shirts @Xdog42 around the park without the official KI logo, but a simple "logo" that says Kings Island just to get people talking.

Cedar Point changes for 2018
Creed Bratton replied to Creed Bratton's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
The answer is yes. I think a campground would be great and I also think that a lodge/cottages/etc. would be nice to have as well. -
Look at Kings Dominion's front gate: Source To me, this is the most bland looking entrance that I've seen at a park. Doesn't give you the element of surprise as KI does. I will say I agree with you in the idea of the building needs something done (an updated look).

Cedar Point changes for 2018
Creed Bratton replied to Creed Bratton's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
With Cedar Fair investing in this, maintaining other campgrounds on other properties....could we see KI investing in a new campground?
