  1. What happened to the GCI everyone was pretty sure was going to happen like last week? #Nuts
  2. I want to say those lights have been on intermittently in the past couple of years. I've looked down while on WindSeeker and noticed they were on and remember seeing them on opening weekend. Either way, those lights look cool...they'd look better with a flat there though.
  3. Who determined it was a mistake by adding a GCI instead of a ground up RMC? Doing that on Monday is the quickest way to become that guy and/or being asked to leave the park. Why would CP listen to some random *** dude yelling "Intamin" on the premier of their brand new RMC roller coaster and then decide oh yeah, that's a good idea, let's do it. Wow.
  4. Looks like we'll be getting a suspended coaster based on that picture and evidence provided
  5. Upon further looking at Google Earth, the area in question (per OVC's video) looks like part of the bone yard where as of last year there was already a red shipping container (which is what it looks like there are multiple of in the OVC video).
  6. Great article! While long, it was an excellent read. I've not seen any story go so in depth.
  7. If those are buildings, they'd be new....although to me, they look like red shipping trailers with a few roof frames on top of them. The way to find out if there were dorms being built is if you look for building permits. I don't think Kings Island has enough international workers to really need dorms, especially with the amount of employees they get locally.
  8. Coney Potato Works had Gluten Free Chicken Fingers...those were amazing. Random question: Does anyone know if you go to KI during the day and get a meal and then drive up to CP for the rest of the day....are you able to get 1 meal or 2?
  9. I'm not a big red meat eater, so if anything I know I'd eat the chicken tenders. I need to eat there at least once.
  10. It doesn't matter when they have it, if people want to attend, they'll attend. Cedar Point has Point Fest in September....and it is extremely well attended. The park goes from way busy to walk ons once the concerts start. The issue I think that most here have with Spirit Song is that even though the concerts are going on, the concert attendees don't spend much time in Timberwolf and the park is considerably busy due to that. If it were moved to later in the year and in the SC parking lot it'd just be better.
  11. Read the other posts before bud....it's been suggested or brought up the idea of holding it later in the year.
  12. I can honestly say I can't remember a time in recent years that I've been able to actually get in there. It's one of those debates: do I go, wait in line, get food and potentially not like it? Maybe one of these days when the line isn't too long.
  13. I would agree with this and would support it. I feel like at CP for Point Fest, those who are going to it, actually spend time at the concerts vs those at KI for SongFest. When I've been in park on SongFest day, I've seen more folks in the park than in Timberwolf. At CP the crowd drastically dies down once concerts start. Although, that may be due to Halloweekeends as well.
  14. @Thrill_Biscuit you could always sell unofficial KI related shirts
  15. When has food anyone has ever gotten looked like the pictures ;-) As far as Reds, I had the chicken sandwich opening weekend and I loved it. Not necessarily this year, but I've noticed the Saratoga Chips over the past couple of years have really never been consistent, even within single orders (for example, I had some really crispy and some rubbery opening weekend...although they were good overall). @NoChickens and @Mrs. No Chickens got one of the new burgers and loved it on opening weekend.
  16. I agree to an extent. Not necessarily an explosion of light, but something like they used to with fireworks: Logistically the area is kind of small to be able to do that from where they do the lighting ceremony.
  17. So what is on your real list? You aren't this trashy
  18. Yeah I'm kind of disappointed the $10 and under store is gone. Hopefully there will be more clearance racks located throughout the different shops.
  19. And yet last year, I had 2 drink plans on my pass, even though I paid for one.... weird.
  20. It will be on your pass...you will have to set up an account. The FunPix booth inside of the park can help you out in getting all set.
  21. You can purchase a bring a friend ticket on the website for $42...it's under the "season passes" menu when looking for ticket types.
  22. Eh, I don't know if this is a good practice for us to do. 1) Coaster Clubs aren't always "sources" 2) This can turn really ugly really quick.
  23. It was quiet all the way around I-Street and throughout the park. Friday we were in Rivertown and it wasn't too incredibly loud. As we approached I-Street it was about the same level if not quieter. Either way, I'm glad it's fixed.
