  1. Canada's Wonderland is a park where I always suggest purchasing a Fast Lane Plus.....no matter the day you go, it's busy.....the park is at the end of a bus line, so a lot of folks just get on the bus and head to the park. I've witnessed this park at various points during the year. I would say the $499 season is not out of the realm of the park. I honestly thought it'd be much more.
  2. Flight Deck at Canada's Wonderland is one of the worst coasters lol.
  3. The Bat never has a wait? That must be why I've turned around 1/2 way to the ride because I really didn't want to wait 30+ min for the ride. The Bat is more popular than you think. There has generally always been a conversation here that lines don't equate popularity.
  4. No....no...no.....the walk back there is already long enough....we don't want the wait to be even longer while they try to get VR situated and secured for the ride.
  5. I'd assume it's hard for the park to recruit servers on a seasonal basis where they hardly get tipped (those on meal plans often forgot or didn't care about tipping their server) and that they would have to go find another serving job for 5 months or so. There is a ballroom on I-Street? Whoa!
  6. That arcade was not open during the normal season last year....there were and are zero games in that building.
  7. I've stayed near the airport before for Kennywood/Pitt...not bad at all...kinda better that way.
  8. It's an interesting ride....I quite enjoy it. It's a spinning mouse inside a box. Expect jerky turns and spinning should your car be loaded right. Note that the car is pretty much in continuing motion while loading. Expect to be a bit disoriented.
  9. Just know you need a rider with you for Thunderbolt or a ride op will join you more than likely. No single riders allowed.
  10. I love Carowinds....it's not a KI or CP, but it's worth it.
  11. To be fair, WindSeeker, I believe was originally going to be placed to the right of it's current location (if you're looking at it walking down the midway toward it) behind Vortex's station drop. So the gal wasn't too far off.
  12. Great trip report!!!! I love the details you put into it. I'm so incredibly glad you enjoyed Diamondback in the front row at night. It's one of my favorite night rides and especially in the front. I remember when I worked at Diamondback, at the end of the night we'd do a test ride or two....I'd always fight my coworkers for a front row ride. However, the only time I hated front row was a Haunt several years back when it rained so much and it was so cold that a front row ride (well really any row) was so uncomfortable. Again, thanks for sharing!
  13. Nope...it needs to be a new each time they go through the process. Leaving a pot of boiling water can be a safety hazard as well as a health department issue (things going into the water unattended).
  14. @Bansheeback Pretty darn long...I don't think they've reached that point yet, but there is always a possibility.
  15. They cook for a lot more people than you cook for at home. Not to mention, their pots and pans aren't tiny either. It takes a bit for them to fill up with water, then to boil and then to actually cook.
  16. I've seen some parks including Cedar Point post on the doors (or outside of the stand) the hours their respective operation times. That would even be helpful.
  17. There's always a possibility. I'd wait until you get there to gauge the crowds (you don't want to buy it and there be no wait anyway), weather, etc.

  19. As I'm becoming more aware of how I and others act in parks....I have come to realize that the GP doesn't generally give two craps about spieling. It seems as if it's myself/other enthusiasts that ever make comments. I am getting to the point where I'm realizing things I care about too much are starting to hinder my actual visits to parks. As others have stated, spieling is a part of their job. They're going to do it whether we like it or not. There are bigger things to worry/complain about at parks....i.e. basketballs as prizes for the games.
  20. Wow, can't remember the last time I saw the park closing off the back half of a train.
  21. This is one park I need to get to.....looks like I'm gonna have to figure out a Florida trip sometime soon.
  22. http://www.coaster101.com/2017/06/19/give-kids-worlds-coasting-kids-returns/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook Apparently Coasting For Kids is returning with it being held at a few non-traditional park and a non-traditional format. My personal prediction, it won't be happening at any Cedar Fair park as Cedar Fair is focused on events that benefit local organizations (to each individual park).
