Cedar Point 2016 Talk
Creed Bratton replied to Bansheeback's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Honesty, that coaster looks pretty BA. I enjoy GCI wooden coasters. I also enjoy that the coaster uses a lot of land but in a compact footprint (if that makes sense). I also enjoyed the Paddlewheel boat. Too bad that wouldn't be back. -
More than likely not....as those passes that were renewed before the November 5th deadline have been activated for April 15th at Kings Island's gates. Those who renewed after November 5th have passes that are activated for April 16th at Kings Island's gates.

Drove by the park today and it seems like not a lot has been done to this structure since the last picture. Hoping to see it's final form Friday!- 41 replies

Great video Nick!! I really enjoyed it! I had to giggle because my voice didn't match up at some points with my words.

Cedar Point 2016 Talk
Creed Bratton replied to Bansheeback's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
From what Tony said, they are preliminary tests......so not full functioning tests like the holding brake before the dive and barely slowing down at the MCBR. He said that the train at the top was supposed to be slowed down/stopped before the holding area, but it didn't do that and just cruisedthrough. -
Time Saver is a great option! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I read an article before bed last night that they are anticipating a late April early May opening. Here's the article: http://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/experience/america/2016/04/07/dollywood-hopes-capture-lightning-coaster-2016/82717528/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ark Encounter Contract Signed
Creed Bratton replied to Oldiesmann's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Hilarious end of the article. Still not happy with this "Ark Encounter" coming in. I also think it's really shady that these expansions are happening when they originally were not supposed to. -
50 cent parking?!?!?!? What a steal!

There was a day not too long ago, you did. You also may not want to visit on Memorial Day/4th of July and/or anytime during Haunt.

I mean think of how many folks pick their nose before they touch that finger scanner..... And that's being polite
-
Don't forget, Six Flags generally have metal detectors before you get to the finger print scanners....those also allow for backups trying to get into the park.

Some one knows! I've been wondering if there will be a digital sign like at Carowinds: Source: http://coasteraddict.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Carowinds-park-entrance-sign-760x360.png I think it'd be a nice touch....or a planter with a water feature (as you are wondering about) would also be nice too. -
Just had a thought..... I'm wondering if the island (where the tree and bushes have been planted) will feature The Peanuts Gang in shrubbery form. That'd be a great touch!
-
That would be a service road under the tree cover....trucks, cars, golf carts, etc. pass through there numerous times a day.

Two things I enjoyed reading (There were more, but these are 2 things I want to point out) I feel like this is such a smart move. Yes, the structures may not be the most eye pleasing but until you've seen some of Six Halloween structures that are literal eyesores, what I've seen from CF so far we're in better shape! I hope to see more accommodations in the next fear years popping up around the Cedar Fair parks. I hope that they are company owned. I feel like I can trust Cedar Fair (based on previous experience staying in CF owned hotels) on making sure that the rooms are clean, beds don't have bedbugs, properties are clean and they aren't sketchy as some hotels out there. I truly would like to see a campground come back to Kings Island in the future too. While I don't have a camper or a tent, I feel like eventually camping in a tent sort of close to the park would be fun.
