  1. I'm not worried about those families, What I'd like to see is one train be primarily for those who want to use the VR. First train enters the station, primarily for VR. Say "Jason" is too young, he wouldn't have to ride alone, he just wouldn't have a VR headset. They load, get checked and sent on their way, 2nd train enters the station, those who wish to ride without VR board. They go through normal safety checks and are sent on their way, repeat. Having an every other train with one less step, checking the VR, would be quicker it seems to get more people through. As far as lines, I'm not sure if DDD has/had a flashpass lane...use that for VR or non VR riders.
  2. From his pictures of his day at the park, not extremely busy. From what I understand DDD already has terrible capacity, adding on something else to check, definitely slows down the experience. They don't have one train for VR and then one for No VR either, which I think stinks.
  3. The Girlz are Back (lol) could have little flavor such as TLC, 3LW, etc.
  4. I have a friend that visited SFoG today. He decided to try out "The New Revolution" on Dare Devil Dive. (BTW I hate that they're using "The New Revolution" on any coaster they have with VR technology). The friend said it is definitely worth a try. He said that he waited 2 hours to ride. When I asked him if that was 2 hrs just for the VR or for everyone....he said it was everyone. So, capacity definitely can be hindered by this new technology. When I visit next Sunday, I'm likely to head to DDD first, ride it without the VR and do the rest of the park. I so don't think standing in line 2 hours to put a VR headset on is worth it, especially if that is my one and only time to ride that coaster.
  5. Sometimes a live show gets 3 years because a new one only gets its debut season (2015) Are you talking about Boyz? TBH I liked that show.
  6. Apart from the Big Ripper and the entrance pavilion, there really isn't much left even for urban exploration. The guys who went through Six Flags: New Orleans had more to work with. I am surprised by the resolution of the pictures; I wasn't aware drones were that good.Sent from my ASUS MeMO Pad 7 using Tapatalk I think they typically use GoPro cameras which don't have bad resolution. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I thought the same thing. It seems weird to me that they also encourage you to not be fully ready to brace yourself, by having at least one hand up by the VR piece hitting a button. It'd be one thing if you knew what was ahead, but as you enter the brakes, I'm sure that could be interesting.
  8. Would he necessarily need to get made up to be a scareactor? lol
  9. Calling it now, 2016, Challenge Park will remain there with Challenge Golf and Ripcord. In 2017 we'll see the relocation of Ripcord and Challenge Golf will no longer be there. Soak City expansion in the former Challenge Park area. The CP app will be updated, when? This year.....at some point. Hopefully before the park opens as said at Winter Chill Out. Cedar Fair is rolling out newish websites later this year from what I understand too.
  10. Not everything is as it seems. Unfortunately, that's all I can say at this point. I'm looking forward to my visit next weekend.
  11. YES! I can say after riding Battle for Metropolis last year at SF:STL, I want that dark ride system, obviously the storlyline would be different, but having animatronics, special effects, etc. Very enjoyable ride.
  12. So I'm assuming all talks with the Jazzland group are now completely over.
  13. That's how my brain is after dealing with bratty 5th graders all day!
  14. Oh my god! I'm such a blonde today!!!!!!!!!! I'm sooooooo sorry! I read your original comment so wrong! I apologize!
  15. Either-way I still haven't found where on Facebook they claimed to be testing.
  16. IOE doesn't control clearance envelope testing
  17. I need to register still. Saturday of the event, halfway through the day I have to leave for a wedding and then should be back by ERT. Hope that'll work!
  18. I'm now lost. It seemed to me that Vortex lover was saying KK on Facebook was saying they are testing Storm Chaser, but disagrees with that since IOE just got onto the worksite. I was just sharing, multiple things that could be tested with our without IOE on grounds and not talking about the trains.
  19. I'm not seeing anything on their Facebook about testing. Testing can be a multitude of things. It can be as simple as the air gates in the station, to clearance testing to computer control testing, to electrical testing, etc. The word testing doesn't necessarily mean trains on track and being sent around for a cycle.
  20. You can process on the 18th. I'm planning on doing it. 10 Days? Yes. The certification process in Tennessee is not what it is in Ohio or New Jersey. From my understanding from a park employee, they have to run the ride a good few hundred times and as long as everything works properly, is safe, they get the sticker.
  21. Things seem to be quite interesting at this point!
  22. In part, I hope that the old Crypt Building doesn't go away. I may be in the minority here, but I enjoy the haunt that is in there. I enjoy it mostly because that used to be one of my ride homes.....you can ask the No Chickens and Magenta Lizard group....I pretty much was in tears walking through it, not because I was scared but because of all the memories that came flooding back.
