So I'll be turning 18 in about 2 months, so I was thinking about buying myself a Gold pass as a present (it's not like anyone else will give me one). I'm just not sure if it's worth it for me. I live 2 hours away, and depending on where I go to college, I may end up 5.5 hours away. Most likely, I'll just be an hour further away at most. I currently don't have a car, but I'll be able to use the family van once my parents get it back from my sister. Don't know if I'll be able to take it out of state though. I also don't know how often I'd get to go. I can only go the second week of June, and then I'll be going to WDW the third week. Rest of the summer, including most of August, should be free for me. I would just really love to be able to go to KI more than once a year. I hope to go at least once with some friends. I don't think I'll be going with my family at all due to the WDW trip. Does anyone have any advice for me? (The answer is probably yes.) Edit: Just want to clarify that I want a Gold pass. It gets you so much more for about $10 more; that's pretty obvious from the site.

They are indeed a true coal powered train. But for how long? -
Once again, Don has asked us to only link to the official release, NOT embed the map in the forums. It's all good! This year's park guide and map is the best one that we've had since I've been with the park. A lot more useful information is called out. As for the former Crypt building, it is not being removed. It's not in use Opening Day through Labor Day so it was taken out. It will return on the Haunt map in the fall. I prefer the old map style from the Paramount days, honestly. However, I much prefer the GPS map on the app. In my opinion, it looks much nicer and more proportional than the official map. Why don't you use that? Also, thanks for answering questions and stuff like that here. It means a lot to us. Diamondback96, who feels like he should change his avatar, as the Diamondback logo is copyrighted by Cedar Fair, LP or its subsidiaries. He also would like a username change, but feels like one is enough. He should also stop rambling; that would be nice, wouldn't it?

Or an INTAMIN anything, at that.

I'd assume it would be where the QTV system was before, since the footings and connections still seem to be there. Of course, Banshee and Diamondback would also be included.

A threat? That's not good... At all. -
Wasn't that at Michigan's Adventure? Diamondback96, reminded of a big blue B&M at Cedar Point (no, not that one!).

I'd like a gold/platinum pass.

I doubt kids care. -
But they don't have footers. Or footlongs, for that matter. Six dollar six inch...

Frisch's Big Boy Switching to Pepsi
Diamondback96 replied to Oldiesmann's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
That is true for most (if not all) drinks that are not water. -
Kings Island calls it a batwing. Therefore, a batwing it must be. Be that as it may, there is still an undoubtedly small, but clear difference between our "batwing" and other batwings. Which is why I call it a pretzel knot regardless of what the official status is by KI. The designer calls it a Batwing, therefore so does the park. So it must also be capitalized?

Same thing happened when BWW announced that they're switching to Pepsi next year. I'm sure both chains will be fine. -
Hopefully KI and WDW.

Mitch Hawker Polls 2013
Diamondback96 replied to TombRaiderFTW's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
My votes: Favorite Steel (Maverick) Blue Streak (Cedar Point) The Voyage The Beast The Racer (Kings Island) The Raven Mean Streak The Legend Woodstock Express (Kings Island) Maybe I caught Mean Streak on a good day. :\ Woodstock Express is at the bottom of the list because I haven't ridden it in years. Whenever I'm at KI I avoid Planet Snoopy. -

I think it should go to Mason. -
Maybe resources could have been put to better use for a new park. Or maybe not.
