  1. Dark uniforms also appear to have firearms Sent from my SM-T520 using Tapatalk
  2. He originally didn't want to write Lost World. He was persuaded to do so by Spielberg. It is rumored he brought back a dead character (Malcolm) out of a sick joy since he is a rough character to enjoy from the first book. my favorite Mc books: Jurassic Park, Prey, Congo, Airframe, Micro Least favorite: Lost World, Pirate Latitudes Sent from my SM-T520 using Tapatalk
  3. Cancer is caused by a multitude of factors, but basically you need two things to cause a gene to go wonky. Usually the two are a genetic disposition and an environmental addition. So for example, you have a genetic disposition for lung cancer and you work in a coal mine. Sometimes you may only get 1 of the two situations and never get cancer. Sometimes you get both and get lucky... This is a very over simplified explanation of cancer. Sent from my SM-T520 using Tapatalk
  4. You make a few good points ad they are understandable. However, in this day and age, a first to print mentality rules and there is no time to wait for a response. Viewers/readers/listeners are very quick to turn the channel to get info. So if station A waits for a call back (which could mean a two-6hour wait) while station b puts it on air right away. Station b will get the viewers, viewers bring ad revenue. When stations reduce their news operations, often 1 reporter will cover multiple sources (entertainment, legal, political, etc). Te media is not so much to blame as it is the viewers who switch channels Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yea I had passes during that time period. I remember it be long down off and on but not prolonged like this... Then again memory plays tricks on all of us Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. You all make it sound like there is a vast media conspiracy against theme parks, specifically locally versus KI. I can almost guarantee the media does my want bad things to happen to KI. There is no blood thirsty media turning normal operations into negatives. It has 100% to do with revenue and ad clicks. If a reporter is there and sees a ride down, they call it in. If they hear it over the scanners, they report it. I would venture Very few of you on here have ever set foot in a media center let alone worked for a media group. The few who have worked in media will understand me standing up for my media family. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I believe Don wrote about this back during the "ask Don" posts. I thought he said he just started tracking one day and one thing led to another... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. This is the first time I remember FoF being down for a prolonged time.... BB7 tap the brakes a bit on all of your posts man. Add to conversations don't just throw out 1 liners.... Just trying I be helpful not a mod Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Lay it all out in the table. If they know about your time off needed and hire you, then you can take the time off. If you don't tell them then need the time off you may not have a job when you get back.... Going into a new job I always planned a trip for a summer month just so I could get my trips around the country in. At jobs it's 100% easier to say, hey my trip fell through I am available this week versus saying hey I new this week off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Wikipedia is a decent way to understand broad topics but in depth knowledge it is not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Once in college to prove a point in class I deleted a Wikipedia post. My classmate got an email telling him the post was deleted ...Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. It's a Disney movie - a good one, too. Plus it's only been 6 months. It will die out eventually. This has probably been asked before, but does the waterpark still close at 8? If it does, what do people do between 8 and 9:20? I don't get how this works... I would guess you could probably get a ride on Beast or Banshee. Maybe even get a bite to eat.
  13. Theme park goers don't want to be fed, they want to hunt Sent from my SM-T520 using Tapatalk
  14. When we are young we are blessed with energy but no brains. When we are older we are cursed by brains but no energy Sent from my SM-T520 using Tapatalk
  15. Actually thats not a bad idea at all... I would make it a bit different. You hand out cards that have a specific time for them to get in line. This would be for new rides only. So when you walk into the park, you are handed a card that says you enter the queue between 1030-1045. That would maybe help spread guests out around the park, you wouldnt have the 5 hour wait of people in line...
  16. Well a snake does fit a river town motif.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. How many miles apart were those circles ? Also, that two liter bottle weighed what 1-3 pounds ?
  18. Yea but when Mr. Kinzel escaped his handlers he didnt eat the park guests...
  19. Same reason why we dont use Metric. Hard to make a change.
  20. Well Terp, I think you are missing the future implications of awesome. In the future when you walk into a park, they hand you a clipboard with a predetermined number of rides on with ride times. You just look on the sheet walk to the ride, get on and get off. Like no real waiting time.....
  21. If they are giving out numbers, why would you even have to stand in line? They could have a big counter at the front of line saying "Now Serving guests: 300-350" and if you have any of those numbers you get in the queue....
  22. I enjoy the extra security. It's one of those if I need em they are there Sent from my SM-T520 using Tapatalk
  23. If you dont think its appropriate for your kids, then dont bring them. Some kids will love to see Frozen and some kids will think its too young. Some kids will love to see Jaws later this year as a Dive In movie. Same thing here.
