But to be fair, Universal does not offer the multi-day visit experience as WDW. On a very busy couple of days, I could see how you could maybe do 3 days at Universal. Maybe. I can see 2 days for sure, possibly the third day, if it is incredibly packed. WDW can get you for at least 3-4 days minimum if your goal is to go to every park. HS is considered by some as a half day park, but MK, EPCOT, AK, are all full days or more.

I think the big tables make it feel similar to a German style restaurant. I love the idea of Schmidts, Morelein, or even Hoffbrauhouse. Something German would fit perfect in the German building. As for the front gate, what about a family steak house open to the public and the park guests? Revenue all year round? Work with a local steak guy, such as Jimmy G or Jeff Ruby? Imagine going to eat at KI, the price of parking could be used as a "coupon" towards the meal for guests. If I am not mistaken, there is not a great steak house out near mason, it could be done very well and attract a great number of guests. Imagine eating and over looking the park in the middle of December? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Public Stock Options on Parks

Actually I have spoke with a few professionals who say save for retirement versus the young ones college. There is federal help for college nt so much for retirement. I was just wondering what people have done with park stocks. I have a 403b the wife has a 401k we may open a Roth as well but think this might be a fun opportunity that will grow with him. It won't be a bank buster in any way shape or form Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Public Stock Options on Parks

Yea I had been reading about Disney more for the idea that its a nice stock that as he gets older he can understand what he "owns." Disney does let you buy directly from them but you need either 250$ down or $50/month. They do send out the stock certificate if you request one and will send reports on request. I figure its a nice start. I like the mutual fund idea as well, and will probably go that route for myself. When I was a kid, my grandpa got my sister and I one stock of P&G. Man that was cool, too bad I sold it to buy a car when I was younger and dumber... -
No. I didnt think we did both parks. Mind you this was almost 15 years ago, but I would have sworn (probably not right) that we only did one park and did things from both of the current parks. I thought something was still under construction when we went as well.... But maybe we did both parks and I was just so young I dont remember

Do any of you buy directly or use a stock company? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
But with a statement like that, I wonder why it has to be made? From a park point of view, why would I want my workers confusing my paying guests? I want them to know they are at a Cedar Fair park, not a park of flags....

I couldnt find a previous topic on stocks and companies, and I searched through 3 search pages.... If you have made the plunge into owning and trading stocks, do you keep any of the parks in your portfolio? Im thinking of making an investment into Disney for my son. Working through the company to make small payments each month and helping to build my son's portfolio. Disney seems like a solid investment and if anything, he will be able to say he owns (part of) Disney, well he will when he can talk. So what are you stock stories of Park Ownership? Current Market values: FUN (Cedar Fair) : 49.99 DIS (Walt Disney Company) : 80.39 SIX (Six Flags Entertainment) : 40.10 BX (Blackstone Group ) : 29.20

I dont think the problem with Spiels is the individual but more a company mindset problem. When you have young men and women, who have not been trained on what is and isnt appropriate, and you give them a microphone and tell them "entertain the masses" you end up with some bright spots, some low lights, and mostly in-betweens. While yes, a spiel can be done so that it is entertaining and not distracting, the question remains why would you put that into the hands of unprepared young men and women. Having the ride ops all say the same thing "how was your ride" may seem boring and generic, but its better than the alternative of a kid trying to make jokes by changing the name of the park/ride/stats. I will go into better detail about the TTD experience from a few years ago. The op on the microphone wouldnt speak till he checked his section of the ride. HE would then go through the safety of the ride. While others were getting checked he would ask for riders to raise their hands if it was the first time. Ask if anyone was from the west coast, etc. He had a great up beat attitude and made the experience all the better. I think he did ask how was the ride, but honestly, his previous interactions made this question seem genuine. I dont go to a park to be entertained by the ride ops. I go to experience the park, to be entertained by the entertainers and to enjoy the coasters. If a ride op wants to give me stats on a coaster, thats great. Welcome me to the park and ask how my ride was, okay so be it. But I dont like the idea of a ride op trying to steal the show from the individual ride.

Maybe capital? Easier to get more money to fix other rides once the park is open? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A spiel versus a genuine interaction are two different things. I rode TTD ad the ride op was genuinely talking to guests and asked about first riders, etc. not only that but told the rules of the ride. At CP on the same day rode one of the steel coasters and the spiel and shtick got real old real fast. Shtick versus genuine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In all fairness it is paramount to note that the park then has a different fair attitude in its management, many who have desks of cedar (I apologize for my attempt to go all terpy ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Don't be sorry. Sometimes a thread gets lost. Plus it's only been dead for like 2 weeks not 2 years Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Cold water has been linked to boost testosterone.... so thats a plus.... I have no memories of KI's water park. Wait... I have one, doing the body board/wave/surf board ride.... My water park memories, however, are filled with Surf Cincinnati and the Beach.... Not to high-jack the thread but the Inter-tube rapids ride at Surf Cincinnati will be my #1 best memory maker second only to the water slides that ran parallel to the lazy river at Surf...

Im not sure where you got that photo from but... Is that a doggy door I see next to the window? We had a dog would bust out of windows and screens to sit on the roof of our porch...

I understand but it's no different than a non theme park restaurant losing your reservations. It sucks but not the end of the world. These changes could be great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
